PCOS and its stimulation protocols

As we know that the egg quality greatly depends upon the stimulation protocol used .
i want some information from all pcos women who are trying to conceive and thoso who have conceived .What was your stimulation protocol each time and what was the result ??Which protocol gave the best result??

i dont have definite pcos, but i was on the pcos protocol. i did 10days of Lupron (10units) all the way up until the trigger shot. then 10days after lupron, i started gonal-f and menopur. they started me with 75u of Gonal-f and then lowered to 37.5 b/c i overresponded a little. i was on 1u of menopur the whole time. the stim meds lasted about a week for me.

i had my ER on tues, and ET is this sun.

How many eggs were retreived??If you remember what was your baseline fsh and LH level ??

i had 20 eggs retrieved, and i am not sure about the levels you're talking about. i know my estrodiol level was 3722 at my last u/s before retrieval, but i think that's different than what you're referring to.

actually i was referring to the FSH,LH and E2 level at the starting of IVF cycle . It is taken on day 3 after starting AF .
20 eggs is a good number and Best of Luck for your Beta

I have PCOS and am currently going through IVF. I just had 20 eggs retrieved with 19 mature and 17 embryos. I started w/ Lupron 10 units and then down to 5 units along w/ Follistim 150iu for 3 days and they had to decrease the meds thereafter. Do you have your protocol yet?

kildean - have you had your ER yet? i am curious to know how many embryos are good quality and ready to transfer. out of my 15 fertilized eggs, i only had 1 top quality embryo and 4 lower grade ones on day 3. my day 5 transfer is tomorrow...i hope there are better embryos now waiting for me

21bat- I am not sure the quality yet, The doc said I have 17 embryos all dividing into 2 and 4 cells. This is day 2 post et. I am scheduled for 5 day transfer on Tuesday. Hopefully I will no more about quality tomorrow.

Well , I had protocol of No lupron ,Follistim from day 3 and then ganerelix after day 7 of stimulation.13 eggs were retrieived .2 were transferred ,resulted in BFN.The RE said that repeating the same protocol again would be good and you can acheive pregnancy .
my question is that only the above protocol is good for me or choosing a different protocol can produce better eggs ??
I am little confused by my RE's saying about repeating the same protocol .

It was a Day3 transfer and I had 3 blastocysts for freezing .

Did the re give you a reason as why he felt it didn't take? Are you going to do fresh cycle or FET? It seems like I was on low dose meds and they worked fine for me. I had 19 mature and 17 embryos. I go for 5 day transfer tomorrow. I think I have 5 blast but they are only putting in two because of age. Are you going to transfer two next time. I would probably talk to my RE about using a different protocol or for him to least give me some type of understanding(egg quality) it just seems like he was vague.

Actually I have decided to go for a fresh Cycle in april.My RE gave a number of reasons but you can find thoso reasons on the internet also ..no specific reason was given . She said might be embryo quality was not that good so it didnot implant or some infection might have been pushed inside the womb during transfer.
After 8 days of ET i had severe cramping for 2-3 minutes .
She then said that once they had put the embryos in the womb they could do nothing .She suggested to repeat the same protocol again .
I am little confused here that if i go to some other DR. and he/she changes the protocol then ??Why did my RE said to repeat the same protocol/ I have seen many women with pcos taking Menopur (FSH and LH hormones combo)which some clinics disagree of using on pcos women .They say that pure FSH like follistim is best which produces better quality eggs.
