Amy, good luck on thyroid test on Friday. Hoping you can start.

Andrea, great to hear from you. We will be here while you 2ww it. We will help you along! Best of luck to you!!! Keep in touch. Glad you liked the cheezy glitter. Here's another one for you.

Well, today's sono was very much like yesterday's. I have four follies and we are going another 2 days to see if any of the little ones catch up. Still unsure about what to do. Re wants to wait and see before we make decision. If I have more than 4, we will probably stick with IVF, if less, we will go IUI. We just want to be carfeul with the IVF's because insurance will only cover a couple more. Maybe next month I will have more follies. Seems as though my body does what it wants to do. RE said it will fluctuate. Probably due to age. We all know about that.

Enjoy the day! Hoping for the best for all of you. Keeping the faith.

hi chriss - thinking of you and hoping your follies continue to grow in size and in number! grow follies, grow!!!!!! Hope you'll feel confident and keep the PMA whether the decision is made to convert to IUI (where you DID get pregnant before!) or proceed with IVF. Remember -- to quote your quote --- have faith in how far you can go! Breathe in deeply with positive thoughts and breathe out the negativity and let go of your stress --
keep us posted on your progress!
Hey, that is great that at least your insurance covers tmt over 40, and more than one try at that! -- here in Germany - once you're 40, you are on your own as far as paying for tmt is concerned...
keep growing follies!!! hope you have a good report at your next scan!

Sorry about the 3x post. What happened??? Don't know how I managed that one.

Amy, thanks for your nice reply. I feel so grateful to have you as my friend. It really means a lot. And yes, my DH and I are so thankful that we have insurance. Thanks for helping me to feel better about all of this. Good luck tomorrow!!!

Amy, how did test go? Is it too early for results?

We decided to go with IUI. Went in today. DH sperm count was WAY LOW. Lowest it's ever been. We go back tomorrow for double insemination. Can't help but wonder if we shoulda stuck with IVF, but not a healthy way to think. It's outta my hands.

Thinking of you all.

GOOD LUCK CHRISS FOR IUI!!!

I know its a bit of a let down after prepping yourself for a full cycle, but you've had a BFP with IUI before, and this one is a medicated IUI with multiple follies! It's great that you're not wasting a single cycle - and you can save the $$ for the next IVF. Thinking of you! And BTW - nice quotes!

Amy - how did the test go last Friday?

As for me - still hanging in here  :(  :D Usual 2WW roller coaster, altho it's been more like a train wreck for me! I'm feeling so sure it hasn't worked, I've booked a holiday away in a couple of weeks time. (Actually it's a trip back home we've been putting off for a while due to this treatment, to visit MIL who is ill at the moment...) I know I should be thinking PMA but fel like I have 'kicked dog' syndrome at the moment. Don't worry - by the time I get off this computer, I'll probably be feeling sure it has worked -hence the agony of the 2WW...

Hope everyone had a good weekend. I'll pop by later to keep you ladies updated...

Hey Ladies-

How is everyone doing? How are our ladies in waiting, Chriss and Andrea? Sending lots of magical baby dust your way :D

Joanna sorry to learn of your BFN. My thoughts are with you and DH.

A few vent words on insurance coverage and fertility. Sadly in the state of Georgia, insurance companies are not required to cover infertility tmt  So sad since some couples really don't have the option to shop insurance for the plan that covers this situation. Hopefully the petition going around the state will have an impact on insurance legislation in my home state. Sadly, I don't think I'll get to benefit from it, but I'm hopefull that in the near future many women residing in my state will.

Amy-fingers crossed on the stimm start date :D I'm on the 'french' protocol---and started Friday evening with evening shots of drug slips my mind something like ganerlyx. and BC patches. AF arrived this morning, will call clinic and have lining measured tomorrow. DHEA I continued last time through the retrival. Do you know why your RE suggests to stop taking it when begin stimms? I took some L-arginine this morning at the start of AF to 'help with the blood flow in the abdomen'. tomorrow should begin morning and evening injections of bravel and menopur; back to being a pin cushion.

Price-how you holding up girl? thinking of you. what of your trip? can it be rescheduled? is it an opportunity that rolls around once in a blue moon. Can you delay tmt to accomadate the trip? DH and I did not take any vacation in the last 17 months :( between new job, DH's work schedule and ivf tmt. It just didn't work out. We were suppose to go to Chicago last labor Day, but I ended up with OHSS and we had to cancel :( I hope to have time in May to take a week away from work for total relaxation :) I'm very hopeful for this opportunity :D I guess what I'm saying to both of us is don't get lost in tmt. Remember we need to recharge ourselves, our relationships, our lives. Take time to pamper yourself. Ask yourself [and myself] do I really need to rush into the next cycle of treatment? Do I deserve a small break to rejuvenate my sole before I continue on with my plan? I wish the very best for you and DH.

So, onward and onto stimms for me assuming tomorrow goes well.

A big shout out to all the lovely ladies who contribute here: Sonia, Tammy, Yasmina, Luanne, JenB, Anna, and anyone I may have left out. Thanks for all your wisdom imparted on these pages.

All the Best

Hi Andrea, great to hear from you. I know the 2ww torture. Wish I could make it easier for you. You have come such a long way, and here you are at the 2ww. When is beta? What have you been doing? Resting up? Working? I'm thinking of you. Keep the PMA!!!!!!!

Catharine, thanks for PMA wishes. I'm sorry to hear about the difficulties of obtaining insurance for IF treatments where you live. It's really pretty crazy. This is not cosmetic surgery we are talking about.
Looks like you will be starting in no time. You have certainly been taking care of yourself. All of your hard work will pay off.

Looking forward to hearing from you Amy.

Had IUI #2 this morning. Sperm count still pretty low, a little better than yesterday. It only takes one, right?

Thinking of you all, Looking forward to sharing all of our BFP's together!

Treatme....welcome, not sure I have seen you on this thread. There is always hope my dear, and PMA (positive mental attitude)
Cath...I am holding up well. I have a work related vacation in early March that I am so looking forward to. I think the next cycle will be the one for us, and I will stimm over the week of Easter, so I won't be working. I really felt I jumped right back into work too soon on IVF #1. I guess I have to blame the BFN on something. Are you stimming? Thinking of you too!
Kiwi- hang in on your 2ww.
Chriss.....how are you feeling? I love your PMA....keep spreading it around.

Hi ladies

Thanks for asking about me. Am a completely miserable sod at the moment so have refrained from logging on this thread and spreading those negative vibes...! I'm convinced I have raging PMT. I have been pregnant twice before and am not feeling any of the symptoms I even remotely felt before. But, as the ladies on the other thread have said, every woman feels different things and each pregnancy may be completely different...

Chriss - my test date is officially this Sat. But as it is Chinese New Year over here, everything completely shuts down! So the BT will be delayed till Monday 11th. And Yes! - I have sucumbed to temptation and bought 3 HPT yesterday! - Not sure if I'll use them but hey, with the way I'm feeling, the sooner I get put out of my misery the better! (But if I test negative - do I still continue on all my meds until the official test date?)

Was convinced DE was going to be the 'easy' option but now it's looking like we may have just thrown $30K down the toilet...

Sorry girls to vent on. Will try and drag myself out of this one and promise to have my smile back soon...

Andrea

hi andrea - sorry the 2ww seems to be getting the better of you -- From what I've read, every pregnancy is different, your body can react differently each time and just because you don't feel the same way as you did other times you've been pregnant, doesn't necessarily mean it hasn't worked! (think positive!!!) Do hope you can rally up some PMA for the homestretch! thinking of you! And, if you do decide to do the HPT and it is negative, of course you should continue with your meds till your bloodtest -- that is why they are called evil sticks, because you can't always trust their results....best of luck to you this week!

chriss - best of luck to you with this IUI! hoping everything works out for you this time! find that pma!! did you get the zita west book? let me know what you think of it!

pricecake - glad to hear you have found a time that works best for you to cycle again! wishing you lots of luck and PMA!

catharine - sounds like you are on your way to a bfp! got my fingers crossed for you! happy stimming to you!

I should be starting stimming in exactly a week -- still waiting till tomorrow or friday for the thyroid test results...still waiting for AF to start (she is late!) and yesterday I suddenly fainted while talking on the telephone...I don't feel as if I'm off to a good start just yet! going into the doctor today to see what is up....would like to believe that I am pregnant, but that would be a miracle...will keep you girls posted.

baby dust to everyone!
