Whoa...I just missed 3 pages of postings bc it didn't send me my email reminder...I have to catch up! Hope everyone is well! I am on puking about once a day, just in the morning, so it is like nothing to me now! I'm getting food down and at the rate I'm going, I think I will gain the weight quickly now!

Woodcliff...I"m getting so excited for you! I think we were on the same thread when my first IVF cycle didn't work in August. Is that when you got pregnant?

Faith...Yes! I think we were on the same 'page' then...I am so, so happy that you are pregnant with twins now...and so sorry you've had a rough go with the M/S...

but am happy to hear that it is 'only' once a day now (! that still sounds yukky, do take care)...

You know, babies have thrived for centuries in utero...during wars, famine, mom's being sick, etc...and turned out JUST FINE...don't worry about the weight gain (want some of the almost 50 pounds I've gained? yuk yuk)...

best to all of you, and, oh, Faith, the boards were down so that's why you did not get your reminders!

Quita--I love love love the pics! They are just precious! I love the bathtub pic/elvis hair! :D :D I'm relieved the Kimberly doesn't have to pop anymore out before she's ready...

Big news over here--Ellie's crawling! I'm going to try and post a video sometime this week. She's been gaining new skills each day for a week or so now, but this weekend she got pretty proficient! Her brother shows no interest...

As for Big B, he's been up a lot of nights lately. It could be his ears, but I have to think it's teeth. The only thing that seems to settle him is Tylenol. I feel like I"m "drugging him", but otherwise, he doesn't sleep and is just miserable. Any advice?

Kimberly--hope you had a fun weekend.

Hope the rest of you gals are well. Faithandhope--no sickies? Crossing my fingers here...

Yeah Ellie!!! I can't wait to see the video. I love little crawling babies. It always makes me smile.

Like like Big B, Nicholas is still showing no interesting in crawling. He just sits and sucks on his fingers. He is so different from his brother. Jeremy is a little ball of energy, always on the go, stealing Nicki's toys, fussing for attention, etc. While Nicholas just sits back and watches. For two babies who started out as the same embie, their personalities couldn't be more different!

They have been sick for over a week. They have stuff coming out of their noses and their ears! Even with the tubes, they still got ear infections but at least the nasty stuff can drain out. (Once you see what has been trapped behind their ear drums, you realize why babies are so fussy with ear infections.)

They will be 9 months old on Valentines Day. The first 3 months of their lives seemed to last for 3 years, but the last 6 months have flown by.

Seventeen Weeks Tomorrow : Ten weeks corrected : weight 9.1lb & 10.5

Laura Lou you don't know how pleased I am to hear you say that..its been a very long 17 weeks for me as the bambinos were 7 weeks and 2 days prem and its taken a whole lot of sleepless nights for them to start catch up. I've hear that 12 weeks is the magic number when you start feeling some sembiance of normality again.

They are slowly getting towards longer sleeps now and are averaging a 5 a half hour stretch between 11 and 4.30am - however last night it was 2.45am again and as it takes an hour to feed and change them both and ages for me to get to sleep sometimes as at the back of my mind I know i've only got a few hours - some days feel very long.

However, I have to keep reminding myself how precious they are to me and what a long journey we've all been on to get them here. This time last year I had just started the down regs and I had little faith if I'm honnest of the IVF working first time. I was a nervous wreck....and now I am the proud mother of two of the loveliest babies in the world. Who would have thought it! I am soooo so lucky.

Thank you guys for checking out my pictures. Love to you all xxx

laura--same deal here. Ellie is go go go. Braeden is mellow fello. By any chance is Nicholas baby B? I wonder if it's an A dominance issue? :?: :?: Like Jeremy, ellie is a toy thief.

I'm going to TRY to post a short video of Ellie crawling later tonight. We'll see if I can manage.?

Okay, I tried to post a video---sorry it looks grainy. It doesn't look that fuzzy on my camera. :?: :?: Anyway, she's getting better each day. You can also see her brother "skydiving" in the background. He lays on his belly and flails his legs and arms--very funny!

faith and hope--Yeah for you!!! I'll keep my fingers crossed for ya! Kicking already, huh? Wow! Enjoy that feeling...oh I do miss that! :)

quita--those first two months are so hard. I know. And then, it seems, little by little they get better. First, when they hold their heads up, they gain a little independence, then when they sit up--a little more, then they move--oh no! And oh, when the sleep--you're like a new woman! Trust me, I'm not getting much sleep now (thanks to braeden's teeth), so I'm much crankier and more irritable right now. It DOES GET BETTER! Hang in there, you've come so far!

Quita- You are almost at the end of the hard part! Once they are sleeping 8+ hrs at night, you will start to feel like yourself again. No longer wandering around in a daze wondering that you have done to your life! No matter how much we love and want our babies, the first 3 months with twins are so hard.

Kim- Yes, Jeremy is baby A and Nicholas baby B. I love Ellie's video! She is so cute. Give her a week and you won't be able to catch her! Braeden looked like he was trying to swim!

Faith- Congrats on the not throwing up!!! Hopefully you are all done with that. I have another video of the boys for you. Jeremy doesn't start crawling in it until the end. They needed a nap and were a little fussy. http://s253.photobucket.com/albums/hh56 ... IM0373.flv

Woodcliff- Hope you are feeling well. How are you doing on deciding what to get for your babies?

Good afternoon everyone!

Ok- I am the only one who cannot get videos to play!!! Very frustrating because I really, really want to see our movers and shakers!! BUMMER! I'll try again!

Hopefully all the babies are feeling much better right now. Cold and flu season is certainly upon us and creating quite the mess! Luckily, we have escaped it thus far but I'm still crossing my fingers. :P

Faithand hope~ WHOOOHOOOOO! Four whole days!!! I bet you feel like a million bucks! A gal on our recent vacation was 4.5 months pg, still sicker than a dog and down 15 lbs. so I saw what you must have felt like first hand. YIKES! Glad you are on the up and up! Isn't the kicking a blast? Enjoy!

Quita~ Your little ones sound like they are doing great! ADORABLE!!! What would we do w/o photobucket? Also, I can keep the embies frozen for a while longer!

Laura~ Are the boys better? Wish I would watch them on the video but I have no idea what I am doing wrong? May be that my computer is an antique?? Hope both little ears are better.

Kim~ Ellie crawling!!!! How thrilling! Is Braeden sleeping better? Hope so for your sake! Time really flies huh? It's a bitter sweet moment that I both look forward to and dread. They are so sweet and cuddly and I can't imagine them moving on their own but on the other hand it would be so handy if they could just get a few things on their own. Good luck on the sleeping!

We had a great weekend with TONS, and I mean TONS of snow!!! My dog was in heaven and the weather was beautiful. It's hard to beat a weekend in the mountains with great friends. My dinner was just alright. Not as good as I had hoped for but they were lucky I did anything at all since the babies were of no help! Everyone stayed up late and drank a lot and needless to say the babies were spoiled rotten! They seemed pretty happy to play on their own once we were home though so that was good. They didn't sleep well but I didn't think they would so I wasn't surprised. I'll have to post some pics soon! They are getting so big! The next photo session is the end of the month. Can't wait!

Better run before Annelise wakes her very tired brother. Dh is home but for some reason he can't hear her??? Go figure! Selective hearing!

Take care~

Kim! oooooh, the video just made me smile so wide...the babies are ADORABLE...so sweet...

I am feeling more 'confident' re: what to buy, as in, I have researched stuff to death and you know, it's not like I'm going to have to defend a PhD on this! So if I make a mistake on a purchase, I can give it away to my local mother's group!
That said, the crib still stumps me...sigh. Just want a baby crib with a side drop, doesn't have to be a converting one...would rather it not be.

Kholtan, the snow in the mountains sounds fantastic, and your menu made my mouth water! I bet it was delicious...glad you had fun and the babies did as well...

FAITH: I am so, so happy for your wellness...you're at the best stage of the pregnancy and you deserve to enjoy it!!!

I can't get around much anymore! oh dear, week 28 kicked me hard, baby boy's positioning hurt like the devil and I ended up at L&D where the resident went on and on about bogus stuff like 'twisted ovary' or 'hernia' ... it was totally the baby's positioning...poor kid doesn't have room to stretch, except into my nerves!

Am much better now...done with my work, and trying to line up a nanny...boy, Kholtan, I just may call you...I am leaning toward an agency and a live in, as I need someone who can travel overseas with us...it's the right gig for the right nanny ..but then, I need a twin expert as well.

This will be costly, but we have put the $$$ aside for help and I know getting someone competent who cares about the babies is worth every penny...when they hit pre-school I could change tactics and maybe go the au pair route...then I can cut back a bit on the 'help'. ha. or so I think.

Found a night nanny who specializes in twins and multiples...
just hope she's free when the babies come.

Insane...my OB scheduled my c-section for April 14...38 weeks, 3 days! But my BP seems to climb, then the second reading is always normal...my OB is not concerned, but my husband takes my BP every day, as we do not want to take any chances...no protein in urine, thank god...that would be my only obstacle to getting to week 38.

Best to all of you...my feet swell when I sit at my computer so I try to be offline a lot. ha. easier said than done.

xxooo

woodcliff--I can't believe how far along you are...it seems like you just joined us. Take it easy. It's amazing how the BP and protein can come at you quickly....at least it did for me! As for your crib dilemma, you'll deal with whatever you get--we have convertibles, but right now I'd kill for a drop side! With Braeden waking so much at night, I'm having to get him out of bed to rock him, and he's heavy! Where are you in the world? My sister is getting her degree in early childhood this spring. She's not an official "nanny", but boy, is she an expert at helping a twin mommy! She'd love a job that allowed some travel!

Kimberly--glad your trip went well! I hope you got to enjoy some drinks! I'm on our "backup" computer right now (dh has the good one), and I can't see Laura's video either. I think it has to do with the flashplayer. You might need an upgrade to see them? Oh, you must must post some new pics! They grow so fast!

Laura--I have this whole Baby A, BAby B theory. Of course, it's only based on my babies and my dear friend's babies. But your boys support my theory!

As for us, Ellie hit another mark today--her first tooth! Yeah! She was a bit fussier than normal today (which isn't saying much, because she IS a drama queen some days...), and I thought I'd rub her gums to see if that helped and YIKES! Something sharp! I looked in, and yup, there was a little tooth starting to poke through. She's been a trooper though, not much fussing, for the most part. I guess she's been distracted by crawling around and inspecting our "babyproofing" abilities (sub-par, I'm afraid!) Poor Braeden has been working so long and hard to get that tooth out, and his sister beat him. :( I'm starting to wonder if his fussiness at night is due to his ears still? We go for a recheck Friday--I PRAY that their ears are better. I"m so sick of medicines! He did sleep really well last night though. I should be happy about that, but instead it makes me REALLY NERVOUS about tonight.....
