Hi Joanie

Thanks for asking! I am doing fine. Things didn't go so well for us. Only one embie out of 4 survived. And it didn't survive well....lost a lot of cells. RE said they were great quality when they were frozen, doesn't know what happened, sometimes it just happens.
We did the transfer anyway....might as well, my body was ready! I will keep doing the shots and behave until the PG test, but I am not really getting my hopes up. RE wasn't optimistic either.

I am determined not to dwell on it, I have just accepted it as a BFN.

Your transfer day is the 18th? That's the day of my PG test, so I will send all of my baby thoughts to you!!

Dear Beth,

I know this will be hard to do, but try not to give up hope too soon. It ain't over till the fat lady sings. I will definitely be thinking and praying and hoping for you and your family.

Beth,

This is my first FET. I am feeling positive today but it goes up and down. RE and I decided that we are transferring 5 embryos. I know that is a lot but I really need for this to work so hopefully this will increase my chances of becoming a mom.

How are you doing?

Wow! Joanie! Five embies! That's cool...how many do you have frozen?
By your signature, you have really been through a lot, I hope this is your time! You deserve it!!

I am doing fine. I think these meds are increasing my appetite! I feel like I am always eating! I made a batch of brownies last night and I can't keep my hands off of them! Dangerous stuff. but yummy.
I am dying for a cup of coffee, but I will be good and wait.

Have a great day!

Beth

Oooh, I love brownies. My appetite has been messed up. I don't have a big appetite right now. The NP called last night and said my estrogen level is like 400 something and this afternoon I just got really tired all of a sudden. I also have gas. I think it is from the antibiotics. People have been saying that I am glowing. I think that the lupron has something to do with it.

Yes, I have been through a lot. My first ectopic was a surprise. I was at work and it just felt like something was pulling at my leg and my side hurt a little. I thought that something was going on with my appendix....pregnancy was the last thing on my mind. The second time we weren't trying but I was watching carefully because I didn't want to be surprised again. The third time we decided to try so I bought those ovulation predictor kits. We started in November and I got pregnant the first time. I found out that I was pregnant a couple of days before Christmas and decided I needed an ultrasound quick. Well, it was another ectopic and the baby had a heartbeat. I was in awe. We saw the sac on the ultrasound so I thought it was all good, but the sac was empty. When the tech said, "I'm afraid that it is another ectopic" I broke down. It was soooo sad.

Enough of the sad stuff...I had 30 eggs for the retrieval, 23 fertilized, 11 made it to (5 day) blastocyt, 1 made to 6 days. They transfered 3 embies the first IVF. RE said that they were textbook, but they didn't take. He was thinking my uterus wasn't receptive or something. I have 9 embies left over.

Oh, Joanie, how heartbreaking for you!

I really can't imagine going thru all of that, and here I am complaining my embies didn't thaw. I have my miracle baby, I guess asking for number 2 was too much...

I am pulling for you.
Glowing is good, you are excited and positive about this FET. Have you told many people about what you are doing?
9 embies frozen, what a great number! You can relax, if one or two don't survive, they will just pull out more!
Are they doing anything to help your uterus become "more receptive"?

I didn't tell hardly anyone, I guess it's good, I don't have a lot of explaining to do!

Hey girls!
Beth, don't give up...my boss transferred 2 C grade embies all she had left and the doctor didnt give her any hope and she has a beautiful boy now. So you never know which embies are meant to be!

Joanie, good luck with your upcoming transfer. I'll be thinking of both of you on 02/18!!

Full of Faith

Thanks for words of encouragement

Beth

Full of Faith is right don't give up and you do deserve to have another child if that is what your heart desires. Everyone here has there own personal journey and no one's journey is less or more than the other persons. This entire infertile situation is hurtful no matter how we got here. I am pulling for you.

JOANIE!!!!!!!!!
Monday is your day!! Aren't you excited?
Thanks for being encouraging. I am trying to stay positive, and I am still being careful, but...deep down I feel it didn't work.
And people can be rude, a lot of ignorant comments I have heard about trying for #2, people just don't understand....

Full of Faith, thank you for being encouraging also. It's hard to stay positive when your own doctor was doubtful!!

Me, still eating like a piggie...I just want Monday to get here already!
The PIO shots are exhausting!

Beth,

Yes, I am excited. I have a really good feeling. I will keep my fingers crossed for you on Monday. You never know....have your little one rub your belly for good luck and baby dust before you get your beta.

Yea, people can make ignorant comments. My cousin told me that I can't have everything. I guess she was referring to my husband and I being successful and having a loving relationship, and she thought that me having a baby was just asking for too much. If I would have told her that when her husband left her she would have had a fit.

Now, I just tell my immediate family and one close friend. They don't really comment on the situation and that is what I like. I just need someone to listen sometimes. I don't need any ignorant advice from people who just don't understand what I am going thru. This is why I like coming to this message board.
