Jenn: I LOVE the name Anna. I have wanted to name a girl that for years. But let's just say... with my last name that would be, well, impossible  . I'm hoping the stripping of your membranes gets things going.

Angie: Glad to hear the US went well and wombat is behaving his/herself. I think it is brave of you not to find out the gender... I am such a neurotic, I don't know that I could take the suspense

All right, so here are the goods...
Out of 32 ferts, we have

6 at 8 cell
5 at 7 cell
3 at 6 cell

The rest are either fragmenting or are less than 5 cells. The numbers are about what I was expecting. My hopes are riding on the 8 and 7 cell buggers.

Considering our history, RE is "cautiously optimistic" that I will have a transfer as scheduled on Thursday. If I don't hear from him Thursday morning, I will go in that afternoon for ET.

Ciao!

Hello all! Sorry I have not posted recently. Nothing too exciting going on around here. I have my 12 week scan this afternoon. Yeah! I am for some reason not that worried about this one....perhaps because I broke down and rented a fetal doppler machine recently! :D It actually feels good for once to think of going to the clinic and actually being excited instead of just shaking and terrified. This is our last visit to the clinic before they toss us back to my regular OB/Gyn doc. How sad! I feel like they have been through so much with us over the last year. Oh well, on to bigger and better things I suppose. I also have my nuchal scan tomorrow...which I guess I am a little nervous about. Hmmm...guess everything makes me pretty nervous, but oh well! That is just pregnany, huh? I did pull a little trick and scheduled my 1st appt back at my regular OB/Gyn for next week....a scan a week - now that is what I am talking about!! :D

Sassy - Your fert report sounds great!!! I am excited for you and wish you all the best!! Did you say yet how many you are going to trasfer? That must be a tough decision. Please keep us posted on the transfer!! I will keep you in my thoughts until then!!! :)

Angie - You are a woman with a lot more will power than me! I can't wait to know what I am having. My husband and I both think it is a girl...probably because he knows I would like a girl. But hey - whatever we have is fine with me! I can't believe how quickly it seems your pregnancy is progressing - very exciting!

Jenn - I am thinking Anna will be born on Feb 8th. That would be Friday and it is my mom's birthday also. So, there you have it...Friday it is and you need not worry anymore! :D Cute name, by the way! I like Sienna and Savannah for girl names. My husband says Savannah sounds like stripper - I totally disagree! I also like Scarlett, but he won't go for that either. For a boy, I like Aiden or Noah. Yes, you can probably tell I put a lot of thought into this already! :D

Meg - I am so sorry about your cousin. That is so tough and so difficult to comprehend, isn't it? I sometimes wonder how people deal with what life throws at them. I am happy Ms. Lucy is sleeping through the night. I still don't know how I am going to deal with getting no sleep....then again with all the peeing during the night, I guess I am halfway there already!

Fee - I think I am still laughing about your fear of flies. I will probably be one of those moms that has those disenfectant wipes stationed right at the door and everyone has to clean their hands before they get near my child. :) Sorry about having to go back to work soon. I am unfortunately only going to be able to take off 6-8 weeks max because of the type of job I have and with my husband being in school full time right now, we really need my income. Thankfully my husband graduates right before the baby comes, so getting him back in the work force will be great!

Patie - We have not met, so hello! Sounds like you have been around longer than I have! Good luck as you begin your next IVF journey! :D

Ok all, I am off to get some work done. I will let you know hwo the scan goes!

All right. First of all, I must apologize for the bevy of posts last night. I was getting an error when i went to submit, so it appeared that they weren't posting. Obviously, they were  . Anyone else having the same problem?

Meg: I'm so sorry to hear about your cousin. And he left two young children. That is quite the tragedy. Glad to hear Lucy cooperated... and hoping that her 8 hour nights have continued!

Tina: good luck with your scan this afternoon. And by the way... the whole scamming-a-scan-a-week is a move that makes the sisterhood proud

Feeling very zen this morning. Since they didn't need me at work today (and I took tomorrow and friday off...) I think I will do some housecleaning this morning, go to a movie by myself this afternoon (which I love to do), and give myself a pedicure (shiny blue, of course  ).

Have a good one!

Another update...

Transfer has been delayed until tomorrow. We have multiple embryos that are compacting (for which I am VERY, VERY grateful!), but none to blast yet. I guess with the 2pn thaws it isn't uncommon for them to be about 12 hours behind in development.

So tomorrow it is...

I am collecting movies, tv shows (because *gasp* since bedrest will be over the weekend... I will not have daytime tv as distraction :-) ) a stack of books and my favorite foods.

Hope you are all well!

Hey girls-

Just wanted to wish Sassy good luck tomorrow!! :D Glad to hear the big thaw is doing well. Let us know how everything goes and try not to get too bored on bedrest! I know it can be a bummer.

Meg- I'm sorry to hear about your cousin. I am keeping your family in my prayers.

As for me- I'm still pregnant. I don't think she is ever coming out. I am going to play Bunco tonight and I will not be sitting down to play. I plan on standing the whole night. I will not sit until she is out...or I get the epidural. I hear it is hard to walk with those!

Later!
Jenn

Hellooo Ladies,

sorry Mego for your loss it is even more tragic that your cousin had two young children. I know I have developed quite the paranoia about dying young(ish) and leaving Nogs without a Mum. Bloody cars I reckon they are more trouble than they are worth. Glad to hear Lucy is sleeping like a champ. Nogs is also oblIging and sometimes I get a full nights sleep, amazing. Of course i wake up thinking that he has died because he is so quiet.

Sass so pleased to hear that the thaw is going well. I have being trying to check in but my phone line was struck by lightening so had to wait....Please keep up the zen and please give us an update on transfer...if you have multiple blasts will you transfer all of them???

Angie so happy that wombat is progressing well, as to the sex, I think he is a boy and yes I am a gypsy too. How are you feeling??? Any better??? As far as Wombat's looks go, I was quite worried about Nogs after a couple of scans, spent a whole weekend looking up "facial deformities on fetuses as seen on ultrasound" on google... As it turns out Nogs is incredibly good looking...so don't worry...

Tina, you and me are cut from the same cloth. Everytime some one touches Nogs I wonder when they last washed their hands and whether they did a good job of it. I think I'm going crazy for sure...How did we go on the nuchal... and good work on the weekly scanning...

Jenn, you will need to wait a bit longer for Anna she will be here on the 11th. As indicated above I am a gypsy so you can take that as gospel.

Patie, if someone is bullying you I will be right over and sort her out. No one picks on a sista and gets away with the bridge of their nose in tact, no-one..

Robbo, what is happening in the world of Teacherdom??? Speaking of teachers, wonder how Amy is doing??

And Vicky??? And Mel???

I had some great news today, am allowed to work part time, two days in teh office and two days from home!! Yipee!! Am so lucky, and the best thing is I can be in sweat pants 5 days out of seven, heaven...

GOOD LUCK FOR TOMORROW SASSY!!!

Sassy - just wishing you good luck today!!! I know everything will go wonderful and then you can just be "chillin like a villian" all weekend....sorry about the chillin' part....I think I have been listening to too much rap music lately. :) But seriously - GOOD LUCK!

Jenn - I know the baby is coming today as that is what I predicted, so if we don't hear from you, then we certainly know why. :) I know Fee says she is a gypsy and therefore predicted the 11th, however I am a psychic and if you need further readings, please call my toll free line at 1-866-YUR-LIFE. I will assist you in any way I can. :)

Fee - So glad Nogs is behaving and that you get to work part-time!!! I am a VP of Sales at an insurance company and therefore have some wonderful benefits and some terrible issues, too. I get to work from home almost as much as I want which is great, but unfortunately have to travel more than I would like. On top of that, most of our sales are made in the months of July-Sept for January business....and yep, my due date is right in the middle of that - August 21st. Therefore, I am very concerned about taking much time off when the baby is born because I make most of my money during that time that has to carry me through a large portion of the year. My husband has been a FT student for the last year and graduates in July, so hopefully once we get him back into the workforce, it will take off some of the pressure. Oh well, I have a wonderful boss who is also a good friend and has 2 kids of his own, so I am sure I will figure something out that makes sense for everyone. It just probably means the most I will take off is 6-8 weeks for maternity leave. Oh well, the holidays are really slow in this business, so I figure I would take off the Thanksgiving holidays and all of Christmas to spend with the baby. Such is life!

As for my last appt at the clinic - it was a bit sad! They have just been through so much with us. However, it was nice to "graduate" from there and they said all looked great. I stopped my PIO shots FINALLY!!!!! YEAH!!!! The baby has a heartbeat now of 167 and they did an extra long ultrasound for us and put it on a DVD which was really nice. I did find out one particularly embarassing thing while I was there. You know the fetal doppler machine I was bragging about....well, come to find out, I wasn't listening to the baby's heartbeat after all. It was one of my one blood vessels or whatever. I couldn't figure out why it was measuring so much lower than what the baby's heartbeat is showing at the clinic when they do an ultrasound. The ultrasound tech showed me what I had been listening to and we all got a good laugh. Of course, I felt like a bit of a dumb a--, but oh well! It kept my sanity for those couple of weeks between scans!!! I think I need to return that thing...

I had my nuchal scan yesterday and that was such a joy. The doctor looks at me and says, "Well, you are old. Your eggs are old." It sure does make a woman feel great!! I esp liked when he explained how my husband's sperm is not the issue as it reproduces constantly but my eggs are my eggs and that is all I have and they are OLD. I left there feeling like a real champ. We find out next week the results....

Ok ladies, have a great weekend!!! Good luck Sassy!!!!

So transfer was yesterday afternoon.

We had 4 blasts of varying quality. One Grade 1 and the rest were Grade 2. We ended up transferring all four since it appeared that at least one of the blasts that was of poorer quality would probably not be of sufficient quality to freeze. So instead of transferring 3 which was the initial plan (assuming we had 3 to transfer), we threw the last one in with the bunch.

I am now on princess duty and dh is waiting on me hand and foot (exactly as it should be  ).
Beta is 2/18.

Ciao!

Sassy - I am so happy for you and I just know this is going to work. I will be praying for you and just think positive. I loved reading the book "The Secret" while I was on the 2ww as it helped me to stay positive. My psychic abilities tell me twins are on the way....

:) :) :)
