Hi all

Wow! Every time I check this board there is another BFP! thats so awesome.

I got my embryo update today: of the 6 that fertilized all 6 are still growing. I have to go in tomorrow for ET! Rio- can you change that on the list? Not the 14th, the 12th. I find out tomorrow all the grades etc..., so then we have to decide how many to put back! I think the order of best situation to worst situation for us is 1) BFP 1 baby, 2) BFP 2 babies, 3) BFN. So, I think I am going to vote for 2 if they are a good grade. What do you all think?

Also, is face flushing and chills a side effect of the PIO? My face has been red all day, my hands are cold. No abdominal pain really, mild headache, temps normal. Wondering if this is infection from ER or PIO side effect?

Marin- that's a great fert report. Keep us posted on their progress. GROW EMBIES, GROW!!!!

Sage- try not and feel bad. You know what we all say here, "it only takes one". Hell, you have 6 to work with. Chin up. Those embies need a mommy in tip top shape. :D

dawn- I hope you are feeling okay. I will keep you in my prayers. NO OHSS!!!!

Lovebug- don't get discouraged. You may go tomorrow and find that all of a sudden you are responding better. Maybe you are just a slow starter.

Bat- well, looks like it's our turn tomorrow. How are you feeling. I'm nervous as hell!

Rio- have you gotten any word from your RE about how you are feeling? Is RE going to see you?

Weezie- thanks for asking, I feel a little better today and was reading on some other posts about swelling, I am also weighing myself in the morning and night and if water weight is more than 3 lbs I will demand he sees me! :D it was 2lbs last night and 1 inch, my waist went all the way up by 8 inches!
Tammy- I am supposed to graduate at 8 weeks to OB, after my second u/s. I want to make an appt with my regular OB to go see him since I want to do the Nuchal test and you have to do that between 11 and 14 weeks. So as soon as I get out of my u/s on 2/19 I am calling my OB. I want to wait for that u/s first though... in case of multiples.
Marin- we were going to do 3 but then we had a 5 cell one and decided that instead of freezing we wanted him/her too. So we put 4 in, I wanted to be aggressive and my RE said his wife put 4 in and had 1 child. I know there is always a risk of multiples... depends on their grade and cell numbers. great fert report!

1st IVF cycle, had tubes tied years ago and shouldn't have

Post by xtressa »

Anyone else out there in the same boat?

I had my tubes tied 11.5 years ago. My current husband also had a Vasectomy 15 years ago. I guess we decided too young.

I am 37, overweight unfortunately 5'6 and 204 lbs. My follicles were ready today after a long time of stim drugs. They counted 11 over size 16 and said there were more but not as visible.

My retrieval is 13 of Feb and tenatively I am scheduled for embro placement on 16 of Feb. I'm nervous because of my age and weight but I'm not getting any younger and I have lost a lot of weight in the last year getting ready for this.

This website and forum is awesome and so informative. I had no idea there were so many people doing IVF and the communication is great. Would love to hear from some of you.

Thanks and good luck!

Tressa :D

(((((((((((You girls are fantastic)))))))))))))). <group hug

I've only been here a short while and I feel like Ive been part of the family since I began this journey in 2003.

TammyS - I have hypertension I'm being monitored very closely by my primary physician. I have a blood pressure monitor which I use everyday.
I was also advised that I would be released to my ob/gyn within the next 2 weeks. I'm now 5 weeks. My ob/gyn does handle high risk patients. Are you in the chicago area?

I had my second beta today 1065. Can someone please tell me why do we have to wait ALL FREAKING DAY FOR A CALL BACK. < I had to get that off my chest.

We've just got back from the Beta test - it was 81 but I'm currently 21dp3dt so it's not looking especially good. Have another blood test on friday.

Does anyone know of beta's that low for a 21dp3dt but still worked out ok?

JCW: Keep the PMA. Sometimes betas are just a little lower and mean nothing. I am sure you will be just fine. I am praying for you.

Donna: ER Wednesday! Yayyy! You will be BFP soon! Way to keep the PMA! I am sooo excited for you and just know it is gonna work. I am praying for ya. Are you with Nash or Goldfarb? Sorry I forget.

Mia: You are too funny! Wtg being strong.

xtressa: Welcome! I agree with Mia...not sure where I would be right now without this board. It is great!!! Wtg on losing weight!

Rio: I would demand to be seen. How are you feeling today?

Bat: Today is your day! I am soo excited for you ....be sure to post right away. I am on the edge of my seat. LOL

Marin and EMS: Good Luck today on ET! Yayyy for PUPO's!!!

Sage: How are you feeling now?

Love: There were many girls with slow starters and then BAM...all of a sudden they just catch up. You will be fine.

Wish: I am thinking that I should start with a regular OB/GYN and then let him send me to high risk if he feels that I need it. I am in Akron Ohio. What do you think? Should I find a practice that has both? On call backs....it sucks for sure.

Dawn: How are you feeling? When is ER?

Weezie: Good Luck today!

Hi Everyone,

Mia- I can't believe how strong you are! I know I would have POAS by now!

JCW- Don't lose hope yet, everyone is different.

xtressa- It sounds like you are making great efforts to be more healthy, that is all any of us can do! Good luck!

I am still waiting for the embryologist to call...she was supposed to call between 8 & 9 and it is 9:15 now! I will wait until 10 before I call. My dogs are dying for a walk!

I feel a lot better today, just crampy.

Well I just heard from a nurse and they fertilized 3 eggs, and I will be going on Thursday for a 3 day transfer. I am trying to be optimistic, but feel disappointed and scared. What if they don't all make it to Thursday? Is that likely? I asked her the grade of the embryos and she didn't have that info. She said that I could call the lab later in the afternoon. Do you guys think that I should?? Otherwise I wait until Thursday to find out...Oh and what is the earliest any of you POAS and got a +??

Hi Ladies! I have missed you all! :)

CONGRATULATIONS to all the new ladies with BFPs since I have been away! Glad to see so many BFPs on this board, warms the heart!

I have been really sick. I have a string of the flu that has been just awful. In bed for the last 4 days straight, with a fever 3 days, and unable to do anything to help! The Dr. just says, its the flu and you just have to let it run its course. Going on day 8 today, came back to work, but I look, feel, and sound awful still! SOOO much sinus pressure! :x :x :x

While suffering through the plague/flu I did have two more beta tests! So here are my stats:

1st beta: 14dpt 973!
2nd beta: 16 dpt 1988!
3rd beta: 19 dpt 6525!

My RE thinks it could be mulitples, but you never know for sure until you do an u/s, so she scheduled my first u/s this Friday 2/15!! We won't be able to see heartbeat(s) or anything but they are trying to see how many gestational sacks they see. I will update you all then.

Congratulations again to all the BFPs! And stay strong to those women stimming and waiting! Baby wishes for all of you.

Katie: Sorry to hear about your hospital stay but am glad to hear you are doing better now.

Tammy: Sorry to hear about your Aunt, glad she is home now too.

Sorry so short, still feeling really crappy! :x  :x
