Hi girls!!! MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!!! Yes i'm still here in the hospital and will be 30 weeks this weekend. So we are very optimistic and hope everything will go well for our sweet peas.... The ultrasounds look encouraging but no one can predict how colt's lungs will be so please keep praying !

brandi.. your right this bedrest is for the birds lol! i'm glad your hanging in there. I'm glad for all of us!!!! Sher i'm sorry about your ER trip... that could NOT have been fun. Jen how are you doing???? anna i had thought about doing the cord blood banking but after all this i never got the chance and now i'm pretty sure I wont worry about it. To much to think about and decide already. Although if you can afford it I think its an excellent idea. I think that cord blood registry is one of the best. www.cordblood.com

Hi guys!!! It sounds like everyone is doing pretty well. Dixie and Brandi- hang in there- you're both getting close!! I hope everyone had a nice Christmas/holiday. Things are going very well over here. I am starting to get really excited about bringing this baby home. We went to DC for Christmas and my MIL and SILs took me to the Four Seasons for tea and gave us our stroller, video monitor, and Pack and Play- sooooo fun!! The nursery is complete, now we are just waiting for her to finish cooking- she moves almost constantly, although my husband has yet to feel her movements. Have any of your husbands felt the baby? I can see my stomach move when she's really active, but it's just not quite strong enough to be felt on the outside. We are naming her Lily- my DH came up with that name. We wanted something old fashioned and English/Irish, so Lily it is. I hope the next 11 weeks go by FAST!! My children (I'm a teacher) return next Monday- sort of dreading having to go back to work, but hopefully it will make the time pass quicker. The good news is that I'll have five full months off before I have to go back to school in the fall. I only work 22 hours a week anyway, so I should stop complaining.
Well, everyone, keep me updated and good luck to us all in this home stretch.

Hi Ladies
I hope everyone had a lovely christmas and a great new year, it all went by far too fast as usual but here we are finally in 2008!!!
Well heres my update,
Im feeling really well..coming upto 30 weeks..cant believe it!
Had my last scan on christmas eve and both babies are doing really well, they both weigh a little over 2 1/2 pounds each which at 28 weeks which i was then is really good.
Im having little sleep at the moment as they seem to like to party in my tummy all night...the other night they actually woke dh up as he could feel them kicking his back!!!
i think there preparing us for all the sleepless nights we have to come! :D
we have also just finished buying everything for them, there room is ready and im just waiting for the phil&teds pram to arrive...apparently about 3 weeks time, so everything is really exciting.

So how is everyone else....do you all believe were having babies this year!!

Hey girls! I hope everyone had a great Christmas and New Year's. Yes I am still here in the hospital.. the babies on ultrasound have passed 3 pounds at 30 weeks and a few days and now I am almost 32 weeks. They have scheduled me for a c section at 34 weeks on jan 18th! Colt continues to show very little fluid on th scans but we do see him practice breathing still and he is growing just as fast as his sis so we are very hopeful that things will be okay for him. They will have to stay in the nicu for a while obviously but the doctor said the risk of leaving them in any longer is just not worth the benefits. so whew! almost there! I have to admit i'm scared, but i'm ready. It is time for us to know what is going to happen so we can get our lives back and be a family again. my daughter has had to deal with so much but still has wonderful grades and has shown a strength and courage that i can only envy. I'm very proud of her. Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers!

Dixigal -
Best of luck to you this week and I hope all goes smooth for you and your little ones. Hang in there, not too much longer. Glad to hear you made it through the holidays ok.

For those of you in the final stretch -
My back is really starting to be sore as my ligaments start to loosen. My belly protrudes and I wonder just how much bigger it is going to get?!? I still feel the baby move around, but can tell that it is running out of jumping room. More like rolls now.

Not too much longer.

Hi all
Just a quick one, had my 32 week scan yesterday, both babies are at the 4lb weight which is really good and growing well.
They are both still lying transverse which will mean a c section if they dont move down...not sure if im happy bout this or not as the thought of giving birth to 2 babies scares the life out of me!!!

Dixie.... how are you doing? think were all waiting for news from you!, were all thinking of you xx

Hows everyone else doing?

Hey everyone,
Things are going well over here, except I'm having some really terrible pelvic pain. I am having an ultrasound next week to see if my pelvis is separating more than it should. It's called Syphisis Pubis Dysfunction and there's nothing that can be done about it, but BOY it hurts!!!! When I rollover in bed at night or get out of bed to pee, which I'm having to do about 5-6 times per night, I hear a popping/grinding noise and have excruciating pain. It also hurts to walk, so I am waddling as if I'm nine months pregnant with triplets!! I am still so grateful that everything is going great with this baby, so I hate to complain, but I'll be ready for her to be born soon!
How's everyone else? Dixie- we haven't heard from you- hope everything is okay!!!

Hi everyone!

Everything going well so far....Had my shower this past weekend and got some really nice baby gifts. It's becoming so real now. Just have to wash everything and set up the nursery furniture and just wait for this little girl who's been kicking me like crazy... I'm still working full time and still have long hours (I'm in the heart surgery field) and I don't know how long I could hold out. I'm planning to go till the end just so I could get more time off after the baby's born.

Brandi, I'm so happy you're off bedrest now! Take it easy but enjoy the extra freedom.

Dixiegal, I just checked out your myspace page and saw you had your twins. (Hope that's ok) They are so adorable and beautiful. Congrats to you and your dh. Hope to hear from you soon!

Everyone else, we are almost there!!!! Keep in touch!

Hello my dear fiends, i just got back from my 36th week (9th month) checkup and things are good. They checked me today and im stil the same 1cm and 60% effaced, dominicks head can be felt hes pretty low, ive still had contractions really strong on and off but not quite strong enough to do much just yet, my doc has decided that at my apt next week they will start stripping my membranes and really start to try and get labor started so hopefully and just maybe if it works on the first try by the end of next week we will have a baby!!! and if by the chance at my 38th week apt we still have no baby we will try the same thing one more time by stripping the membranes and if worse case scenario we get to 39wks we will just get the show on the road!!! but considering my cervix is ripe we may not have that problem, i sure hope not i want to meet my son already!!! other than that things are great, im healthy hes healthy and we are getting ready for the babyshower on sat and i cant wait!!!!!!!!! i just wanted to give you guys am update and there soon will be baby!!!!!!!!! love you all hope all is well!! until next week my friends.

Glad to hear all is going well for you Brandi. Looking forward to your next update. It won't be long now. Personally, I am ready to have this baby. Our shower is on Saturday also. Since it is a second baby, we are having a Dipes & Wipes party. Can't have too much of those! My next OB appt is Tuesday and I will be 36 weeks. Could time move any slower at this point?

Take Care All,
