Wow! More BFPs. This is definitely a great message board group!
Weezie- so happy for you! Amazing!

So, my ET was supposed to be today but the Dr called this morning and said the lab said all 6 embies looked great (1 9 cell, 3 8 cell, 1 7 cell and 1 5 cell) and that they recommend to wait til thursday to do a 5 d transfer at the blastocyst stage. I dont really get the whole reasoning. I guess 5 day embies have a better chance of implantation? They said the risk was that they all stop growing by then and then we dont get to do any ET. But he said if they are not good and wont grow past this stage in the incubator, they probably werent going to get us preg either. So, in my head it boiled down to.... would I rather know Thursday that these embies are not going to work or would I rather put some back today and wait the agonizing 2 weeks to know that they arent going to work? I decided on instant gratification- ET on Thursday if they are blastocysts!

Sorry Rio, can you change me back to Thursday for ET ? Valentines Baby hopefully!

so pleased for everyone that's got good results.

In reply to Mia - I didn't have a first beta as such as my clinic do urine tests first. Mine was at 18dp3dt and was quite faint. The nurse wasn't sure (even though she told most of the clinic that I was pregnant) and told us to come in for a blood test in 3 days time which we did. Once the nurses had discussed our case in reception (fortunatley no one else was there) they eventually came over to tell us it's not what they were expecting so I would have to come back for another beta.

Sorry, but I'm really p***ed off at them at the moment to making it such a farce - the 'oh I'm not sure' urine test, telling everyone except us that we were pregnant, the complete lack of sensitivity. I've had this before (postive urine test then lost it) so thought if they were in charge it would be slightly easier. Once we have used the other 12 embryos we have frozen we will be changing clinics (of course if we need to).

Now, this morning I've woken up with cramps so I'm not exactly in the best mood.

jcw: So sorry hun! Try and stay positive till that next beta. I mean you could have implanted late, right and that would be why it isn't as strong!! I would be upset too! Ignore the cramps - think positive thoughts!! Come on we are still all pulling for you!!!

Marin: 5day is good for the exact reasons you mentioned - YOu just know more the chances of your BFP! So glad you can make it to the 5day transfer!! a couple more days!! :0)

Batty: WOOO-HOOO!!!!! What is so tempting is that all of you girls got bfps on hpt!! But no, I will resist a bit longer!! CONGRATS !!!!!!!!!

Rio: You got it Rio - Come Thursday we will have an official OCT 08 Bump buddies thread!

I am peeeing like crazy today and trying to see this as a good sign!! and my stomache is bloated a bit more - esp in the eveings. Ohh not much longer now...

Thanks Mia - am trying not to be so negative (I also thought about the implanting late), failing miserably at the moment!

Me So DH called the RE and nurse for me cause in the middle of the work day I had to go lie down in the back of my car. My tummy is swollen up high which makes it hard to breathe. He called and explained everything and the RE said "has she been on the internet?" and said that it is impossible that I would have any symptom of OHSS because my estradiol on trigger day was 1750 and OHSS only happens with really high numbers. Well, I did read on the internet of girls who had OHSS symptoms even though they did not have a ton of follies, I don't believe they were lying  . So RE said that my 5 month belly (at 5 weeks!!)is normal due to being pregnant (I sure hope it wasn't an elephant embie they put in there! ). Well I have been preggers before (m/c at 9 weeks, natural) and my tummy was real small and no bloating or anything like this, so I guess it is the PIO and the estrogen and the Crinone gel, yickes! I am glad DH called though...

Rio- I got the hug and I sent you an email. I'm stunned that he won't even let you drop in for a short visit. Here's what my nurse told me because I was very concerned about OHSS. Remember my E2 was 4842 when I triggered....She said they were not too concerned about OHSS because of my size. I'm 5'7 and weigh 150. She told me that most of the OHSS cases they see were in women who were petite with extremly high E2 numbers. That's when I knew I didn't have to worry.

I too am having trouble with just getting comfortable when sitting. I find kicking back or lying down eases the tightness. And it's right under my ribcage too. Take it easy and try not to over do anything.

WEEZIE: WHOOOHOOOOO!!! YAY! We will have our twins together!! When is your ultrasound? MIne is Monday and I can hardly wait!!! (Hopefully not more than twins haha). *HUG*

This is a lucky board with all these BFP!!!

I tested 12 DPtrigger shot and it showed positive so use your own judgement Mia.

As for me...is this normal? I just feel so tight in my uterus, sometimes I get pains/cramps. I just dont want to lose the baby now! Still getting tired easily. No sickness yet and still no appetite really.

I did not post last night cause I went to bed so early but I need to check this thing 3 times a day just to keep up with you girls!

Congrats to all BFP and I am sure that there are many more to come! To others who just joined, WELCOME! This is a great group of girls. Sorry this is short and not too many personals but I am heading off to bed....I will catch up with you later!!

Well girls, hold on to your seats. I took a HPT test a couple of minutes ago and it was a big fat positive++++++++++++++++++++. I've been reading message boards and it seems that the HCG trigger should be gone because I only triggered with 5000. What do you all think? Sorry Mia, I couldn't wait any longer!

Hi everyone.

I've been reading all the posts but haven't posted much. I find this site really helpful.

I had my ER yesterday. It wasn't bad at all. There is some cramping. I had 14 follicles and they found 16 eggs. I got a phone call this morning that 3 of the eggs were too young to fertilize, but the remaining 13 all fertilized!

I will have the ET done on thursday (Valentine's day!).

OH my gosh, so much to catch up on!!

I have to say that today was the longest day of my life!! I read about how torturous the 2ww is, but no one said anything about the 6 hour wait for the call from the nurse to find out if you're BFP!!! I was on pins and needles all day!!! I called the doctor's office like 6 times and they finally talked to me and when she said "congratulations" i was soooooo happy and relieved that this crazy wait is over!!

Congrats on all the other BFPs!!! This board is so lucky!!

Are you all having cramps?? I am! And today I am having bad back pains.
They said I'm considered 4 weeks pregnant but I had my ER end of Jan. Do they count the weeks from the day of ovulation???

Mia - I"d wait on the HPT. I did it on sat, and it just screwed everything up b/c i was sure it was negative, and then when i saw that little line later on, I was back to square one, guessing whether or not i was pregnant. i wanted to take another test a few days later but DH convinced me not to and I am so happy I didn't do it anymoe! You've done so good up until now! Just wait :) :) 1 more day!
Oh, and i'm peeing like crazy too!

Kildean - congrats!!

aims: Glad ER went well! Lots of follies - that's great!

kimbers: I did Lupron and BCP in the evening. I know Lupron is in the evening for sure, but I think BCP you can take anytime as long as it's same time each day

rio: i'd go back to your doctor too! Quads would be interesting :)
