Hoekey do you feel different in the early stages of pregnancy doing IVF than you did naturaly? I got preggers naturally (ex husband) but m/c at 9weeks) and it felt completely different than it does now. I am so huge and bloated this time when I didn't feel anything the first time. I hope you enjoy your sub - it sounds yummy about now! I hope we all get to see great little heartbeats! I can't wait! Sorry you didn't feel good earlier today
I am just so excited for all of us! Come on 2/19! Get here quick!

Is everyone else as nervous as I am?? :?

I've been through multiple cycles of IVF -- 11 failed transfers and about 30 lost embryos.

This time I had my transfer on Janury 29 and my HCG on day 10 was 1485 and yesterday at day 13 was over 5000. My RE did an u/s and both embryos implanted.

After so much heartbreak and disappointment I can't really get excited until I'm past the danger zone, which he told me was 10 weeks. I'm not going back until the 19th for the next u/s and bloodwork and I'm totally nervous!

I don't feel anything -- not different at all. I want to be excited but I don't want to jinx anything.

And I'll end how I should have started with a big hello to all you folks going through the same thing!

EmKay- Welcome. Those numbers are great and congrats on the twins!! Just sit back and relax. I can understand your concerns but don't let it suck the joy out of this. My mom told me yesterday that I didn't need to worry until I had something to worry about.

Rio- This pg is completely different than my previous 3 of which 2 did not make it. I had my dd at 18 and I don't even remember anything but the nausea. I didn't look pg till I was like 6 months. This time I already look 3 months. My stomach has been so bloated, I only have like 2 pairs of pants that I can fit into. I work in suits or business attire so this has become quite a problem.

Hoekey-My u/s is scheduled for 2/28. I will be over 7 weeks by that time. I don't know why they are making me wait so long.

To everyone else, I hope you have a wonderful day....I slept so good last night and from now on, I am just going to enjoy this gift and do what my mom said....don't worry unless I have something to worry about...

Good Morning,

There is another thread that was started called Oct Mommies to Be Club - I propose that we move to that one since we are all going to have long heathly pregnancies and in a month from now we might not want to be posting on the 'But...' thread. I completely understand the cautious optimism but I think we need to use our PMA and assume that all of our pregnancies will be wonderful!!!

Cinci - my u/s is on the 27th which will be 7 weeks for me, so we are going to be the second wave of u/s on this board! I am glad that I have a u/s buddy!

EmKay - Welcome and congrats on your twins! How exciting that you already know! Enjoy this time and don't let negative thoughts ruin the joy of being pregnant especially after the big journey to get here!

Hoekey - sounds like you had a rough go yesterday morning but hey that is a good sign!!! Hope that your sub was all you were hoping it would be!

I was so laid back about everything earlier this week but now I want my beta on Friday to be here so that I can have some reassurance that everything is moving along okay.

Have a fantastic day and hopefully we can try to move our 'chat' over to the Mommies to Be Club Thread!!!

Hi Kelly-

I can't do it! I won't even refill my meds until the day before I'm going to run out. I'm not a superstitious person, but I just can't help it this time. I know it's silly.

March 22 is my "safe" day at which my risk of loss goes down to less than 3%. That's when I'll stop all this silliness! 38 more days to go.

:D Good afternoon girls!!! :D Hope everyone is feeling well. My sub was FANTASTIC, hee hee. Isn't that pretty wierd that I get excited about a sub sandwich??

Emkay: Welcome and CONGRATULATIONS!!!! Try not to worry too much. I know that after such a long journey for you that it is easier said than done. :D But I am sooo excited for you :D .

Riogirl: You know I actually do feel different. Of course it has been over 12 years. I also weigh about 50 lbs more than I did back then. I was actually considered underweight at the beginning of both my pregnancies. Now I am on the verge of being overweight. Age does tend to catch up to us and our metabolisms I guess. But I digress. I showed very early with both pregnancies, nowhere for those little fetuses to go but out. So I felt a little hard bump early on. Now I am a bit squishy so I keep pressing my tummy against the counter, and DH when cuddling trying to feel something  . They say that each pregnancy gets easier, MS is less, ect... But, with my first I had very little MS at all, very few syptoms. The second one, I threw up once a day almost everyday during the first trimester. After that I was fine for the rest of the day typically. I had horrible headaches with both, but have none so far with this one. I eat better now, so that may have something to do with it, I tended to let my sugar get low back then. I am down to 2 pairs of pants that fit me too, but I wear them right below the belly button, and they make me nauseous there. They really aren't much tighter. I haven't gained any weight yet. So I have two pairs that ride a little higher that are more comfortable, and I live in my PJs when at home. I really wish this was more like my previous pregnancies, then I would feel more confident when the U/S rolls around. But I think because I am older and heavier that things are different. I mean my body has changed so much in 12 years, I guess it would react differently. The peeing a lot is the same  .

Kellym: I am doing much better today. Slept terrible but felt rested nonetheless when I got up, no nausea. I see a holistic Dr. for some health issues and he has prescribed Iodine for me. (I have a couple very small tumors on my thyroid) He had me cut back from four a day to one a day, (my thyroid swelling had gone down by 80%). He also said that it was perfectly safe to take four if necessary, he said if I felt really nauseous to go back to four so yesterday I did. Today I feel great. Don't think I will be going back to one for a while  .

P.S. I'll stick with you here on this post until we hit that 10 week mark too :) .

Hope you girls are having a GREAT day!! Better get back to work.

Good morning!

I hope everyone is doing well today.

I guess most people aren't having too many symptoms yet, but I have been having nausea on and off for two weeks. The last few days it has been much worse, although I haven't actually thrown up...yet. I also get some stretchy cramps from time to time. They always make me worry but my doctor assures me that they are very normal. Oh, and this morning when I woke up it was like my breasts had doubled their size. I am really wondering who they belong to!!!! Yikes! I am feeling a little moody/crabby all of a sudden too. I guess that is from all the meds. Anyone else having symptoms?

Counting down the days until my u/s! I think we will begin telling people after we see the heartbeat. I want to wait until after week 10 when I go off the meds, but I know I won't be able to last that long....

Have a great day!

Happy Wednesday Bumpies,

Hope everyone is feeling good and positive!

Nothing really new to report-the only symptoms I've had to date are a sore back and neck here and there and the sore bbs. After i got out of the shower this morning I noticed that my areolas were the size of tea saucers. HUGE. sorry if that was too in your face for information. They have since gone back to the normal size. Not sure what that means but it was interesting. I showed hubby of course and he said those were the widest eyes he'd ever seen. I had a job interview so I had to put on some work dress clothes and although they still fit-I was definately feeling the squeeze. Yesterday i got back to the gym for some exercising(with my RE's approval of course). Felt great-its been a couple of weeks. Walked on the treadmill for a half hour and did the eliptical for 20 minutes-very low intensity barely broke a sweat and oh boy did it make my body feel better. Its amazing what exercise can do. Does anyone also constantly feel hungry? like every couple of hours I want to eat.

Well I think the best thing to get through to this first u/s is to stay as busy as possible and 2/19 will be here and I will realize I was irrational in my thinking for nothing. I also did see the new thread for the Oct bumps and I will definately gravitate over there after i'm past the 10 weeks also. I'm from Boston so I'm slighty superstitious.....

Anyways, I wish you all a great evening and an even better THURSDAY. Oh by the way, what are some of you giving hubbys for presents? just curious.

Happy Valentines Day everyone!

I needed to schedule my cleaning today and the girl was really pressing me about my overdue yearly exam and x-rays. She was so insistent, even after I made it clear that I didn't want x-rays, that I finally told her I was pregnant.

I so didn't want to tell anyone! I can't wait for my next HCG on Monday and the U/S on Tuesday! This is stessful.

When is everyone else getting their next tests? Anybody today or tomorrow?
