Beth ~ Hey there lady. I have had lower quality embies every time or they've lost some of their "rating" because of losing cells. The RE said that the best place for them is back inside me. It does only take one, I am thinking of you.

Ems ~ Good luck today! We are all thinking of you. Rest and give us an update when you can.

Everyone else....how is everyone doing? It has been pretty quiet here lately?

Well...... I actually do have some news. I am cautiously excited. I got a faint BFP this morning on a FRER. My DH is going to get me a digital, but I might wait to take it until later or tomorrow. I am 5 days past a 4 day transfer - so technically 9dpo. I have NEVER had a positive this early so I am hoping that is a good sign and not another chemical. I will keep you all updated!

Lots of love and sticky baby dust!

Wow, Donnell, that is hopeful!

I hope it has good positive results for you this time. When do you test at the RE's?
I don't blame you for being cautiously optimistic -- you have really been thru a lot!
You are in my prayers, hun.

ok, ignorant question time  ...when you say you are 5 days past a 4 day transfer...does that mean your embies were frozen on day 4?

and what does FRER stand for?

Ems --- Hopin' for the best!

What up girls!!! My digital test came back PREGNANT!!! I am so excited. Now please, please pray for me that this isn't another chemical. I am so scared and my beta isn't until Monday the 18th.

Beth ~ Thanks for your prayers. Yes, my embryos were frozen on day 4. My clinic is one of the few who do 4 day (morula) transfers instead of the usual 3 or 5. So - today I am 9dpo. YAY!

Oh and FRER is First Response Early Response.

MANY CONGRATS Baby or bust, wishing you a happy and healthy pg

Well I have bad news, my worst nightmare happened and none of my 2 frosties were good to go back in. Both survived the thaw but did not develop over night so et was cancelled. We are going to carry on but not until after May as we have a big family holiday in Spain. We are going to look forward to that and start again in the summer.

To everyone else, good luck on et and I truly hope you all get your BFP's and healthy babies come October/ November

Ems -- sorry to hear your news. It sucks, doesn't it? I didn't realize your embies were thawed the day before? Mine were thawed that morning I went in. At least you can take some time off, relax and go back at it nice and refreshed in May. Maybe I'll be joining you then!

Donnell!!! Wow! how exciting for you! It's NOT going to be a chemical this time! You deserve a healthy pregnancy this time!
I test on the 18th, too. I thought it was kind of early but the nurse rattled off some dates and numbers, so I was like OK! whatever! Mine were frozen on day 6...I don't mean to compare, but I am just trying to get all of this straight in my head! Since my transfer was the day after yours (I think?) does that mean I am 5 days past a 6 day transfer?? that makes it 11dpO?? How strange.
Anyway! You have awesome news! How do they know if it's a chemical? thru ultrasound? Not that it will be! My fingers are crossed for you!

How are things, Barbarella?? How are you feeling? How are the pins and needles!? :)

Chrysty and Faith -- how are things going?

Ems ~ I am so, so terribly sorry. That is the worst news and I know you were worried about that happening. Please know we are thinking of you and hope that you keep us updated on your journey.

Beth ~ That's correct. You had the transfer the day after me, so if you had a 6 day blast transfer and you are 5 days past - that would technically be 11dpo. Have you taken a HPT? Will you be testing before the beta draw??? I have always tested before and typically don't get a positive before 12-13dpo. This time I just happened to get an early BFP.
As for knowing if it is a chemical pregnancy - what happens is they do the beta draws and if they don't double - they confirm a pregnancy was achieved, but miscarriage happens. So a chemical is an early M/C. One that is never seen on U/S.

Barbarella ~ Any updates? How are you doing? When is your beta?

Chrysty and Faith - how are both of you?

Hey Girlies!!!

Donnell- CONGRATS!!! I know you're being cautiously optimistic (I definetely know how that goes) so I'll just whisper congrats for you until you see those betas double!!! How are you feeling? If I remember right, you had to work the day after your transfer, so maybe it was better keeping your mind occupied!! Awsome!! :D :D :D

Ems79-I feel so bad for you, it's heartbreaking because we go through such a journey even before the ET, with all the meds, appts/etc. I wish you the very best when May comes around! Keep your chin up

beth-don't lose hope, you just never know how things will wind up happening!! There are a lot of people having success with lower quality embies! Good Luck!!

Barberella- GOOD LUCK tomorrow!!!! Let us know as soon as you know!!! Thank goodness that boil is gone!! I was feeling it all the way here in California, haha! just kidding, I hate those things!! You hope nobody sees them but you know that's all they are looking at!! Lots of luck to you!! :D

How's it going Chrysty?? Our FET's are coming soon!

As for me, tomorrow good ol' blood and ultrasound. Yuck, but it gives me a chance to go to the big city. It's quite the simple life where I live. Not even a traffic signal in town, lol. My FET is still scheduled for the 21st, but I'll know for sure tomorrow.
Talk to you all later!

FET FEB!

Post by Barbarella »

Hi Everybody

I had my blood test this morning and got a positive BUT the miserable nurse told me that my beta is low, 24 it is and it should be 50. I have to wait until monday for another test, she said it may not happen....I am happy just to get a positive!! Does anyone know if this is good sign or not?

Faith - Did it go ok for you today?

My acu lady has told me to have accupunture in the morning...so i will do that.

Hope everyone is taking it easy!!

Barbarella ~ Keep the faith lady!!! You are PG and lets just pray for doubling numbers. A lady from another board just got PG and her first number was 12 at I think 15dpo and she had a fresh transfer. I heard with frozen that the numbers are a little slower going. She implanted late and her next draw was a 49, then the next was 200 something. So don't worry so much about the first number and lets see what the 2nd number does.

I am thinking of you!

Everyone else - hello!

Faith, how'd it go today?

Chrysty ~ Any news?

Beth & Ems ~ Thinking of you both.

My tests are still getting darker. The wait for my beta on Monday is killing me. I had a breakdown this morning because my chi chi's weren't sore and my test was lighter - so I took two more in a 2 hour time frame until I got one dark enough to satisfy me. I think I am going crazy - UGHHH!!!

Hello ladies, just wanted to say hello and wish you all lots of support.
I had my ET on Wed and am now lying around doing nothing - I know the hospitals say you can carry on as normal but I just can't!

Was reading past posts and just wanted to let all of you know that might be green with envy that we get free IVF on the NHS - we don't! You may if you live in some counties but Hampshire NHS is rubbish! Apparently I am too young but my FSH is too high (stuffed either way!)
Hope it makes you feel a little better Barbarella, I think getting free treatment is an urban myth!

Wow I sound really bitter and twisted in the last post. Sorry about that - I just get really annoyed with it (and I work for the NHS!)

Need to think positive happy thoughts and wait for my blood test next friday. :)

Hi Everyone....

Barbarella! I didn't realize you were testing so soon! And it sounds like Monday is going to be a busy day for us! Don't give up! I hope your numbers improve! I'll keep my fingers crossed for you!

Donnell, how are you feeling??

Faith, how did your u/s go?

Hi kyw, no worries about sounding bitter. I have heard that about the free IVF. Too bad it's a myth! Good luck to you.

No news on my end....just wanted to pop in and say hello.
Have a great weekend!

oh, Donnell, I forgot. I am not going to POAS before the beta. I will just be patient and wait.......
and thank you for helping me understand the days past transfer stuff.

It's really amazing how all of this works, isn't it?

Hi girls ~

Beth~ Don't worry, I think I will POAS enough for all of us. My lines are getting darker. My line is almost as dark as the control line now and I am 8 days past 4 day transfer - 12dpo. So I am actually thinking this one might stick.

Kyw ~ Don't worry, it's tough when we do all of our communicating via written words because we never know how it might sound once we write something. Good luck!

Faith ~ Updates???

Barbarella ~ How are you holding up??? This wait until Monday is killin' me. Uggghhh!

Take care ladies!
