Hello Ladies,

I hope you don't mind I jump in now :) I've been quite active in the dec/jan thread...the ladies over there have been great and a wonderful support throughout this ordeal. To be honest I was not sure about joining another thread, but a couple of my buddies from there encouraged me to come over...so here I am!

I'll make sure to catch up with all of you in the next couple of days.

For now, I can tell you that I am a married graduate student trying to start a family. You can see it in my signature, but basically I had a miscarriage from a natural pregnancy about 1.5 years ago; later we found out that my tubes are not functioning as they should and the doctor thought best thing for us to do was IVF. I just went through my first fresh cycle in January...no luck. We are moving to FET now. I'm waiting for AF to come (should be here next week) to start meds, etc. I already have everything I need. My nurse said that transfer should be about 19 days after AF comes, so we are looking at mid March.

I look forward to getting to know all of you :)

Esperanze - WELCOME. Were all just playing the waiting game at the moment ,

rlk - thankyou for my birthday wishes :D ive been for a meal with DH Yummy.

neffi - Im from uk. And got hooked on the uk version. But they now broadcast american idol also. I like them best when all the naffy singers are trying out. I mean, whoever tells those people they can sing :? It really makes me laugh. It gets quite boring when the good singers start the contest though. So i give it a miss until they are down to the last 5 or 6 then decide who i think should win :)

Well i had my follow up at my clinic today and no one really knows how things went so wrong. They decided that because i was on such a high dose of DR it actually killed everything off (What a bummer) . But we did come up with a better plan for next time. Should i need one. Anyhow i came away feeling happy and enjoyed my birthday :D

Hi Esperanza,

Welcome! We were cycling at the same time in Dec/Jan. I hope we all get our BFP this time!

I'm doing a fresh cycle because the 5 frosties we have are not the best quality. Please let me know how FET compares to IVF.

Thanks and good luck!

Hey ladies

Rlk1-- Wow thats a crazy dream! But a good one...I have positive thoughts for this cycle...we are going to be like the jan/feb cycle! I love american idol...thats so funny about Ryan Seacrest! I hate how Randy Jackson acts like a thug! What up DAWG??? and the hand motions...he thinks hes like 21 or something! Paula seems a little better this year...last year, she was onso many meds she could barely function! :) Anyway...it didnt get good til the end! Okay well talk to you guys soon!

Hi all!

Dawn - so glad to hear of your little frostie fighter - I'm sure you've heard this a million times, but it only takes one good one so I'll be keeping my fingers crossed for you! I've never done an FET (never had embies last....), so haven't experienced it, but I've heard it's much easier than the full ivf cycle, so hopefully it will all go well for you!

Esperanza - welcome to the thread and best of luck for your FET! Isn't waiting for AF to arrive a drag - - it always seems like we're waiting for something in this process, hurry up and then wait!

rlk - great dream, just keep those positive thoughts - healthy eggs, good embies! I can't believe you're already about to start lupron.....you're right, before we know it we'll all be starting meds, stims, etc.

As for me, still waiting here for AF to arrive.....then start the bcp's. I don't know yet about how/if I'll be able to cycle in March, since DH's out of town in April. RE said to call when I start AF and they'll work out my calendar and see what's do-able. I'll be really bummed if I have to wait another month....Oh well, we'll see.

Take care and PMA, PMA ladies!

Hey girls--

ESPERANZA! So glad to see you here!!! :D :D

Everyone seems to be waiting for AF. My last BCP is on the 27th...hopefully AF will be better and not wait 8 days to come this time! I should start meds March 3rd. I am not doing Lupron this cycle...so alot less injections for me. Still doing Follitum though.

Dawn-- I hope your one little embie sticks! Oh...UK? do youguys have your own idol there? Is it the same? I have watched all seven seasons...the auditions are funny, but they are staged! There is no way all those people think they are good and get through to sing in front of the judges! Anyway... I love it!

Now that I've caught up.......

LOVE LOVE LOVE American Idol..don't mind Ryan but I agree with comments about Randy...what's up with that whole "YO YO YO" thing??? I'm from England but live in the US and I used to love to watch the UK version. Actually the last one I saw (I went back 2002 for 10 months) was when they were making a pop group and a bunch of girls made a song about the "sound of the underground" I think. It was quite catchy but I guess they must have been a one hit wonder??? I don't know, I came back to the US after that.

Looks like we are all pretty much just waiting. Don't you all just despise the waiting??!!

Welcome esperanza! Glad you joined us, the more the merrier!

Anie...welcome! Its great to see familiar names. I was gettign abit sad cause it looked like all the girls I cycled with last time had already moved on and cycled again so I'm really happy to cycle with you and Ann d!!!! THIS is our turn.

Nothing new here. Like everyone else, waiting for AF but not expecting her til about Feb 29th. BB's starting to feel tender right on cue, so not expecting any surprises.

Going to work on some more scrapbooking now.....(I know, its a bit geeky maybe)

Hugs to all!Image

nicaliw - The list is really helpful.
That group you were on about is girls aloud. (A bit young for me)
But they did really well, they're still going.

You still got simon cowell? Our version is called pop idol and its simon
cowell and sharon osborn. Always worth watching to see them
arguing.

Hows everyone doing Its so damn boring waiting isnt it. Im still
bloated from EC. Still taking pain killers. Cant wait to get back into
swimming and exersise. I gained so much weight with the drugs :(

Oh yeah! Girls aloud! ha ha...blast from the past. We still have Cowell with Randy jackson and Paula Abdul. They argue, too, but I think thats like a staged thing too to increase viewer numbers.

YEP the waiting is a pain in the a**......right there with ya!

Talk about weight gain.....my last/first cycle I gained a ton of weight. My belly was huge. Its no fun. I actually didn't mind when I go the bfp cause I new it would only get bigger but when I ahd the MC I knew if meant I was stuck with extra weight for no reason. Luckily it has started to drop off a bit, but not without some effort in watching what I eat and getting some excercise.

Still waiting

hello friends!

Thank you for the warm welcome!

Nicaliw--thank you for the list! it helps me get caught up with everyone else. :)

I can already tell this group is going to bring a lot of positive energy to my cycle. Speaking of fun...I love American Idol too!!!!! my brother and I are SO into it that we got my **against-pop-culture** dh into it! hahahaa. The other day I was in class until late so I missed that night's episode, and guess what? when I got home dh updated me on everything that had happened that night...I was like     you watched American Idol??? he was like "it's all your fault, I can't believe you got me into it"....LOL

Dawn--Sorry to hear you're still in pain, but it will be all worth it at the end when you're holding your precious one.

Ah, let's not even talk about extra weight right now 'cause this is how I feel some times:

Sending lots of love to everyone.

By the way, I'm starting my acupuncture treatment on Monday morning. I'm so excited! I love my acupuncturist, I used to get treated by her about a year ago, but then I stopped, so I am looking forward to going back.

Hi girls!

Nicaliw: So impressed with the list! Thanks so much for doing that! I don't know how to insert those fancy graphics (I'm technologically impaired!!).

Dawn31: Glad to hear you're prepared with a new plan next time. But...like you said you may not need it!! When is your FET scheduled (how long after AF)?

Neffi: Yes, yes, yes. I agree that our BFPs will be like those on the JAN/FEB thread....only better!! Oh, BTW, I should start stimming on March 3rd too (that's when my Lupron evalulation is---hoping they'll tell me I'm ready to start with Follistim and Menopur that night!).

Suzhan: Keep us posted with the timing of your IVF cycle--sending positive vibes that it is sooner (with us!) rather than later!!

Esperanza: Welcome! I see that you're a grad student too! We can commiserate (I'm feeling sorry for myself that I have to study right now  ) What are you studying?

Hi to everyone else too! I hope you're all having a nice weekend!

Well.. whats everyone doing for the weekend.
Im doing nothing. Nothing at all. Which suits me fine. I do enjoy doing nothing. Ill get fit on monday

esperanza - Good luck with the acupunture - let us know how it goes.

rlk - My FET should be 2 weeks after AF because the plan is to put it back into my normal cycle, so id say near mid to end of april depending on when AF decides to make an appearence.

Hi girlies!

Dawn--I will keep you posted about the acupuncture. I just love it because it relaxes me, and my acupuncturist is so positive. I'm so glad you are doing nothing...love those days! I am/will be doing school work  I wish I could take a break, but not possible right now. Tonight I'm watching a movie and drinking some wine with dh, so I am looking forward to that.

rlk1--yeah! another grad student!!! Girl...it's crazy, I'm telling ya, sometimes I feel like taking a leave of absence for a semester. I'm actually behind in one of my classes because of this rollecoaster...so hard to concentrate  I'm a bit more focused now (since my bfn in January), but still, I prefer to be on this site than finishing my papers

I'm working on my doctorate in Education (higher education administration to be specific). How about you?

Neffi--my dear...thank you for encouraging me to switch over, I'm enjoying this thread already.

Suzhan--I feel like AF is about to arrive, that would make me happy; then I hope not to see her in at least 9 months

Cheryl--you are so right, we are getting our BFPs this time around, we SO deserve it. Baby dust to you :)

Ok sweeties, hope everyone is having a good weekend.
