Hi everyone,

Just a quick update from me. My scan didn’t go so well today. On Friday my lining was a good-structured 8mm but today the best my doc could offer was 7mm and that was a sort of rounded up average of several measurements. The clinic has increased the estrogen tablets … my next scan will be on Thursday. It’s getting tough. Thanks for being here.

Catharine – hope you are OK and managing to focus on all things positive. Sounds like you’re doing all the right things whilst your embies are snuggling in and growing… You’re more than half way there. Sending you some more positive vibes and baby dust to keep you going… xxx

I'm a bit better still a bit blue.
Amy thanks for the sunny encouragement. Deep breath/slow exhale. I've got a lot going on in my life ontop of the 2ww [now less than 1ww]. Work is keeping me busy, 2 grants due April 1 I'm hanging in there it's a great distraction. Boss is still a nut case, drives me crazy just want to poke his eyes out and therefore looking for new employment. Deep breath and slow exhale. Shake that bad ju ju away.
Oh and I updated the list below when I saw 7 embies, 5 is hard enough on the psyche .

JenB thanks for resurecting your list I kept thinking about it and thinking about it, sorry I was unable to act on it. Will be thinking of you and DH. Safe travels to you. Sending positive vibes and baby dust your way.

I'm ok. Still stimming, but as I think I mentioned, not so many follies. Started accupuncture. like it. ALso set up some consult appointments. (One for DE, one for fertility urologist for DH and one for new clinic to get another opinion.) In the meantime waiting on the follies and trying to decide if we should do the ivf this cycle or go to IUI again????? Feeling tired but Keeping the faith. Love to you all.

hi catharine - glad you are keeping busy - you are on the right track with trying to stay calm. cool and collected...just keep thinking about all those little embies growing inside...remember PUPO....counting down the days till your bfp!

chriss - wish I could offer advice about IUI vs. IVF...are there advantages to the IUI, other than it is less expensive? - what does your RE recommend? Why try IUI instead of going for IVF? -- or do you want to wait on another IVF cycle until you've talked to the new clinic?...I'm sorry not to be better versed in this area...
I'm also having a problem with weight these days...don't know if I've gained because of no AF and it will go away once she arrives, or if it's the combination of dr's orders for more water and a higher salt diet (due to my low BP) or if I've simply been eating more due to all the not knowing of late -- all I know is that my pants are tight and I'm not very happy about that...guess it is something to keep working on while I am waiting...

Hi Tammy - happy 1st birthday to Andrew on Friday! -- didn't realize how close in age Andrew and Eloise are -- must have been an exciting time on this thread with the 2 of you pregnant at the same time...

hi - good news - waiting is over, AF is here! Hooray! Have an appt with my RE next Tuesday...I'm just really relieved...thanks girls for sending all those good thoughts my way...yesterday our yoga teacher led us through a relaxation exercise where she said we'd be able to relieve ourselves of something that had been burdening us -- I only had one thing on my mind and I guess it worked!

Thanks for all your support girls. I’m trying not to think about my lining scan tomorrow. Too scared it will be bad news again. The clinic asked about cysts so I’ll get that checked again. Otherwise there doesn’t seem to be an explanation. I’m off now to do a home yoga session…

Hi Amy, glad AF arrived! You are really ready now! Can't believe it's finally here. I do remember you talking about it a few months ago, just waiting to be able to start! Now the time has come. Yeah, I'm ptting on weight like crazy. I blame it on the drugs, which is partially true, but it's also my eating habits and lack of working out hard at the gym like I used to. I miss being fit. But... I'd rather have a baby, so for now, I'm not going to worry too much. Just ate a big bowel of veggies. Starting drinking wheat grass. Ever hear anything about wheatgrass? Hope AF is not bringing you too many cramps! Feel well and get ready to start!

DH and I think we will go ahead with the IVF if the eggs are still there. I keep thinking that they will disappear. Crazy, huh? Yes, the reason for converting an IVF to an IUI is about money. Thinking that we may try a new clinic and also thinking that accupuncture and a little time off may give my body a rest and a better chance of producing more eggs in another cycle. If I was youngetr, I could wait more, but you know the whole age thing. Will go in for a scan tomorrow to see what's cookin'.

Hi All
I'm hanging in there thanks for all the thoughtful shout outs. It really means a lot to me. This has been the worst 2ww that I have experienced. I've been trying to focus on happy thoughts I'm continually taking deep breaths with slow exhales. The clinic called yesterday to see how I'm doing. It was sweet that they were concerned. It saddened me at the same time as I am once again below ET weight. I explained to them the weight fluctuation. They said this go around they scheduled my ER while my estradiol was significanly less than last time in order to avoid the onset of OHSS. I will try not to read more into this information than necessary.

Chriss-I love your inspirational messages. Keep posting. grow follies grow. Wishing you all the best. Do you know when the ER will be?
