casey---I hear you. I know I am more moody than usual--kind of feel badly for my co-workers because sometimes the way I say things isn't they way I mean. It's been slow at work, so it's been crawling.

Had a dream last night that af came. I am trying to have a pma.

I am very lucky--I've had 6 tries--all paid thanks to my insurance (w/ exception of co-pays for drugs and $20 co-pay) But they won't cover more than 6 and as much I want kids, I think I have draw the line somewhere & stopping at the 6 seems as good as place as any since we wouldn't be able to continue w/ paying on our own. If it doesn't work out, I am prepared to move on w/ my life (not to say I wouldn't be disappointed b/c I would be).

Anyway, talk to you soon.

kbat/casey - Moody? I dont even know if that word classifies me - I feel psycho...I had to leave work today at 3pm or else I was going to lose it on someone - I have such a low threashhold now at work and then when I'm home I'm quiet and withdrawn...poorDH...I know it is the fear of a BFN...Igive you so much credit for keeping at this...you are definately strong women and I hope very much this is your miracle month!!!

IrishHope--I know we are on the other thread too, but thought this would be a good idea to also do a thread that's pretty much only a 2ww thread.

It's kind of insane. At least the last cycle was right before the holidays, so I kept busy decorating, shopping, etc.(wasn't working) But this way is much harder--don't have things to distract me so much. Then I am pretty tired, so all I want to do is go to sleep.

Been pretty good about doing no caffine (do decaf tea) and trying to avoid sweets. I do wish I could do the chocolate bar here and there, but since chocolate has caffine, trying to stay away from that as well. Well just about another week to go

Hi Girls!

I'm from sunny South Africa and i'm also on the 2WW - 8DPO5DPT today after an IVF/ICSI/DE cyle (we put 2 embies back on the 25th of Feb). I'm testing 8 March and VERY nervous.

I have been experiencing severe cramping since last night. It's getting a little better, but it still 'twinges' every now and then.

I'm hoping it's implantation cramping!! Anyone else experiencing cramping?

Hi Iccin,

The other ladies have been feeling crampy since their transfers, but I just had my first twinge of crampiness this morning (10dp 3dt). Folks tell me it is to be expected from the drugs, but I had this same crampiness when my IUI didn't work out. It's probably just the hormones.

hi iccin--

I think runnerkate is correct. Several of us have had the cramps.... I have them on and off. I too am very nervous about this b/c it's our last one. I am hoping that I am having implantation cramping....

Welcome to the thread

Hi Kbat!

Thanx for the welcome!!
The cramping is a LOT better today - almost gone.....

When do you test? Apparently here in South Africa they test a bit later than in the USA/UK - I'm not sure why.

I am having my HCG Beta on Saturday 8 March, I will then be 12DPT/15DPO.

I have not decided yet if I'm going to POAS.

Are any other girls contemplating POAS?

Iccin - glad to hear the cramping is better! As for POAS YES! I think my clinic normally does 16 days after retrieval but for me that lands on a wknd so they are making me wait until the Monday, 3/10 following - they don't do pregnancy bloodtest on the wknd...so I plan to POAS Saturday which will be 17 days after retrieval...how are folks caluculating dpo? is that days past ovulation and determined by your trigger shot? If that's the case than it will be 18 days after my trigger shot ...14 dpt...which I think is more than safe...I may test Friday morning but scared to then have to go to work and function all day if it's a BFN

When exactly is ovulation? Is that the day of the egg retrieval? I am scheduled for bloodwork on 14DP 3DT, which would be 17DP ovulation, if ovulation=ER. I am scared to do it earlier...what if it is wrong? I don't think I can handle a false positive....or a negative....I think I'd rather not know about a negative result and all its ramifications.

Cramping has stopped. No AF.

Going for a hike/walk today...gorgeous and sunny here!

My clinic is testing me on 3/6. I did my e/t on 2/23. However, for the last one I had to wait until a Monday to do it, so it was longer than that. I am just going to have them leave me a message on my home phone. I work in a big room where there's only one phone that no one can take calls on unless it's an emergency. I suppose I can have my cell on vibrate, and take the call at work, but I prefer not to do that--just in case it's not the news I want to hear--that way I won't have the urge to cry in front of all my co-workers just in case. They don't call until later in the day. I will have to fight the urge to call my home messages to find out.

No cramps lately.... I think that's a good thing.

Seems like this upcoming week is a big week for all of us.....

Wishing everyone good news!!!

P.S. I am not entirely sure about this, but I think the ovulation would be the day of the e/r.

I tend not to do hpt because I heard that the trigger shot may screw up the results--but I usually have the b/w about 12-14 days later. However, I think in IrishHope's case, they are doing the b/w after the 14 days, so I think it would give more accurate results...

Hi Girls!

According to my clinic and my FS 'ovulation' is the day of egg retrieval. You start counting 'days post ovulation' from the first day after egg retrieval, i.e. the day of egg retrieval is day 0.

I'm definitely going to POAS!! The most sensitive test I could find is 20 mIU/ml hCG - apparently that is quite sensitive?

Here in South Africa you go into the clinic at 7am in the morning, they do the HCG blood test and get this, YOU WAIT FOR THE RESULT. You get the yes/no within 10 minutes and the quantative is phoned through to you within 2 hours.

I'm holding thumbs for all of you!!

I am currently 8dpt. I had been steadily feeling more and more symptoms such as twinges, little cramping, more emotional, tired, etc. As of yesterday, everything stopped. I am not sure what this means, do i still have a chance? Wouldn't I be feeling more and more symptoms as the days get closer to beta test?

Hi Everyone! I test tomorrow and am extremely nervous to go in for the blood test. I have not POAS because I'm too chicken to do so and if it's a BFN then I'll be more moody and drive my DH nuts!

I'm still feeling some cramps on and off. Has anyone had any discharge while on 2ww? Mine has been this weird brownish type the past week or so. Not sure what to make of it. My clinic said that it's pretty normal but not sure whether it's a sign that af is coming. This wait is miserable!!!!

Trying to stay positive but still analyzing every symptom. Hoping for the best for everyone!!
