The problem is, with all the meds we have been using and are still using, the 'signs and symptoms' we are experiencing are not very reliable!!! It can literally mean ANYTHING and the only sure way to know if you're pregnant is a postive, quantative beta hcg blood test!! Frustrating, I know!!

Casey, good luck for tomorrow and thumbs up for not succumbing to POAS!! You are a better woman than I am.

I am going out to buy 5 HPT's today and will start testing tomorrow morning until my blood beta on the 8th.

Can't believe i'm doing this to myself.......

Have a fabulous day!!

Casey: Good luck today! We'll be thinking positive thoughts for you!

Iccin: don't torture yourself with the pregnancy tests! Wait until Friday at the latest before you start testing!

Irish Hope: I never really understood the PUPO mentality until this morning...I was thinking about it...why bother torturing ourselves with the thoughts of a negative before we have to? Just think that it will be positive and have faith that you can handle whatever the answer is when you (we) get it. A negative test result this time doesn't mean that we have to mourn the loss of our biological child...it just means that it didn't work out this time.

Kbat: Thanks for clarifying about ovulation.

Two more restless night until I find out!

Hi, ladies :) I just finished my 24 hours of prescribed bed rest and am now officially in my 2ww. My clinic actually tests a few days earlier than they did last time, so I will test on March 14th. I did poas on my first ivf cycle and I have not done it since. I found that it messed me up mentally. I figure just keep thinking positively until the blood test. That way there is no question.

The thing is...I didn't feel any differently on my IVF cycle that did work vs. my cycles that didn't work. These meds make us feel all kinds of symptoms, and I still thought AF was coming when I was pregnant. You just never know until you get that test.

I am a little worried as I only had two eggs fertilize this time and both were transferred. I know it only takes one, but both were only 4 cells on a 3d transfer. Anyone hear of anyone having success with a 4cell 3d transfer?

Hugs and baby dust to all!

Hi Kbat, IrishHope, Iccin, RunnerKate and all the rest of the ladies....thank you so much for your positive thoughts. I just got my results back and guess what???????????? It's a BFP! The beta is only 109 so I'm cautiously optimistic but haven't had good news in a while so hoping this is the beginning for all of us! Going back on Wednesday and hoping it doubles.

I do think that waiting for the results is better than POAS. It just drives you nuts if you do and I know I would have driven my DH crazy!

Ladies thanks again and I am really keeping positive thoughts for all of you!!! I know it's a big week for everyone!

Ah Runnerkate, I so WISH I had listened to your advice.....

I bought 5 hpt's this afternoon and subsequently POASed and got a BFN.

I'm 7DPT today, so it might be a bit early, but I'm still bitterly disappointed!

Now I'll have to keep on testing every morning to make sure that I didn't test too early.

Why, oh why do I do this to myself? I'll tell you why - because I'm a bloody addict, that's why. And apparently I like torturing myself......

"Hallo, my name is Iccin, and I am a POAS addict"

Iccin- Keep up the hope! I had 3 negative HPTs (up to 12 DPT) and got a blood test with POSITIVE results last Monday! Beta went from 91 to 300 on Wednesday.

I was in total shock to get the +++ news, so don't be suprised if the same happens to you! Best wishes and don't beat yourself up.

Hi Ladies,
Thanks again...it really means a lot!

Iccin...I do think that 7 dpt is a bit early. I agree with IrishHope that maybe you should skip a few days to let it build up. My clinic keeps telling me that the blood test is the only accurate one anyway so don't give up hope.

Congrats deblawson on your results from last week. Hope things are progressing well for you!

Positive thoughts for everyone!

Yeah!!!!!! Congratulations, Casey! Try to enjoy every minute of your pregnancy...it's early, but you got a little fighter in there :) So, don't worry too much! Yeah!!! Hopefully yours is the first of many BFP's this week and next!

Deblawson, thank you SO much for giving me hope - I will cling to that. CONGRATULATIONS on your pregnancy, I think it's absolutely FANTASTIC.

All you pregnant girls must look after yourself - put your feet up and relax, let your DH's work a bit, heaven knows, you deserve it!!

I will stay positive and upbeat until there's no reason to anymore....

Thanks for all the advice and encouragement - keep 'em coming

Casey - congratulations!

To all girls in 2WW - baby dust and stay away from the HPTs! You will second guess them and lots of false negatives if you test too early, it is so much better to wait and find out for sure!

Don't let the symptoms or lack of drive you crazy, everyone is different!

Good luck!

I want to POAS so badly! Today I am 15 days past my ER. If ER=ovulation, I should have definitely had my period by today, right? I don't know if any of you read Taking Charge of Your Fertility, but the book said that if you haven't gotten your period within 15 days of ovulation than you are pregnant. I am trying not to let this get me too hopeful...but what do you all think...should I do it? Should I POAS tomorrow am?
