hello all!! well im officially 38wks today and well still no baby hahah looks like lil dominick had made himself comfortable and does not want to leave, im still at 1 to 2 cm dialated and 50 to 60% effaced, ive been having major contractions on and off but still not enough to do anything productive. it was funny today though because my doc and i were talking about how we had to take all these measures to keep him in there and now that we want him out hes not budging. so we decided that we will let him cook a lil bit longer and i have an apt for 39wks next mon she will check me and if nothin by that fri looks like march 10th (the day before his actual due date) we will just go directly to labor and delivery and get this party started so looks like we will be induced at exactly 40wks yay me.....im so uncomfortable i cant see straight but as long as my lil guy is healthy and still looking good i guess i wont complain too much. so thats it thats whats going on in my neck of the woods i hope you guys are all doing well

Everything is going well. The baby still hasn't turned, so C-section for me on March 11th. My last day of work is next Friday-March 7th. We have parent-teacher conferences next Thurs. and Fri. and my assistant is hoping I'll be there for them, which I should unless this baby decides to put in an early appearance. I'm getting soooo excited!! I hope everyone else is doing great!!

Laurie - congrats on the twins. I know you're so relieved that they are here.

Amy - thanks for checking in on us and the well wishes.

Jennifer - we've had our retrievals and transfers on the same day and it looks like you'll beat me to the baby by one day. My last day of work will also be March 7.

I went for my 37 week appt, they did an u/s and said the baby was about 7 lbs, 2oz right now. My dr does not want me to go to my original due date for fear the baby will be 8 1/2 lbs plus, and I would be more likely to have a c-section. So he is scheduling me for an induction. I go in to the hospital the night of the 11th and have the baby on the 12th. The baby is head down, but my cervix has done nothing as of yet. It looks as if we'll have Brandi on the 10th, Jennifer on the 11th, and me on the 12th. I can't believe that in less than two weeks I'll have a baby!!!

How is everyone else progressing?

Hello all!! well today i had my 39wk check up and actually got some pretty good news! the last two weeks before this apt i had been at 1cm maybe 2 and 50 to 60% effaced. which really sucked cause i was having all theses contractions and not getting anywhere. So today i went in not with high hopes but really hoping she would give me good news. well after explaining to her how my contractions had changed in intensity and frequency and the way they felt she checked me out and long behold i have made progress im sitting at 2 closer to 3cm dialated and 80% efffaced so im almost fully thinned out YAY!!!!! and dominick is really low, she stripped me again and now its just a matter of time hopefully he will be here this week and if not worse case scenario ill have to go in 8am mon morn of the 13th and get just a lil pitocin to get things going and we will have a baby but from the looks of it we may not make it to next week which im praying we dont. so walk walk walk and more walking is what we are going to be doing now. i was soooo happy she told me i was actually making progress i swear if she would have said 1 to 2cm again i was going to have a nervous breakdown! hahaha but anyway looks like our lil guy will hopefully be making his appearance real soon!! just wanted to give you all and update and let you know how things are coming along. love you all and hope you are having a great weekend!!

Hi everyone!

So I'm scheduled to go in tomorrow night to be induced! Had my checkup today and I'm dilated about 2 cm and "pretty thinned out" so she gave me the option to get admitted tomorrow. The baby measured at 7lb 9oz at 36 weeks so I'm going ahead tomorrow and hopefully have the baby on Thursday, otherwise I'll have to wait another week if natural labor doesn't occur. OMG, this is definitely it! Suddenly, this is all so real now and I'm getting nervous and excited at the same time. I'll give an update after this is all done.

Good luck tomorrow Anna!! I know you're very excited.

I went to dr. today and he said I was about a 1 and the baby has not moved down any at all. He doesn't think the baby will make it past the pelvic bones. He wants to do a C-section, possibly as early as Monday. He was going to check with the hospital to see when they had an opening, but he has not let me know anything yet. I had just gotten used to the idea of me having him a week early, now it may be moved up two more days. This is so nerve wracking, but in the end worth it.

Went to the doc today and she said things were progressing nicely. I am scheduled to deliver next Wednesday, March 12 unless baby decides to arrive earlier. Next week is a busy week!

Well, yesterday was my last day of work- I CAN'T believe this time has finally arrived after four years of struggling with infertility!!! We go in Tuesday at 5:30 AM for our C-section- I am sooo excited and a little nervous. It looks as though next week is the big week for many of us- good luck everyone and keep us all posted on your big day!!!

2 Days!!!!!!

Well hello my dear friends, well as of right now at midnite (technically sat now) still no baby, but thats ok it seems as though my lil guy has made himself really comfy and does NOT want to come out. So friday morn they called to tell me they went ahead and scheduled my induction for Monday morn at 8:00am so this lil guy should hopefully come out and soon!! Tues nite we went to the OB/ER cause we thought it was time, I as having hardcore contractions and they were 7mins apart so we went on in. they checked me I was at about 2 to 3 cm and 80% effaced, they decided I should walk for about an hr and a half just to have NO change well maybe a lil, I ended up being 3cm and 90% thinned out by the time I was done. So they decided that since I wasnt at 4cm they were going to send me home OH JOY!!! so ive been in labor since tues but not yet making any progress, we are going to try to get through the weekend spend time with my hubby for his bday on sun and then mon morn hopefully have a baby!!! we will keep you all posted on what happens and let you know when our lil guy finally decides to make his appearance. love you all and talk to you soon!!

Hi everyone!!!!

My precious little daughter is finally here!!! She was born March 7th at 615am by c-section at 7lbs 15oz and 18.5 inches long. She is definitely worth everything I went through to have her and dh and I are totally in love with her and now wonder how we got through life without her. She's only 2 days old and has captured our hearts totally. We named her Ava Madeleine.

I was admitted Wednesday night for an induction and at that time I was about 70%effaced and 1 cm dilated. They started the Pitocin at the lowest dose and increased it overnight while I was getting the contractions. My water spontaneously burst at 430am that morning and I thought I was peeing on myself...They tested it and it was definitely amniotic fluid. So throughout the day I was getting strong contractions although when they check my cervix I was still at 1cm. OMG, I was getting so frustrated and finally they had to stop the Pitocin since it was on the highest dose and nothing was happening. They then restarted it 6 hrs later to see if I respond while starting me with anitibiotics to make sure I would not get an infection from the ruptured membranes. My ob said I could only wait 18-24 hrs to be on the safe end and at 3am (early friday) after getting stronger and stronger contractions, my cervix still was at 1cm. I decided just cut me open coz I couldn't take the pain anymore. I don't know which was worse, the physical pain or the frustration of not dilating at all. So finally, at 6am, I was taken to get the csection and our little girl came out perfect. That first cry was so empowering that I just burst into tears when I heard her.

Well, I'm getting discharged tomorrow and finally taking her home. This has definitely been the best experience of my life. I can't stop staring at her. She is our miracle child and I'm sure everyone here feel the same especially with what we've all been through to get here. Good luck to everyone and thank you all for the support. We are so blessed to experience all this.
