Hi Girlls! Thanks for keeping me in your prayers. I got home a little while ago and now I am just waiting for the call. The last 48 hours have been a 1000 times worse than the 2ww. I POAS'd last night, knowing that my beta was at least 23 I wanted to see that damn line. It was super faint, but there. Then today, I did it again when I got home from the doc and it was WAY darker!!! Not as dark as the indicator line, but way darker than yesterday! :D That gave me tons of encouragement, but I am trying so hard not to set myself up for horrible disappointment. They usually call around 3:30ish and I'm on the west coast, but you all will be the first to hear the news...good or bad.

Lots of love and many thanks to you all....

WOW!!!! Congratulations Corny! AM so pleased for you!

Really sorry to hear your news Lovebug but hopefully will see you again in April. The first few days are crap but it does get better bit by bit. Sending you hugs and kisses.

Well, I went to see the doc for my follow up today - he was really surprised that it hadn't worked, not what I wanted him to say, I wanted him to say that it was quite normal etc etc.
He has said we can go for FET cycle as soon as my next AF starts ,which could be in 18 days.
Half of me says GO GO GO!
But the other half of me thinks I should wait at least one full cycle until April.

This time I may also try acupuncture, hypnotherapy, visualisation, reflexology, massage, flower therapy - the lot!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Only joking but I may try acupuncture

KYW- good that you are going for it whether it's march or april - you'll do great with the FET. I really feel that acupuncture is wonderful - it is a great way to relax the body and mind and really prepare for the journey ahead - i wish you great success!

Well, I am sad to say that it's bad news. My beta only went up to 37, so the doc says its a chemical pregnancy. He told me to stop all the meds and do one more test next week to ensure the numbers are going down. I'm a little pissed that he's giving up on me already, especially since the numbers aren't going down. I may call tomorrow and see if they will do one more beta, I guess I'll see how I feel in the morning. Thanks again for all of your support. I'm addicted to this board, so I am sure this is not the last you will hear from me.

lots of love...

Cornybaby: I am so sorry about the roller coaster you are on. I wouldnt give up either...whats one more BETA to the? DO it! I will be thinking of you! :)

I feel like I have been given a big slap in the face because I started the WORST period EVER! It wasnt bad enough I got a BFN, but now my cramps are killing me :(

I talked to my DR. today- I have to wait until April/ May to start again. I might just wait though. My DH is going to law school in the fall, and I have been talking about going with him, but I only get the free IVF's with my current insurance and I am sure that if we both are back in school we wouldnt have the insurance.

So I have some decisions to make. Has anyone worked full time with a new born?

Corny: I am so sorry that the docs wanta give up. I personally dont think you should. I would continue your meds and demand another beta in a few days. It wont hurt anything. At least then you will have complete peace of mind. In my opinion...it is still going up...and it doesnt have to double. It only nees to go up by around 66%. Which means your beta would be around 38 today. So I dont think that is too bad...and it seems to me ..to be right on track. Others have had lower betas and have gone on to have viable pregnancies. However, I am not a doc. It is just my 2 cents and you should do what is right for you. Again, I am sorry. Good Luck on whatever you decide to do. We are here for you.

Hey lovebug, thanks. I know what you mean about AF. Mine was the most painful one I'd ever had after my last cycle. Hang in there and take some motrin or something. I have already made an appointment with another doc in April, but in reality, it'll probably be november before I can get started back up again because of my work schedule. Who knows...maybe we can be cycle buddies again sometime in the future. Take your time and think it through...you'll make the right decision.

lots of love sweetie...

Post by keita1981 »

Hello girls! i have a question for you. When did you all start to feel bloating during stims.? This is my 4th day of stimming and I have felt a little heavy feeling almost the feeling i get when I was on clomid and I was about to ovulate or have ovulated...kinda like i held my pee for like 24 hours and released it and had aching sensation afterwards. but know full bloating. this is my first cycle on injectable stimulations.

Corny - I agree with Tammy, I would not give uup yet but I am also not a doctor. Stranger things have happened and I tend to believe in miracles... Good luck and please keep us posted.

Love- Sorry AF is bad. It is very hard tt find insurance that will cover IVF, you are lucky! I am going to have to work full time soon after the baby is born, I know it will be tough but we can'[t afford not to. good luck on yyour decision! You are very young and time is on your side!

Thanks Tammy and Rio, I went ahead and did my PIO shot tonight and will call RE in the morning and try to get him to let me do one more beta. I sent a PM to Ghost about it and he said his clinic would have done the same thing...told me to stop the meds. He said it is highly unlikely that this is a viable pregnancy and that in the doctors eyes, the patients health is the most important factor, and since an ectopic can be very dangerous for the mother, stopping meds is probably the best thing. I just feel like I am so close that it's hard to give up now. Especially when I see that damn stick with the line getting darker. I thought my angels had finally figured out their timing, but apparently they don't think I'm quite ready yet.

And on a totally separate note...I am not sure what's going on with my skin, but in the last 6 hours or so I have completely broken out. And I don't mean just a little bit...I mean like I am 12 and have crazy acne...and I can't remember the last time I had a pimple. It's freaking DH out and I keep telling him it's because of the stress today...but seriously...what is up?!?!

Sorry for being so long-winded...I guess I just need to talk to someone...about something...or nothing.

You know Corny...that just makes me think even more so...to not give up yet. I broke out like a 12 yr old too just about the exact same time my HCG levels wouldve been the same as yours, now. What did your clinic say when you called them? Are they worried about it being ectopic? I was told that it is unlikely in IVF since the embryos are placed in your uterus.
