hi

I had di last friday and that went really well. I had a scan to make sure I had produced an egg. At this scan she found a dark bit's around my uterus, well the clinic phoned today and want me in as soon as possible. Well the good new's they might have found why my eggs are not hanging around after 3 icsi and one ivf with a donor sperm.
so there is not much hope of me being pg this time. Wish they had found out a lot earlier...

well at least there might be some hope in the new year when the op is over.

hb is really angry that this was not picked up before but what do you do.

well has anyone else had this problem.

feel much better now I have got that of me chest, you are the only one's who understand the dispair I feel sometimes

from julya ann
been in tmt for 4 years.Male factor. Have had 3 icsi, one ivf with donor sperm.Went for fet with 7 eggs but none made it to blastocyst. just had 5 DI. test date 27 july
Hi July Ann

Poor you.........dont really understand, are the dark bits Endo or something??? What op???

You sound very +ve and at least from what you say they may have found out why IVF etc is not working, surly this is a good thing...

I totally emphasise with your dh, all the money you have spent and stress you have gone through...it is so annoying that things dont get picked up at an earlier stage.

It seems from reading these boards that a lot of clinics seem to dive in with tmts too soon, maybe more time should be spent investigating, but then I am not a dr and perhaps these things can only be spotted after failed tmt....

Anyway, enough waffle from me......
Take care and stay +Ve (from a selfish point of view we can now be cycle buddies again next year)

Have a bottle of wine tonight girl and let hubby pamper you

Sarah
xx
HI there
Well - what a pain - can totally see why your dh is mad - but also quite encouraging to be given a real reason why previous tmts havent worked. You should push to get a discount on the next tmt tho!

Put something on our other board - hope you are well generally - how you feeling.

Not sure I quite understand what exactly yr situation is - but is there still a chance it could have worked this time? Hope so! If not- I'll be joining you next year I guess?!

Cazxx
hi sarah

thamks for your reply, you do cheer me up. The think it could be endometriosis or cysts so who knows. They want to put dyd inside to see what show's up.You are right I do think the clinic's jump in but what bussiness would not at £4500 a go. I know I should not think like this but the Rosie in cambridge which is a nhs hospital picked it up.We do pay for tmt but it is cheaper than Bourn where I have had all other tmt. They are at the for front of ivf, but the simple things seem to be forgotten.I must have had 20-30 scan's at Bourn, over the last 4 years.

well at least it has been picked up now and we can sort it out.

well just opened a expensive bottle of red wine, it taste's so good. How did your chinese go the other night.
looks like we could be cycling together in the new year, Nikola will have her hands full..

love from

july ann

Hi July ann

Hope you enjoyed your wine!!
Chinease was very good, the food was fab and they gave everyone a present too!! Good presents too, I got a really lovely Kimono and hubby got a silk handbag!! so I got 2 pressies and he got none!! thats life though!!

Take care and good luck with the investigations....do you have a date yet??
do you still test after this tmt? you never know!!

Sarah
xx
Hi July ann,
Can't believe your scan news - makes you wonder why we're not all investigated throughly at the start instead we go through countless tmt's and then something is picked up which is often treatable.
Are you still testing? As Sarah said you never know!
THinking of you,
Di
Can totally sympathise July Ann, I had six IUI's and then a hydro-thingy (the detailed scan of the uterus) prior to IVF which discovered a polyp and I wondered why they don't do a detailed scan on you prior to any treatment as that polyp could well have affected the outcomes of all those treatments. I had one IUI following the removal of the polyp which was still negative but it still makes you wonder doesn't it.

Millie
x
I've been posting for you all over. I should have read the oldest posts first and then I would be more up to date! You sneaked in another tmt when I was on my honeymoon, sounds like you've been having a nightmare time.
Lets hope that now they've realised they need to do more tests you'll be in a much better position for your next attempt. I had a laporoscopy and dye test and they found I had endo and gave me laser tmt and look what happened to me. So don't give up hope yet girl. Its not over!!
Let me know when your Op is, if its the same as mine its pretty straight forward and you'll feel relieved afterwards because you'll eventually know what is going on inside!!
Take it easy girl and keep drinking the lovely expensive (is there any other kind!) wine!!!
