I am currently at RSC--the one w/ the bitchy nurse at Providence--all the other nurses up in Lexington were really nice. they have a program where you can get money back if it doesn't work, but you have to be 38 and under if you don't want to use donor eggs.
BTW--I knew what you meant--didn't think twice about it. On the other thread someone did say something about Capitol one. Don't know if I want to proceed b/c it's sooooo emotional everytime you go through this and you try to have a postive outlook while at the same time trying not to "fool" your self into thinking it'll work. I did see a post that I didn't read that looked like someone got a BFP after 9 tries. Don't know if I can stomach that though.
I hate your nurse too. If these people don't know how to act compassionate, etc, why are they doing this. I can tell you real horror stories about my nurse (i.e. ivf cycle #4, so forgot to call to tell me about e/t. Had to page someone just to find out that it was a no go in the end. Then she tried to say that she thought one of the drs. was going to call me. During #5 she ordered me follistom instead of gonal-f. It's the same drug--different companies, but my insurance doesn't cover follistom anymore, so the pharmacy had to call to get the prescription changed. So on this current cycle I reminded her to order the gonal-f b/c my insurance doesn't cover the follistom anymore and she left me this long message about how she could not order the follistom for me because it's not covered. I was like what??? Then I've been using Village Pharmacy for all my ivf cycles. For #6 she faxed it over to some other pharmacy so I got this call from this pharmacy not local to me at all wanting to go over my order. I told the pharmacy I think my clinic made a mistake. I called the nurse and she said that she faxed it over to the wrong pharmacy. I was like what the he*l?)
Anyway, stop crying for the time being. I guess I am going to go veg in front of the tv and do some knitting to help me take my mind off things.
Indierad/Kate - DH knows I POAS - i planned on keeping it to myself but within 30 seconds of seeing his smiling cute face I folded...it's been a tough day for him too...I get real "fiery" and crazy...haaahaha...
I am having my DH get the call - Thanks guys!
JJenis - you going to POAS for sh***s and giggles or what? I'm curious to see if you get a positive...
ICCIN/Kbat - do you mind me asking your stage of endo for kbat and ICCIN what if anything your doc has said may be the issue? If you do not want to share I understand...I am endo obsessed so am just curious...thx
I honestly don't remember what stage it was at. What I can say is that they don't know what caused it--maybe a previous infection of some sort. They ended up removing my left tube the day before thanksgiving/ nov. 2006 which was shown by one of the previous tests to be blocked. (even w/ that they still had me do 3 IUI's) I was told that you really couldn't "open" the tube--even if you did, it probably wouldn't increase my chances of getting pregnant naturally, and if you open it up, the chances of an etopic would have been greater. Also, they they didn't remove the tube, something about stuff "spilling" back into the uterus making it more difficult to get a good pregnancy.
thanks kbat - I am more afraid of immune issues/hostile environemnt w/ my endo - RE says he's not worried but it's a very "hush hush" topic in the infertility world b/c expensive to test for and docs dont' know much about i t- if this cycle didnt' work I am going to push him for it/testing...
*HUGS* Kbat.. I'm sorry darlin. I know how much you wanted this. I don't have any adivce cause I can't even imagine the pain in your soul right now. Just know that we're here.. and should you need ANYTHING.. let us know *HUGS*

Irish.. I POAS , it was an EPT one, cause I had to see the word come up and within 10 seconds it was up. There's something so comforting about seeing it for yourself.
I know I'm a dork LOL!

Kbat: I am so, SO sorry. My heart goes out to you. I have a funny feeling you are going to have to console me on Saturday..... Hang in there!
Irishope: I don't mind at all!! I have immune issues. My body thinks my embies are 'hostile' and actually attack them, resulting in either a BFN or miscarriage. I am on immunoglobulin therapy this cycle to see if we can change things around. I also have VERY high FSH, which resulted in us having to go the DE route this cycle. I had stage 3 Endo removed 6 months ago.....
To everyone:
Yes, I POASed again. BFN. Again. 11dp3dt today.
It's starting to look really bad for us...... One has to be realistic about these things hey?
Anyways, at least we have a back-up plan B and C and D.......
Just want to get tomorrow's beta over and done with, I really can't do this waiting-thing anymore!
Hope you have a great weekend!!
Iccin
Busy with IVF # 6 with DE
Test date: 22 August
My fingers are crossed for you. It's comforting to know there is a back up plan and that it's not the end of the road. It's just the beginning. Sometimes it takes small, patient steps to make it to the end. You keep up the good PMA and don't give up.
*HUGS*

Yeah, Jenis! I am so happy for you and DH! I know you will be nervous for a while, but to enjioy just being pregnant! It is such a great experience.
I am so sorry, Kbat. I am sure you are feeling quite defeated...hang in there and rely on each other to get through this.
Can't remember who was asking about endo, but just wanted to let you know that I don't know the "stage" of my endometriosis, all I know is it is severe. When they did my first lapyroscopy 5 years ago, they said they had never seen it so advanced in someone my age (I was 28). So...not good is all I know. After my second lapyroscopy I did get pregnant. My left tube has also been removed due to an infection I got after giving birth to my daughter. So, now I am doubly screwed.
Just a question...for those of you you have endo and have severe pain associated with it, and have gotten aBFP...can you still feel a little pain due to the endometriosis or does the fact that I am feeling this mean I will get a BFN?

Had my 2nd beta today. I am so nervous. What if the numbers don't increase? I swear I don't feel any preg symptoms other than sore BBs and occassional twinge down there. I wish I was really nauseous or something!
I hate the waiting......

3/9 3rd Beta: 2331
I just got my results back from my third beta and it doubled again. Pretty happy about that but it just doesn't feel real. I think I'm still in denial. I was pretty numb when the nurse called. As for symptoms, I don't feel much except for the occasional tiredness. I think it's too early still.
JustJenis...when do you go in for your next beta? Hope it doubles!
IrishHope, Iccin...keeping positive thoughts for you ladies. I know you had talked about immune issues. I actually went through the immune testing and it's definitely a very controversial subject in most clinics. My doctor agreed to it and looks like I was borderline on one thing. Everything else was fine. Because I had a couple of miscarriages before my doc has put me on an anticoagulant med. I think this has really helped! And by the way, the immune testing was not that expensive compared to any cycle so it was worth it.
Kbat...hope you are doing better. I know there is nothing anyone can say to make things better but I wish you much success on what you and your husband decide to do next.
Indierad and all the other ladies waiting to test...good luck and look forward to those BFP's!
Jenis, Kate -- Did you guys have any symptoms to indicate a BFP? I feel very positive about this cycle so far, but physically I can feel no symptoms either for AF or BFP. My test is on monday.

Indie - - - I had symptoms from the start of my Stims. Meaning I was bloated REALLY bad (still am) and my bbs got large. Again that was all on the stims. I had cramps off and on as well. After the ET, my bbs became REALLY sore and the cramps would come and go more often. Also, this last week i can't do smells. I walked into Macys and thought that the perfume counters were going to be the death of me. But I researched FULLY on BFP and the symptoms they had prior to it and ALOT, and I mean ALOT of women that got BFP's felt nothing at all. They felt as though nothing was going on with their bodies. I made sure I looked around the net. I looked on many many message boards and hun, just cause you don't feel anything, doesn't mean it's not there. My BEST advice to anyone, Follow your heart and that gut instint. It's NEVER wrong. If you know in your heart that you are, but your mind is wanting to place doubt.. You don't listen to your mind.. Let your heart speak louder.
Sounds silly, but you'll know. I truly believe that women know their bodies.. it just takes blocking out the mind in order to hear it.
*HUGS* My prayers are with you Indie.. Can't wait to have you in the big belly club!!
