Hi Ladies,

Kimberli, congratulations on two girls, the names you have chosen are lovely. Think my DH will have a heart attack if we have 2 girls. Glad to hear all is going well.

Dexter, well done on the spotting stopping, you must be so relieved, and another ultrasound too way to go.

I have my 20 week scan on 5th March but we have decided not to find out the sex, we are going to wait for the surprises. Midwife asked me if i had felt anything yet, however after she had listened to the heartbeats there was definate movements around were the babies are laying, not obvious yet all the time though. Also DH bought me a doppler on line today, will be here tomorrow, can't wait. He was enthralled at the midwife listening in.

Hope everyone else is progressing well.

Take care

Hi Everyone,
Jayne- Glad to hear all is going well with you. I couldn't wait to find out the sexes. It makes planning so much easier such as clothes and decor. The important thing is that they are healthy.

Dex- I didn't really start feeling movement till last week. I had some before but very unsure of what it was. Now I feel them and know its them. :) I'm so sorry you're having nausea again hopefully that will subside again.

As for me I had my monthly dr checkup. All is well. My cervix is perfect and the heartbeats are good. We even got to see my stomach move a bit when the dr was scanning for a heartbeat! It was wild. Now of course I'll be watching my stomach more knowing its possible to see the movements!

Keep feeling good and staying healthy,
Kimberli

Hi guys,

Just a quickie...Wow so many of you not finding out the sex of your babies. I am so IMPRESSD! Willpower. Must say that was my initial preference but DH adamant we didn't need any more surprises - ha! Didn't take much to twist my arm. Can't wait to start buying things. We can't have a nursery as we live in a little 1 bedroom unit and can't afford another half a million mortgage so we're stuck here until we can sell two of our properties interstate and then we'll get moving. Would have liked a nursery though :(

KImberli - How many weeks are you now? I like reading ahead and hearing what's happening and knowing what to expect. I'm thinking you're quite a few weeks ahead of me. I'm coming up to 17.

Jayne - What about you?

Kris - How are you? Has the spotting stopped. Are you OK? If you need to PM me on anything, I am the bleeding stress monster. Hoping you are OK. Sure you are.

Melinda / Angie -What's news?

Gotta fly. Have a singing lesson to get to... OH yes, I'm a singer

Hi Dex,
I am 21 wks. 5 wks to go till my bed rest. I'm actually getting really excited about the rest. Work has been getting more and more challenging ( i work with autistic 2nd grade children). I find my patience which I have always had a high level of is depleting. Even though I know I will get bored being stranded it's nice knowing I wont' have to get up early for awhile. Hopefully I get caught up on some sleep, since I haven't slept through the night since before I became pregnant. Once you know what you are having you will have so much fun shopping. I bought some clothes this weekend and dh and I finished up our baby registries for the baby shower. Finally picked out the stroller and car seats. The fabric choices for strollers here were not much to choose from. I can't wait for the shower to see what all we get.
Glad to hear all is going well. What kind of a singer are you?

Hi ladies,

Kimberli - ooh it sounds like so much fun :-)

Guess what? We found out by default at our u/s yesterday that we're having a BOY AND A GIRL!!!!!!!!!!!! OMG OMG OMG. We cried!

The hematoma has resolved itself (thank goodness) and everything's looking OK except for one little problem. Our little girl has a fluid filled sac in her abdomen. Her little body is measuring bigger than her limbs which they were concerned about. The doc said he doesn't believe it is life threatening, but she will need to be monitored closely. One problem ends, another starts. The LIKELY prognosis is this could be an ovarian cyst which will resolve itself but it could also be a sign of another underlying problem - sigh. At this stage the doc doesn't believe it's sinister and he told us he's never been wrong. Once again, I am trying to remain positive.

On a brighter note, we bought some pink and blue storage units for the bedroom and letters to spell out their names on the wall. We have chosen the names AIDEN and KIANA. I feel so blessed.

Hope everyone is going well and look fwd to checkin in on you all again soon. PLs let me know if anyone has ever experienced anything like fluid in their babies abdomen...?

Lots of luv,

Dex

Hi Dex-
Congratulations!!!! That's so exciting having one of each. The names are really sweet. Don't worry about Kiana. I'm sure she'll be fine especially if the dr isn't worried. I know it's easier to say don't worry but thankfully the dr doesn't see a problem with it. You will have so much fun shopping for them.
I've been gradually buying clothes and have started on crocheting my second baby blanket. My mom just got the stuff she ordered for the baby shower which is so cute and she keeps buying clothes when she goes out.
I hope everyone is doing well. I'm feeling the girls a bit more still not consistantly but at least once a day. My g/f who had twins said that she didnt' feel hers until 24wks so maybe by then it'll be more consistent.
Have a great weekend!
Love,

HI all - hope we are all doing well. I'm sure ballooning out and I'm not even pigging out that much! Managed to stomach some broccoli for the the first time since nov last night - that was good to eat something so healthy!

Good luck with the scan Jayne.

I have had a few movements recently but also not very consistent - it's great when you get them but then disconcerting when you don't get them for a couple of days.

Have great weekends everyone.

Hi Ladies-
I hope everyone had a good weekend and is doing well. I'm counting the days till I go on bedrest. 2 weeks from today! My last day of work is March 14th and I'm looking forward to the rest. It's getting harder and harder to get up in the morning and deal with kids all day long.
I've been feeling the girls move a lot more. Still nothing constant but I feel them most at night when I'm getting ready for bed. I can't imagine how they are going to feel in the next month or so, as they get bigger! Other than that nothing too much to report.
Take everyone and keep us updated!

Hi Ladies, hope your all still doing good.

Angie, well done on the broccoli, i have been ok on veg a few weeks now, except for the constant heartburn. glad your shaping up nicely.

Kimberli, wow i can't believe you will be on bed rest in 2 weeks time. I haven't even started buying anything yet. DH put a ban on it till we had the 20 week scan, so now i can go crazy.

dexter, how you doing? long time no hear, hope your baby girl is ok.

Melinda, so glad everything is going well and your starting to feel movement, everyone keeps asking me, but only the odd definate fluttering/air pops type thing.

Hi to everyone else hope all is going well.

As for me, had my 20 week anomoly scan today, took an hour as the little bubbas were moving around like crazy and would not co-operate, everything looked really good, but twin 2 was right up under my ribs and she could not get a good close view of the spine, so we get a bonus scan on monday.

catch you later.

Hi everyone,

Jayne- That's great that the babies are doing great. When I had my 20 wks scan Mine took 2 hrs! It would've been an hour and a half but Taylor wouldn't cooperate and show her spine either. They finally got it. They didnt' want to make me come back in if they didnt' have to. I go next wednesday for another scan. From what I understand I'll be getting one once a month now. I can't wait to see how much bigger they've gotten.

I'm so glad everyone is doing well and starting to feel fluttering. Mine are more at night I've noticed. Last night they were both moving at the same time. Still not really strong enough for hubby to feel but getting more stronger.

Take care everyone the weekend is almost here!

Hi everyone - hope you are all going well

I'm finally feeling a few more movemens now - I was a bit anxious last week as I'd felt some movements and then nothing for about 4 days so I freaked. Anyway, baby (or wombat as I call it) is bubbling around nicely now - feels like I have Rolf Harris's wobble board in my stomach! (actually probably only the Brits will know what on earth I mean here)

Tonight I am off to Moonlight Cinema in the park with some girl friends - making the most of the lovely summer evenings as they will soon be finished - and guess what we are seeing .....Juno!!!

Hope you all have great weekends.

HI ALL!!!!

Post by Kris in Kansas »

Hey everyone, sorry it has been soooo long since I have posted....looks like everyone is doing well!

COngrats on all the boy girl, and girl girl twins...HOW FUN!!!!

Dex....we choose two names of our boy....AIDEN and Brighton...... =)
Not sure which it will be...but one of the two!

All my spotting stopped, and things were going great for weeks....cruzing right along, then Thursday I was admitted to labor and delivery for contractions....I spent 2 days in labor and delivery between my OB, a high risk OB, and a perinatal specialist.....and then sent home on bed rest!

At 20 weeks its too early for drugs to stop the labor, but at 24 weeks they will be much more aggressive. Unfortunantly come to find out , this is somewhat commen with SINGLE IVF pregnancies. We are a little nervous, but as long as I am not super active, the contractions seem to be less intense....so that is positive.
On a lighter note, the contractions are not causing my cerviex to change.....so we hope we can keep it that way!

Baby is PERFECT, and a little larger in size than gestation date, but of course our dates are not off! =)
He is growing well, all quad testing came back perfect....so nothing abnormal to worry about with our little bundle.....we just need to stop contracting!!!!!

Hope eveyone is doing great! Does anyone else have name picked out???????

Talk to you all soon!
