Waiting for first u/s - the new 2ww!

Post by lolajones »

Hi everyone

Thought I would start a thread for this seasons 2ww - the long road to first u/s scan.
I got a bfp this morning. Woo hoo! Cheated a bit and did a hpt sunday. Got a positive and pretty much haven't slept since due to nervous excitement, arrgghh.

Is there anyone else traipsing through the next leg of this by-the-seat-of-your-pants journey? I need compadres to obsess with :D .

Good luck everyone!

Love, Lola

When is your due date? We started an October mommies post on the "pregnant after treatment" and that's where we all waited for our u/s together! :) If you are due in Nov, I am sure you would have girls dying to join a new post!
Yes, that wait is a killer! I am going for my 2nd u/s today!!! :D
Good luck and baby dust!

Hi kerpupples - great name by the way.

My scan is on the 18th. Man I am fat as a house today, tummy all swollen. Was my first day back to work, been off as had pneumonia, and I am exhausted - am hoping this is due to warrior embies taking all my energy for growth spurt!
How're you feeling?

Hi riogirl - am too scared to move over to pregnant after treatment boards... I am a big scaredy cat. Good luck for your 2nd scan, hope all is well!

Take care
Lola

Hey Lola

I just wanted to say big fat congrats! I don't think we shared any threads directly, but I spent a lot of time on this forum back in 06 and remember seeing your posts - and how upbeat you always were! Fantastic news on the BFP! Eeek! Would be nice if you could sit back now and relax (haha!!). Enjoy your pregnancy! Hope the wait to the U/S goes well.

I have another 10 days before by beta test - on my 2 ww now after a FET transfer on thursday (huh - only thursday - it seems like weeks ago already!)

Ciao

I, too started a post similar to this after i got my bfp. Boy did i think the 2ww was a killer the US is the worse. And it doesnt get easier, becasue we know in our minds the first trimeseter is the scariest, even after you get your first u/s its gona be hard to wait for the second and third.... you wont calm down until after you hear your heartbeat( ps i am still nervous) it is what it, ya know) Luckily for me mu clinic does a u/s every week until the 11th week and then you go to your reg ob... But trust me that one week feelslike a year when you are over analyzing everything from why youre not nauseaus to what are these cramps! its insane! but lets celebrate the good news! U R INDEED PREGGO

Hi Ladies...I would like to join in the new 2ww. Lola...congrats on your BFP! I too received over a week ago and have my first US today. My clinic does them every week as well just to make sure things are in place. I am very nervous today...maybe even more anxious than the beta tests.

Mbre...I know what you mean about analyzing every symptom. I have been doing the same and it's driving me and my poor DH nuts! I thought it would get easier but the week does feel like a year and not sure what I'm going to do until the next one.

Good luck to all of you through this next stage and keeping positive thoughts!
