I'm Back!

Post by Nikola »

Hello everyone

I'm back! What the chuffl has been happening since I've been gone - I thought I'd logged on to that blooming Fertility Friends website by accident!!

Fortunately I had my good friend Tracey Sharp (who I know has now told you her fantastic news - hurrah!!!) keeping me up to date. So massive congratulations to Emma and Sarah - pure inspiration for the rest of us carrying twins hoping for a natural delivery!! You've both made it look so easy - with such whoppers of babies too.

Nicola - how are you and your twins? The more I hear of natural deliveries the more I want one - what about you?

Shell - I was convinced you would have had yours by the time I came back - but here we are still guessing as to the sex - you must be so excited.

Fiona lk - how are you? I met up with Helen and David over New Year in Northumberland and she said you are doing good. We need to keep an eye on her now she has started her tmt! I've got a good feeling for them this time.

And how are all my lovely 2nd trimester buddies doing?? Wibbs, Val, Di, Jackie, Dagny - how are you all????

Wibbs/Val I saw your post - thank you for thinking of me. We had a great honeymoon, Mauritius was lovely. Very warm, I had to stay covered up in the shade (although I wasn't that keen to get my body out in public given I resembled a beached whale!!) but it was very relaxing.

I've had a huge growth spurt in the last couple of weeks, I can officially no longer fit into ANY of my old clothes. Unless its elasticated and a size 16-18+ or maternity clothes its no good!

We get to see our little twins again next Monday when we go for our next scan/check-up. Hopefully all will be ok and we can start to prepare for their arrival. We still haven't bought anything yet -have you? But once this scan is out of the way we will start looking at cots, prams, highchairs etc..... best start looking as I have to buy two of everything!!

Anyway enough waffle about me, I'll try and send this thing (I.T. is not my strong point - so I'm confused big time with all these smiley faces everywhere and so many options - where is bloody send........

Hope you are all doing ok - love to hear from everyone.
lots of love (and happy new year!)

I know its nice when you see your bump growing but then you will be wanting your little ones here when your near enoug full term.
Speak to you soon.
What do you think of the new layout?

Hi Nikola

Glag you are back all refreshed and relaxed. I am ok now. I spent last night in hospital after a massive bleed. The baby is fine thank god but i am getting very jittery with every tweak and twinge and I feel like this pregnancy has been a nightmare so far. I wouldn't change a thing though as I feel blessed to be given this chance to be a mummy.

Hope your scan next Monday goes well. It will be amazing to see the twins and see how much they have grown. Good luck.

Do you like this new message board? I am getting used to it a bit. I like the old one but then again I hate change.

Take care love Dagny x

Hi Nikola sooooo glad your back and had a great time.
How's the sickness????

I have the midwife comming on Saturday 10th and my next scan is 19th Jan hoping to find out what it is I can't wait...(but might have too :? :? )
I still have the baby monitor so whenever i feel a little nerevous i have a listen, but baby has also started to kick me, but not every day.

Remember I'am the one who sneeks down in the night to open the xmas presseys and does them back up......  now i'm defo be on his naughty list for this year.
:(
Do you just love this new site..

I'm getting bigger now cant fit into normal colthes, have invested in some maternity trousers..Dh has bought me another top with FRAGILE writen across the bump, I think it should read "Handel with care bloody expensive"

I went back to work today ( i'm only part time anyway) first day since the holidays and told them my last day is the 2nd of April, felt a bit sad as I really love my job and the people  but I will keep in touch with them.

I wont go back after baby, I have decided to go back to collage to finish off my course on Floristy, its only one day a week and baby goes into the creche which is free, then I can work from home for myself when i've qualified.

We are defo going back to Florida for Christmas 8) 8) , so will be meeting up with Val and Bubs, if you can come that would be cool......dont worry about the plane journey... although could be difficult to eat your dinner with one on each lap!!!!!! :) :)

Val is getting on great her baby has been kicking her lots so must be a footy player.
Great news about Tracy s, after all her heartbreak last year she deserved to come up trumps keeping it all crossed for her, I guess you and Tracy s have contact and I would love to be a fly on the wall for a coffee morning watching you both trying to change and feed 4 babies...i'm stressing about one..

I have not heard much from Jackie T, although read that her cvs result was good and was expecting a girl, guess she is taking it easy and resting.
So wishing her all the best.

Anyway take it easy...
Love Wibbs

Oh Wibbs, its so lovely to hear from you! I missed you and Val so much, I was dying to find out what was going on!

am I the only anally retarded person that doesn't know how to use these wretched smiley faces. If I knew what to do, I would add the one that looks manic and frustrated here!!

Tracey S is an absolute star!! She is also a girl after my own heart and the day we get together with our four there will be no coffee being drunk, just vast amounts of red wine to keep us both sane!!!!!

We have deliberated over finding out what we are having, but I like surprises, so I'm happy to wait and keep guessing. We could find out on Monday if we wanted, but we'll see!! Do you really open your christmas presents? You naughty girl! That is as bad as July Ann doing her hpts a week early!!

I'm finishing work on 2nd April too! Its easier for me because its my business, so I just put up a big sign that says leave me alone I'm on maternity leave!! I've got meetings arranged for the next few weeks to go and visit my clients and tell them I'm pregnant and what is happening - I've not really told anyone. But there is no doubt in anyone's mind who sees me that I'm definitely pregnant!!!

I'm not sure what I'll do once they arrive. I don't want to go back to work. I can't see the point in going through everything we do to get pg to stick them in nursery for someone else to look after all day! Besides daycare is so expensive, its probably cheaper for me to stay at home - well that is the argument I'm going to use!!

I'm quite big now. I'll send you an email with a photo of me from my holiday! Have you got any of you????

Maybe we should have T-shirts made that say "Handle with Care, Bloody Expensive!" - I like it.

I read about Val's baby kicking lots. I had my first kick on holiday (I thought I had wind, but it went on for too long and it was a bit like someone tapping on the door from the inside - bless!) My twin 2 continues to act like a complete looney (obviously takes after his mother!)- the midwife said this morning that he was thrashing around and I should be glad I couldn't feel it all the time otherwise I'd never get any sleep!!

I wondered what was happening with Jackie, she has had a rough time, so deserves to take it easy for a while. Dagny too has had a hellish time - did you see her posts about having to go to hospital. I feel so lucky that apart from the dreadful sickness at the beginning things have gone fairly smoothly for us. Thank goodness the sickness has gone away (I was only sick three times on holiday - which was pretty good for me!) Instead I have the biggest appetite in the world and can't stop eating!!!

Have you had any wierd cravings or anything? I have a craving for chips - anytime of the day, breakfast, lunch, dinner, supper - I'm not fussy. Just chips - real ones from the chip shop! If we pass a chip shop whilst driving in the car, we have to stop and dh has to get out and get me some!!! Bloody good excuse if you ask me.

Talking of food has made me hungry (again!) - must go and do something for tea.

You take it easy and keep me up to date with whats going on with you and your little one!!

love nikola.xx

Hello my lovely
Can I join the mutual appreciation society - hope our babies don;t have big heads like us or no natural delivery for us - ouch!!!!!!!! I am now in two minds as to what delivery - what on earth am I talking about - would love just to get to 20 weeks with no mishaps - infact currently flapping about the 12 week scan - yikes. Our doomed village has had another mishap - mine and then BEv losing hers to a cord round the neck at 32 weeks and now Liz has just had hers and it died 2 days later - the hospital did not check blood sugar properly after a fast natural delivery - hope we are not all doomed - this is 3 out of 5!!!!!!!!
Wibbs - fab to hear from you - come and join Nik and I in the old red wine stakes - think it should take over from percy pigs on the 2ww - we both indulged! PErhaps I am having 2 bottles of Rioja! Anway how on earth are we going to fit into Harvey Nicks with all that lot - have to widen the doors especially and that is just to get in Nik's tummy - only joking. Glad VAl is ok and hope all well with Jackie - presume no news is good news? Not heard a peep from Becky in the states for yonks - hope she is ok.
Love to you both and great to get the board going again even if Nik and I are a bit backward with it all.
Love
Tracey
