Tina.....I understand the not sleeping issue  . I am one of this persons that normally sleep like a rock, no problem at all, but since I became pg I have the hardest time sleeping, at first I thought it was because of the anxiety, then because of the pee pee issue, and now I just can't find a position (I am a tummy sleeper, so sleeping on my side is just not confortable for me......oh well)...........please girls, don't take this as complaint, it it not at all, I am soooooo happy that I can't sleep it that is what it takes to have my baby. I am just venting, that's all

Hope you are all great!!!

Vicky--Sleeping is rough. Have you got yourself a body pillow yet? I highly recommend one--it helped me a lot and they are not very expensive. I think mine was like $10 at Bed Bath and Beyond. I can't believe how far along you are--time goes by so quickly!

I just got done trying to work out this body. I'm trying really hard to be more positive about my body image (trying out that whole positive thinking thing). But it's hard not to make fat comments about myself because that's what I've been doing for the past 5 months. My insecurities, I guess. But I have lost most of the pregnancy weight--it's just this last 15 or so that's killing me. Yuck. I hate weight issues! Why can't it be as easy to lose it as it is to gain it??

Oh well, my pity party is over. Oh, one more quick vent. My dh has to have surgery to have part of his colon removed and we just found out that it will be the Wednesday before Easter. Which means he will either 1) be in the hospital for Easter or 2) be one day out of the hospital. I'm so bummed--what a first Easter for Lucy. I know, she won't remember it but Easter is my fave holiday. Oh well, I keep telling myself that there will be lots more Easters and that I really should make my selfish (fat--sorry, couldn't help it) ass worry about my poor dh who has to go under the knife for a very invasive procedure. Geez, could I be more callous? Guess I'm just in that mood.

Hey girls!

Robbo- How are you doing? I hope everything went ok, and you are feeling ok.

Vicky- yes, sleeping is hard- especially the last 6 weeks. That was the worst for me. I got the body pillow like Meg and it helped a lot. I think at the end it took 3 regular pillows and the body pillow to get comfy enough to sleep and I was getting up every 45 minutes to pee- so get ready!! I am a tummy sleeper as well and the other night I got on my stomach for the first time and I was soooooo happy. Dh thought I was crazy- I was going on and on about how comfy I was. He was like just go to sleep already!!

Meg- I'm sorry about DH's surgery happening at Easter. Maybe you could just celebrate it when the surgery is over and he is feeling better. It sounds like not a fun surgery to get, poor Dh! How long will that recovery be? I know what you mean about the weight too! I am eager to get mine off, but I am not one who likes to work out. I was hoping to wake up one day and my skin has tightened back up and the weight is gone, but it looks like that is not how it happens!
Jenn

OMG Sassy!!!! Congratulations! I just knew this was your time. I bet you and dh are just beside yourselves.

Well my first beta on Mon. was 162 and my second was yesterday and it was 346. We are just so excited. We still can't believe it (which I'm sure everyone in here can relate to).
Our first us is scheduled for 3/14 so we are just hoping and praying that everything continues to go well.

I hope everyone is doing good.
Talk to ya soon.

Sassy - this is so amazing - am so excited for you. Look forward to sharing the journey. Keep us updated

Robbo - good luck with the surgery - hope it sorts everything out so that DD can have a a playmate.

Had a very relaxing week in NZ - now back to a billion emails . I am getting very rotund now - scarily so - if this carries on I will be enormous - have put on 5 kg's - not sure what this is in pounds! Have started to feel some movements but they are not very regular so rather than feeling happy when I get them, I just worry when I don't! I'm sure the sistas can relate to this.

Better go - have great weekends everyone.

Nickster: What fabulous news! You had a great doubling time. I will be anxious to hear how the US goes next week.

Robbo: So how was the surgery? I hope you have been pampering yourself (and letting dh do the same) as you recover. Hope it all went well.

Meg: being a little harsh with ourselves, are we? I mean, come on girl. Lucy is only 5 months old. I'd say that losing all but 15 lbs of the baby weight is doing very well. Bummer that dh's surgery is right before Easter, but I hope that it all goes well and takes care of the problem (I don't remember what it is.... diverticulitis? Crohns? I don't remember  )

Jenn: How's Anna?

Angie: is that baby kicking you more? I can only imagine that must be a strange feeling.

It seems like forever since I posted last, I have been trying to keep myself distracted with non-infertility or pregnancy related things in attempts to help the time go by faster. It hasn't worked  . Morning sickness kicked in just after my US last week, but hasn't been severe. I had a little spotting yesterday, but I think it was more due to the massive yeast infection I am fighting (thank you, progesterone suppositories!)rather than "true" spotting. Even so, it is hard to no be at least a little concerned. I do have to admit my first dry heave today was a little reassuring  . I figure ongoing m/s has to be a good sign. My betas continue to rise (last one was today)... I find myself continually surprised by this fact  . It kind of seems like I am dreaming all this and I will wake to find out I was never pregnant  .

Anyway... now just waiting for the US on Monday. It helps that a childhood friend of mine is in town for a convention and I get to hang out with her tomorrow, gives me something besides a beta or US to look forward to  .

Hope you are all well!

Sassy- So good to hear from you. This thread has been so quiet lately. where is everyone?????? Surgery was great....I guess...it was surgery so what can one say? It was out patient, so super simple. Actually, when I came to, I asked the releasing dr. if I could go ahead and return to work. Of course he said no. So, I went home and slept for a few hours. Then got up, cleaned the house, cooked dinner (with dessert), and did laundry. I even returned to work the next day. I wish all surgeries could be that simple.
I am anxiously awaiting the biopsy results. Seems like that stuff takes forever.
Hopefully this will help our FET work out better.
So sorry that you have had ms. However, you are right that it is a reminder that you are still pregnant.
I can't wait to hear how your US goes on Monday. I am just glad that your friend is there to keep you busy.

I hope everyone is doing well. Guess we are all just a little...lot busy.

Robbo--Glad the surgery was such a breeze. Will be anxious to hear results. You can come make desert for me anytime! I really like cheesecake!

Sassy--Morning sickness. Ugh. Try ginger--it sort of worked for me (ginger ale and ginger cookies)

We're just hanging in there. This last week has flown by for some reason. Nothing exciting or anything, just day to day stuff. Went to a music class/gym class with Lucy yesterday. It was fun but she was the youngest in the class by a couple of months so I think I'm going to hold off on going back. We're going to a fish fry tonight--that's been our Friday night date the last few weeks. Pretty romantic, huh? Hope all is well with everyone else!

Hi everyone - robbo - am glad your surgery went well and you can move on to the next step.

Sassy - hope your mind is occupied this weekend and you are having fun with your friend - will be excited to hear your update on Monday.

Jenn - new mum - how is it all going?

Hope everyone is else is going well.

well the wombat is finally making its presence felt on a bit more regular basis - thanks to Amy and Meg for your replies on the other thread. I had a anxious day last Sunday - I managed to scam a scan - actually not a scan but an extra checkup. Went to the hospital where they checked the heartbeat and felt my stomach - just to reasssure me - my ob even turned up on a Sunday night - I felt a bit of an idiot - but I'd felt some movements and then nothing for about 4 days so I freaked. Anyway, wombat is bubbling around nicely now - feels like I have Rolf Harris's wobble board in my stomach! (only Fee will know what I am talking about here - the rest of you will think I am mad!!)

Tonight I am off to Moonlight Cinema in the park with some girl friends - making the most of the lovely summer evenings as they will soon be finished - and guess what we are seeing .....Juno!!!

Hope you all have great weekends.

Angie: wow, wombat really gave you a scare! Glad to hear he is dancing around in there.

Meg: thanks for the ginger ale/ginger cookies idea. I had been making ginger tea, but was getting sick of drinking only that and water. Ginger ale has been a welcome addition!

Robbo: so glad to hear the surgery went so well and you recovered so quickly!

Our US today showed five heartbeats.
We have quintuplets.
We are a bit (well, a lot) stunned!
One embryo split.

Four of them look nice and healthy.
One of the twins is significantly smaller and has a slow heartbeat.
