Sonia,

From what I know, Decapeptyl is a European version of lupron. In my fresh cycle, I used it up to ET to ensure slow growth hence good quality of egg production. However, in FET cycles, I only used it up to day 6 of stimulation.

My E2 and lining were monitored every other day since day 15 of stimulation. Prior to that, I was only checked once at the end of the suppression/beginning of the stimulation. I also used E2 pill (estrace, 2 mg/day) to boost E2 level in the last two of my FET cycles from day 15 on to keep E2 level above 300.

Agree with you, having your doctors a plane trip away, everything is more complicated. If I was in your situation, I would have been crazy! I know that Anna had her successful DE cycle in one of the Barcelona clinics (the same as yours?). I don't question their credentials. Since your cycles showed very similar patterns and this consistency should help your RE to decide a different strategy to prevent early arrival of your AF next time around.

I am awfully jealous of your ski trip which I dream of having but putting it off many times - only skied once this winter. We are looking forward to next year when Eloise will be old enough to ski with us. Thanks for your hugs and kisses to Eloise.

Tammy,

It's very nice to hear from you. How is Andrew? Did you throw a big party on his first birthday? We are going back to China next month to visit my family, can hardly wait!

Amy, Chriss, Catharine, JenB, and everyone else here, I am following your stories and thinking of you too. Take care,

Yasmina

Hi JenB – good to have you back safely with 2 embies on board! Sorry you had such a bad journey home. Take it easy and look after yourself! hugs

Chriss – how are you?

Yasmina – so kind of you to share what you know on protocols and meds. We’re now going to try and get further help from a doctor here locally.
Yesterday I received an email from the clinic – it’s in Poland – basically saying that being able to develop a good thick lining which will hold out a few weeks is an essential requirement for transfer and asking me to consult my doctor on how to achieve this. In any case they advise having a hysteroscopy.
That means going back to my former consultant, a professor here in Germany, for advice which we were planning to do anyway. It was he who pointed us in the direction of egg donation and recommended the clinic in Poland. He also offered us his further support if we needed it, which is not to be taken from granted because DE treatment is prohibited here in Germany and many other surrounding countries. I’ve just managed to get an appointment next Wednesday and am now busy writing up a summary of details and my list of questions. We’re so hoping he’ll be able to find some answers and a different strategy because we don’t know where else to turn. ..

We’re still looking for a place to stay in the Alps this weekend. It’s high season and everywhere is booked up. Skiing is a sort of escape for me. Apart from the fresh air, sport and high fun factor, there aren’t many pregnant ladies or babies around so it helps me switch off for a while. I think it’s great you’re going to take Eloise skiing at an early age. I’m sure she’ll love it. I didn’t start until my early 20ies so it’s taken years to get anyway near good at it but my DH, like lots of our friends, started to learn at 3 years and is a natural talent!

We’ve got friends coming over from London to stay from tomorrow so I’m busy but I’ll try to catch up later.

Love to everyone else and thanks for listening. Thinking of you all.

Hey Ladies :D

Amy- great news, stimming just around the corner Yipeeee! :D

Sonia- thinking of you. I hope answers come quickly along with an action plan.

Chriss-sending lots of relaxation vibes, PMA, do you know when your ET is to be?

JenB- with regards to the your tune. luv it. Sending you lots of babydust as your little embies nestle in. Relax and visualize, the mantra PUPO.

Tammy-great to hear from you Happy belated birthday Andrew.

So now for me, yesterday was crazy: morning beta-600 :D then got a phone call in the afternoon to go back to the clinic for more tests concerning all my leg cramping. More blood work and the doppler ultrasound on my legs. Result: blood work, high WC count :( don't have a fever, and low sodium [I don't particularly like the taste of salt], everything else checked out in normal ranges, no concentration of RBCs :) U/S-veins are fine no blockages-->no blood clots. Still at a loss as to what is causing the cramping in the hamstrings, calves, and feet. Yesterday afternoon, the RE asked how I was feeling, outside of my leg issues I feel fabulous :) She seemed a bit concerned of the beta value but I don't want to read too much into her response. On an unrelated topic to the leg muscle cramping, I do have some unusual twinges in my lower abdomen. The twinges are more like sporadic tightening of the soft tissue: not certain if muscle, ligament, or tendon, just weird feeling.

Hello to everyone else. Thanks for all the encouraging words.

welcome back to jenB! take good care of yourself and your embies! will be just wonderful to have another bfp on this thread! relax over the next 2 weeks -- a pj day sounds just like something the doctor ordered - wouldn't mind one of those days myself... :D

chriss - hope ER went well and that you'll post soon to tell us how things are going with you! wishing you all the best!

catharine - sorry you're having cramps - hope it isn't anything - could you be dehydrated? -- my doc recommends that while drinking so much that I also have to eat more salty things (which I also don't like so much) -- so that the salt will bind with the water and stay in, instead of just flow right out...
as far as the lower abdomen cramping, I would expect that that is the baby growing!--

dear sonia - hope you find a place to get away to -- was just beautiful in Austria. I would have needed chains to go over the Alberg pass, but did that the last time and enjoyed watching the skiiers coming down the slopes.
So good of Yasmina to offer you such sound & supportive advice. All the best for getting some answers at your appt next Wednesday. Good that you could be seen so quicky. I don't mean to be mistrustful, but don't you think it is a bit odd that your clinic is asking you to get advice from your local dr - as if they have never treated anyone with your dilemma before and just don't know what to do? --If I can be of any help here in the area, please don't hesitate to ask.
Enjoy the time with your company.

thanks for checking in Tammy! Happy 1st Brithday to Andrew!

Warm regards to all, xx Amy

Good Sunday to all :D

Happy aniversary JenB and DH :D

Good to see the PMA shining through Chriss.

Luanne, not much longer now, aye.

Amy-how you ya doing?

Hi to Sonia, Yasmina, Andrea, and all you ladies I may have missed.

I'm hanging in there. Legs are still very tight and the lower abdomen is even tighter. Not at all like last time, didn't have this last time. Thankfully I have not had much fluid retention. I really can not tell, I'm still fitting into my regular clothes. I've upped my intact of fruits and veggies to get the added fiber. I am suffering a little from GI stasis, side effect of PIO.

U/S scheduled for the 18th.

Sadly my emotions are all over the place, mostly on anger. Currently I have a low tolerance threshold. The littlest things at work set me off. I get really upset as I walk up to my building. Thoughts of interacting with my boss send me into a rage. It's crazy. It's to the point I'm ready to resign. The real situation isn't really that bad. But as I mentioned I've become hyper-intolerant. Those who recall last Aug/Sept. I mentioned that my work released a women who was pregnant last May. In fact her last day was my first day. I, as it turned out, was her replacement. I really can not stand games like this. I have a lot of not so nice thoughts about the character of my bosses because of this. Oh did I mention I'm at work right now. So guess I'm angry yet again :( Thankfully Tuesday evening I'm getting together with the soccer mom's of the boyz team I coached for 6 years. All the boyz are in college now, but I've remained friends with the parents and we're have a lovely distraction, ladies night out. I try to focus on these small joys while here at work, but I'm not very good at long term focus.

Wishing everyone all the best,
Catharine

Hey Ladies :)

Just checking in.

Chriss and JenB- how are our ladies in waiting? Sending you two lots of baby dust. I'm looking forward to ya'll joining me w/ your BFPs :D

Amy-are you stimming?

Sonia-thinking of you and DH.

So, seems like my emotions are at the mercy of all these hormones. Currently I feel joyful :D If I was as savvy as our Chriss I'd express it with the sparkles and positive images :D I really need to get a handle on the computer stuff. This morning I awoke with my body/system feeling normal [pre-tmt]. Hopefully this doesn't mean anything.

Wanted to let everyone know I'm thinking of you. Passing some of the PMA on to ya'll.
Cheers!

hello everybody!

chriss - good to hear from you! thanks for sending so much PMA around! hope all is going well with you and your 4 embies snuggling in -- wow -- that is great! sending you all the best and lots of baby dust!

jenb - take good care of yourself and breathe in the positive vibes and breathe out those negative thoughts. Think about those miracles growing nice and strong inside. Friday is just 3 days away and you'll have your bfp! --

catharine - what a rollercoaster of emotion you are on -- too bad the atmosphere at work only feeds to the negative side of things...because I'm sure you spend more than enough time there -- Wish I could offer some good advice to help you deal with your boss, who sounds like a 1st class jerk -- Although completely & utterly unfair what happened to your fore ganger, try not to think to much about the circumstances that enabled you to get your job, it doesn't automatically mean you'll have the same fate. Chin up and try to leave work behind when you walk out that door so that you can de-stress and enjoy your "freedom" and everything wonderful going on with your pregnancy and baby growing inside of you. It is much more important. When is your next check-up?

Good luck with your appt on Wednesday, Sonia! Hope the dr can offer up some good advice and insight that will give you renewed confidence and hope for all things positive in the near future! fingers crossed that all goes well.

I start stimming on Friday. Can hardly believe it is really true. My 1st scan is on the 20th, 1st day of spring --would add a few sparkly things here if I only knew how! chriss, I'm thinking of you!

Hello to Yasmina, Tammy, Andrea, pricecake, LuAnne+2, Anna and everyone reading these days!

Luanne soon be your time to hold those babies inyour arms x x x

Trying hard to keep the PMA going...have been listening to a pregnancy cd for the last 2 wks it has helped me keep more calm this cycle.
I have had no implantation bleed this time ( suppose that means nothing) and have had cramps on and off , though heavier today and sore lower back ...I have also felt very sick yesterday and todady but that could be the meds or the nerves  so really just gotta sit on the fence until my results come back on friday. I am getting the bloods done thursday cos the clinic here takes 48hrs or more to get the results back...so hoping by 5pm friday i should have some news. My parents in law are staying this week from thursday to saturdaybut will try and log and let you know the results as soon as possible

love to you all and thanks for all you support

Catharine, sounds like you are on another rollercoaster, but at least this one has a door prize! Feel good. thanks for the PMA.

Amy, glad you are starting stimms how's it going so far?

JenB, really hoping this is the one for you. The 2ww is not easy. I too keep comparing my cycles and I just don't know what to think. I've been very emotional today. Is it the PIO shots making me nuts? Who knows? I just want to cry. hormones! Oh, what is the CD???? Tell me more... I need some inspiration. Good luck girl!!!!!

Sonia, meeting with RE tomorrow? Hope you get some answers...Let us know.

Hi everyone, how's it going? If anyone really truly wants to know how to do glitter, send me a pm and I'll walk you through it. It's not hard and it is fun! Wish i could do some now, but at work and need to keep it short.
Thinking of you all.
