ITS WORKED

this was my 4th ici's treatment in 12mths, and i was 43 last
month so i felt time was running out. I was suppoed to test
last fri but chickened out, i was picking my mum and dad up
as we were all off to ireland for a wedding, and i was so
convinced it hadnt worked i said i would rather wait till the
following morning when my mum and dad wernt with us
so i could have a good cry on my own. Did the test on
sat and it was a v.strong +++++ i cried, but i couldnt
believe it, so i went to the hspl yesterday for a blood test
to cfm, and now have my scan booked for 20/1
so now its the dreaded 2ww, very scared im sure i will have
lots of questions for u all.

Alisonn, that is fab news - well done!

Its funny when you think it hasn't worked it goes and surprises you! I was exactly the same, I was supposed to have my blood test at 8.30 and I was still sat at home at 10.30 and couldn't be bothered to drive to the hospital!! What a fantastic surprise for you!!

I can't lie to you, the next two weeks will be the longest of your entire life. I'm now 19 weeks and the last 17 went quicker than the first 2!! Try to keep chilled and stay philosophical about the whole thing and you'll be fine!

hi alisonn.

this is fantastic... Congratulations!

the last time we talked on the other side was just before xmas and you were really anxious. my pregnancy happenend just weeks before my 43rd last november so i know what you've been through. i am so pleased for you.

the wait for the 1st scan is not great but try to take it easy (easier said than done though) and feel free to ask all the questions you want to.
