Amnio FISH Results
We just did an amnio at 16 weeks [yesterday]. Everything looked great on the u/s touchwood but the real deal is the amnio result, which will be available in 2 weeks or so. I was told I have a 1 in 46 chance of having a baby with Down syndrome [thru my NT scan at 13 weeks]. The risk is high at my age, due to my high HCG. Few questions: if anyone of you did an amnio & FISH, how long did FISH results take? Were FISH and actual amnio results the same? Anyone had high HCG? Any complications with high HCG at later stages in pregnancy. I have been told mine is high risk pregnancy as my HCG is 4.5 times the median levels. Hoping to get my FISH results tomorrow. Any feedback would be great.
