Hi! Just discovered this site--what a great resource!
We completed IVF using a donor. Two "Little Bs" (6-day old blastocysts) were transferred to me on 3/3. As for why we needed a donor? Well, I'm 31 but am missing some rather important plumbing...I had two massive ovarian tumors 5 yrs ago that ended up benign (phew!) but it diseased my ovaries and both needed to be removed).
I'm very new at understanding all of the IVF lingo and #s....as this is our 1st time undergoing IVF. But here's what I do know: They did my Beta hCG test on Tues (8dp6dt) and that number was 150. I had my 2nd beta today (10dp6dt) and it was 544. My clinic told me they would have been happy with a level of 300.
So now I have to ask, its it okay to have a # that doubles so fast? I'm hoping so. Anyone who can provide me some insight would be extremely appreciated. Its early, but we're hopeful...cautiously hopeful.
Anyway, I'm so relieved to be able to chat with others going thru this.

Congratulations and welcome!!!!! I am so thrilled you are pg and the first time!!!! WOW!!! We got pg on round 1 as well so I know how blessed you are feeling right now. Don't worry, it NEVER goes away!!!
Your numbers are great!!! Perhaps you will be a new member on the Double Trouble page!!!! Some say it indicates more than one but my numbers were really, really low and I had two so go figure!!!! It's just amazing to be having one so God bless and I hope you have a WONDERFUL pregnancy! Hug dh a little tighter and know that this is going to be the most amazing magical time of your lives!!!!!

Thanks Kimberly! I really appreciate the encouragement. Congratulations on your twins-- that is so cool. We are very excited and do feel super lucky for having this happen our 1st time. It feels like there was so much preparing and waiting....then all of a sudden, things started to happen very fast.
All we want is a healthy baby. If its one or if its two...we'd be blessed either way. I'm having an ultrasound on 3/21...so maybe we'll know then.
