Its been a month since I had my little miracle he was born on Feb. 12th. I tried to have him naturally but the umbilical cord was wrapped around his neck and I had to have an emergency c-section. Little did I know that I would have the hardest time going to the restroom right after the surgery. I have been having the hardest time having a bowel movement and I do not do very good with laxatives so I wanted to see if anyone out there had this same problem and how long it took for it to go away. I would also love to hear about some simple remedies that might help me. I have been in pain for the past few weeks, sometimes its not so bad but sometimes the pain is horrible in my intestines. It just feels like everything is backed up. The nurses at the hospital told me it was very normal after the surgery and that it will take a few weeks till my body gets back into rythmn. The funniest thing is that the incision is not what hurt me its me not being able to poop. I hope to hear from some of you VERY SOON!!!! HELP!!!
I never had a c-section or a child but am pregnant and to keep from being constipated I eat an apple a day and I also try to eat a salad also and it keeps me regular. Others say that pears do a better job....keep the fiber and water going.
You may have to eat a couple of apples or pears to get you started. I go a couple of times a day.

I have not had this problem but..
I started on solids real slowly. That seemed to help. I had trouble peeing some times.
