I just received news that my first IVF/ICSI was a biochemical pregnancy. I am young and transferred 2 Grade A embryos, so I am scared about my upcoming FET having the same results. Any success stories to help keep me positive??
I am a success so far. I never made it to transfer during my IVF/ICSI fresh cycle because of a thin lining. I did FET the very next month and am 5 weeks pregnant now.

Leigh...Hi! I have similar fears. My FET is only just less than 3 weeks away and I'm afraid to ceome confident that it will work. I miscarried from the fresh embies made last cycle, these are frozen from that cycle so I'm scared they're a dud batch...if ya know what I mean. I can't stand the thought of another miscarriage. I wish you ALL the luck in the world with your FET. When is it going to be?

me too! Fresh cycle BFN March 7th...w/ 2 Grade A embryos so very nervous to be positive about a FET...I do know 2 girls who got BFP from a frozen cycle but I hear they are less successful...I think my transfer should be around 4/13...
Leign, Nikki, and Irish Hope~
I know how you feel.
We did our fresh cycle last Feb. We had 4 eggs that fertilized and they put 2 in which resulted in a bfn. We just did our frozen transfer with the other 2 and I am 6 1/2 weeks pregnant with twins.
So keep your chins up. I was skeptical too but I guess it's true that sometimes it works better when your body isn't going through so much at the time of transfer.
Good luck to all of you.
Hi Ladies, this is my story to give you all hope.
I did a fresh ICSI cycle in June 2006, got 20 eggs, 18 fertilized and 12 were good to use. I transferred 2x2day 4 cell and froze 10, BFN. I then did an FET in the November we defrosted 3 and 2 were transferred (all that is allowed in the uK) we got a low positive which ended in a bio-chemical. We did another FET in Feb 2007 slightly higher beta, but again ended in a bio-chemical. My clinic then carried out further tests and i was found to have a blood clotting disorder.
I did another FET in November 2007, transferring 2x 2day 4 cell embryo's both defrosted perfectly, i took 75mg aspirin in addition to my regular drugs and i am now 22 weeks with twins, both embies took and all is looking good.
Good luck to you all, FET's are far less stressful and can be just as successful.

Thanks for sharing your success stories! I love the thought of twins.
Nikki and IrishHope,
It sounds like we are at similar places in the process. My hcg was at 16 on 3/12, but dropped to 6 on 3/14. My dr. said that I will wait until next month's cycle to begin the FET process. I am having AF now so, depending on how next month goes, it sounds like IrishHope and I may be transferring around the same time. Let's stay in touch! And, Nikki, keep us posted.

Awaiting FET cycle in May/June
Leigh28 - I'll be here ...waiting, waiting, waiting 3/26 we meet with RE to discuss failed cycle and plan FET immediately - my cycle just ended...feels like it's taking forever to get here...waiting is torture especially for me...the shots I can take, the blood work, ultrasounds, etc. The waiting...I'm no good at...
I hear ya about the waiting part...I see RE on 3/27. Let me know how everything goes. We have 3 frozen embryos--1 Grade A day 5, 2 Grade B day 6. Apparently they re-grade them after they thaw, so I'll pray that both yours and mine (and others doing an FET) do well! Our state has no insurance coverage, so we are definitely feeling the pressure. I have never given much merit to the "one day at a time" saying, but I am beginning to live by it. In the meantime, any suggestions about what questions to ask RE when we go to discuss failed cycle and biochem pregnancy?

My story is complex but I guess you could call it a sucess story. My first IVF/ICSI cyle I got OHSS but they retrieved eggs and we got 16 fertilized eggs out of that!! We did 2 FET's at 3 days and got BFN's. So they decide to thaw the remaining embroys and let them grow to blasts and implant the best ones. Now I have a 20 month old son. I haven't had much luck since in trying to get a sibling. We has 2 canlced cylces (OHSS again) then a fresh one which was BFP then I miscarried at 6 weeks. And my most recent cycle was a BFN. So were looking at an FET cycle in the near future but I'm not sure how long I have to wait after a BFN.
jenjen - definately a success if you can look at your little boy! Thanks for sharing and good luck with your next FET cycle...
leigh28 - do you really want suggestions of questions? hahaha...I have a typed list so far w/ 21 questions to ask about our failed cycle and our upcoming FET cycle...alot is specific to endometriosis etc. but I found creating a file and eveyrday when I read or thinkg of something I add it to the list...you might want to try that and start w/ a few ques. you have now and as days pass you think of things to add...I am very OCD so I plan plan plan...plus it has taken 3 weeks to get an appt to see him I am making it worthwhile...wow I go the 26th you the 27th...we should have some answers then...until then I literally cross days off on my calendar...yes I'm a little coo koo!!!
