Anyone with night Sweats?

Post by monica »

Hi, I'm 38, and had 19 eggs retrived and 14 fertilezed. After PGD, I had 8 in good shape and Dr. decided to transfer 3 day five blastocysts. My Beta is next monday, and for the past three nights I have been experincing heavy swetting while I'm at sleep... Has anyone experienced similar symptoms? Would this mean that I'm not pregnant? Thanks, M.

I actually experienced night sweats too during my FET cycle. I am now 5 weeks pregnant!
I was on lots of estrogen. I think it's the hormones all wacky!

I also had and still have night sweats with my fet but I was on a lot of estrogen too. I got my bfp on feb. 25th so hopefully for you that's the common thread here!!!! Good luck!

Chris & riogirl~ Just curious....are you still on the estrogen after your bfp's??? I haven't found many people that were on estrogen at all.

I don't know what might cause the night sweats, but I'll hazard a guess it has something to do with falling estradiol levels (or perhaps a falling estradiol:progesterone ratio). Estradiol levels are extremely elevated during ovarian stimulation, and estradiol is routinely taken before an FET cycle, in order to prepare the endometrium. In the luteal phase, estradiol falls, especially in an IVF cycle, and progesterone rises (again, especially in an IVF cycle).

Low estradiol is associated with night sweats (at menopause) so maybe that's the same cause here.

Just a guess.

Monica- All I know is that I am almost 20 weeks pregnant, and I can't REMEMBER a night when I didn't sweat profusely since the start of this pregnancy. Hoping this indicates a big ol' BFP for you! Lots of luck and baby dust to you!

I am still on lots of estrogen. 6 patches every other day and 2 tablets a day. Also, one prog suppository a day.

I still have night sweats occasionally. We are sleeping with the windows open right now...we are in Canada and it's cold.

I have been reading that it's common for pregnant women to have night sweats because the body temp is raised .5 to 1 degee.

I too had night sweats while taking my stims and after retrieval/transfer. Usualy, when I woke up in the morning, my shirt would literally be damp with moisture. I have never had that problem in my life! I am now 7w3d pregnant so I guess it was all worth it!!

Night sweats and BFN

Post by BichonMom »

I hate to be the except but I had night sweats during my 2ww after my fresh cycle and it all ended in a BFN. I was on the Estradiol tablets the entire 2ww. Once AF came they did end up going away a few days into it. Sorry.... but I hope I am just the exception to everyone else. :?
