Had my second beta today and it was 365. Is that good? The nurse said it was, but I never know...

I think it sounds good. i believe it should be doubling/tripling every few days.... It has been pretty quiet here.....
Went for acupuncture today. Also got Chinese herbs--thought they had to be brewed, but they are just some pills. A little nervous about how well this will work, but almost went into shock when I found exactly how much IVF costs out-of-pocket (i'm one of the lucky ones who had 6 ivf cycles paid for basically 100%). So I figured I would give this a try for a couple of months since it's much cheaper.
Hello Everyone, I am on now officially on my 2ww. Can I join this thread with you all?
We had ET today. ER produced eggs, all mature and five fertilized. We weren't sure if we would do a three day or five day transfer. We knew we still had 5 embryos still splitting, but the embryologist wanted us to transfer today (three day), so we went in this morning. The RE came in and told us we had 5 embryos, three 8 cell and two 7 cell. They are all Class 1 and wonderful looking. The RE was very positive and said they were much better than last time. It turns out that we transferred a 5 and 6 cell, because that is all we had, and got the BFN.
The RE stated that they were comfortable with transferring 4, due to my age. Multiples implantation is much less likely in my age group. Triplets would be a very very low percent risk and if we were open to multiples such as twins, they would go with four. They also explained that if we were going to transfer four, waiting to blast state offerred no benefit. So, we did it, and I had four embryos transferred. They are watching the fifth, and if it makes it to blast state, they will freeze it.
While we were doing the transfer, one stayed in the cathater, so we had to transfer twice. The RE stated that for some reason, they seem to see a lot of pregnancies when an embryo stows away in the cathater. So, I am taking that as a good sign, I have at least one sticky embryo.
I am feeling really positive this time. Everything at this point is going so much better than last time. We got a great photo of the embryos that we transferred.
My test date is April 1, hopefully no April Fools day jokes that day. I am on my 24 hours bedrest now and my DH i taking wonderful care of me. I have an acupuncture appointment tomorrow afternoon. The acupuncturist states she will do a treatment that will get things flowing to the uterus which hopefully will help with implantation. One funny thing about acupuncture, when I showed up last Thursday, my acupuncturist was not there, and apparantly had an emergency in China, so she would not be available to do a treatment before and after transfer as we had planned. I was very upset. I did find another acupuncturist (the one that treats at my clinic) and she stated the treatments previously were most important, but she could see me tomorrow.
I know this two weeks will be hard, I've been through it before, but I also think my experience will help. I know that you can have every symptom and good sign, and it doesn't necessarily mean it will be a BFP. I am not going to read anything into each sign (I say that, but time will tell, won't it)?
I really feel that this is my time.
I wish "STICKY BABY DUST" to everybody!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

kbear - best of luck to you! i'm just jumping in...not in 2ww now....but wanted to ask you what was different about this cycle that you got such better results on the quality/quantity of embryos? i've been through 3 ivfs, transferring only one embryo each time, with 2 biochemical pregnancies and one negative. i plan to transfer 2 next time. i'm wondering about my protocol. i am actually getting a second and third opinion, too, as i'm not fully satisfied at my clinic. anyway, just looking to gather as much info as i can. thanks! and again....hoping your 2ww is short and you get your BFP on april fools!!!
Kbat, not sure how much it had to do with my BFP, but I also used Chinese herbs prior to this cycle in conjunction with acupuncture. I figured it couldn't hurt, right?!
My cousin is having fertility issues and she has been seeing a reflexologist and a chiropractor (does some sort of cold laser treatment). She hasn't been successful yet, but I am praying she does soon.
Good luck!

I have been MIA for a few weeks. I have missed out on a lot! I am currently in my 2 week wait. I had E/T on Mon 3/10 and have a beta on Mon 3/24. I had 9 eggs, 7 fertilized (ICSI), 2 day 3 8 celled embies put back in and 5 frozen (3 8cell, 1 7 cell, and 1 6 cell). I am very excited and have been "mentally pregnant" since E/T. Both my mom and my DH think I am preggers.
I am curious how everyone else feels during their 2 WW? Today I am feeling a lot of pressure in my uterus/crotch area. It feels kind of like my crotch is falling out!! I feel all around big and bloated and every now and again like af is going to start. Anyone else feel like this?
I am also contemplating POAS on Thursday (15 days past trigger shot) b/c I can't wait until Mon for beta!!!!!!
Runner Kate ~ so happy to hear you are preggers!!!! Congrats! You had such a high beta, I thought sure you had twins!
Brs888 ~ Congrats on your BFP
Kbat ~ So sorry to hear about your BFN. You have an amazing spirit.

Jen8675 it looks like we are both getting our beta read close to each other, mine is on 3/23, eventhough I transfer on the 3/14 my clinc test 9dpt. I've been feel really tired, mine boobs hurt alot and I've been getting lots of cramps. I think I am going to get HPT tonight and test.
What do POAS stand for?
I hope everyone else are feelling okay... LOTS OF BABY DUST.
DCU917: I did a different protocol this time. The first time I did the standard Lupron protocol. Lupron to suppress, then added stims. This time I did a microdose Lupron protocol. The microdose Lupron does not act as a suppressor, but rather as a stimulant a couple days before stims start. I got the same amount of eggs both time, but second time the eggs were all mature and we got great fertilization. I am not sure if the protocol is why or not. When we were doing transfer, the RE stated that sometimes the first attempt is like a dress rehearsal. It is all so new to the body, and sometimes it doesn't know how to act. She stated this could also be why I had better results this time.

I posted this on the Feb/Mar thread, but this morning I caved and POAS and it was positive! I am very "cautiously optimistic"!! It would have been so hard for me to wait until my beta on Monday 3/24!
Boluwa ~ You will definitely have to let me know if you POAS!!! Good luck!!! I have had similar symptoms as you- sore bbs and nipples!, feels like my crotch is falling out (weird I know, but that is the best way I can describe it!), hot flashes, tired, a little crampy.
Kbear ~ When is your beta? I think you did e/t on Monday? Hope you are resting and keeping a great PMA.
How is everyone else? Baby dust to all! On to Idol now......
Take care!

jen8675309 - My BETA is on 04/01, but I will probably POAS a couple of days before then. I want to have an idea of results before I get the "Phone Call".

Thats not good. cant do anything about it. I also have had boo boo belly all week. Maybe its nerves.
