Kari ~ OUCH  I totally feel for you. That is just a horrible feeling you had to go through. AUGH. My dad has had 2 surgeries and this weekend I had to stay in the same hotel room as him. THEY DIDN"T HELP AT ALL. I had to get ear plugs for Saturday night. OH MY. I feel your agony. Hope you get to feeling better.

JEN JEN ~ :o :D  WOW so many fertilized. How are you feeling today? Please update with everything when you can.. I can't wait for the next 10 days to go by and see what that beta is. OH yes please tell me did you do 3 or 5 dt????? Dr. Foulk is going to be doing 3dt for me.

Well, I am gassy (sorry TMI) So that means  Aunt Flow should be here by Thursday and then I start BCP. OH Rich (DH) was funny this morning. I think he is getting excited. He says very cute like "are you excited to get your period?" I am laughing just thinking about it. I got a good man amazing we have been married for nearly 13 years this june.

My weekend was fun watching my niece play in her Volleyball tournament (sp). They came in second so I have no voice, my hands are raw from clapping and my voice???? I don't have a voice from yelling and cheering. OH and I am out 20 bucks because I told her if she won I would give her shopping money. IT WAS A BLAST>

So my transfer was yesterday and they transfered 3 good embies. I must say I'm a little disappointed because out of 30 eggs that fertilized only 10 continued to divide. Thay put 3 in me and frooze 7. So I should still be happy with those numbers but I got it in my head that I would have endless tries. It won't matter because all I need is this one!!! So I just laying around working on my bed sores. I test on March 17th and 19th.

Karen I am excited for you! You get to start soon. it is just around the corner! Good luck with AF.

JenJen-Congrats those are still great numbers. I only had two that were good enough to put in and none to freeze. So at least you have that option. But, you aren't going to need that option unless you want more kids, right?? This is going to work for you!!Can't wait to hear your beta results!

As far as for me, I now have the stomach flu. It is just one thing or another for me. Plus my husband was helping his dad move a cow and it pinched his leg between it and the wall and really hurt it. So he is hobbling around. Don't get me wrong, I am not trying to whine, but wow things keep happening. I am glad that I can vent out what I need to here. You ladies are awesome!

Kari ~ So sorry to hear about your hubby pinch his leg. That is not fun at all. I remember friends of ours when we were branding getting kicked in the lower regions. Hope you both feel better soon.

I am spotting and should have full force AF tomorrow. I am excited to call Dr.Foulk and say lets start some drugs. lol. I know it is only BCP first but it is starting none the less. SO I have a question for you both since you have been this route. Will I get a schedule of how things are going to go now??? I have to go and get blood drawn before I start BCP so will they sit down with me and say this this and that???

I have been so dizzy and tired the last few days. Lost my voice Saturday at my niece volleyball tourn. I am still horse and don't have my voice back fully. Not sure if it is the volleyball cheering, time change or if I have a slight cold. WHO KNOWS. Just want to sleep.

Karen- I am sure you will get a schedule. I got a color coded calendar my first go around. It told me when to start new meds and what meds I was supposed to take on which day. It also said when to go get blood drawn and those kind of things. It was awesome. I don't think I got it until I started BCP because they have to have a better idea of what dates things will happen. So I would expect to get one soon. GOOD LUCK!!!!

Karen- The color coded calandar was great!! I checked it everyday to make sure I wasn't forgetting to do something. They called it my "plan of care." I hope AF came as planned. It's funny how excited we are to get AF when we're waiting to get started. I'm so excited for you to get started. Let us know the approximate dates when you get them. Sounds like you need to stay away from the volleyball games for a while too. :D

Where exactly do each of you live?

This wait is driving me crazy this time. I've been through this 5 times now and this the worst wait for results yet!! I thinks it's just because we went to a new clinic this time so things aren't as familar, which makes me just a little uneasy. I'm not one to keep a good mental attitude and that doesn't help. If something bad is going to happen it will happen to my husband and I. I'm hoping that I get a BFP and that everyone else follows! Dr. Foulk said we have about a 60% chance of it working, he also made sure I knew the 3% chance of triplets :) :) I go back to work tomorrow so that will definately help the next 6 days go by faster. I'll have my results next Wednesday.

AF came right on cue. I called Janna and she called me back and said are you ready to get started with the chipper fun in her voice. Made me feel good. So I am sitting here in my crampy feeling body excited to get my blood drawn and pick up my BCP tomorrow morning at 11:30. I work in Caldwell so I will just leave a bit early and head to boise for my appointment. I have to sign additional study paperwork but that will take nothing at all. Janna said they will call me to tell me when to start taking the BCP then I will schedule my plan of care for detail appointments.

I can't wait to get my color coded calendar. lol..

Jen Jen ~ I live in Middleton, ID just north of Nampa about 6 miles. It is a bit out of the way and still feels like you are close by if needed. things are growing together so quickly here. I can't wait for the next 6 days to fly by. Do you have to come to Boise to get your blood work on that day????

I have a question for you both. How long were you out from work for the retrieval and transfer??? How long afterwards do you need to rest? I have time to think about this but I am so curious.

Kari ~ How are you feeling with your sinus and all?

I do have a blog out there as well that you are more than welcome to stalk. jackson1995.blogspot.com

Karen I'm excited for you to get started!!! I would plan on not working the day of ER and the days after. Then for the ET take off the day of the transfer and the 2 days following (they call those princess days). I get to do my blood work here in Pocatello thank goodness. I would be annoyed to have to drive nearly 4 hours just for that. I'm getting nervous for it. I know where Middleton is I briefly date a boy in college from there. His name was Josh but I can't remember his name a the moment. He had a couple roomates who were also from there. Marcus Hurst and Paul something..... anyway I know the area. I also watched that Extreme Makeover with the people from there that had all those sick kids! Sorry I'm rambling I better get ready for work.

Karen I am so glad that AF has come and that you get to get started!! It is just an amazing roller coaster!! I also checked the calendar daily to make sure that I was taking and doing all that I needed to. Keep us posted with the dates.

Jenny I live in Salina, Utah. Do you know where that is? Most people don't. But they know where Richfield (which is 20 minutes south) or Gunnison which is (20 minutes north). Anyway, we are living with my in-laws right now. We moved home and couldn't find a house that we liked in our price range. So we bought some land and we are working on paying it off right now so that we can build our house and not have the land in the cost of the house. I am way ready to have a house though. It is hard to not have things in the house the way I like them to be. My in-laws are great but it is just that we live with all our stuff in One bedroom and the rest that isn't with us in a storage unit. Oh it is hard. We are getting anxious and I think we might end up just having half the price of the land in with our home loan so that we can start building. Because we both want to start. So we will see. BUt I am very excited to hear the results on Wednesday!!!!!!!! I have a friend who just did it and she got a BFP and she is having one baby. I am so excited for her, and I can't wait for your BFP!!!! Keep us posted!!

As for me. I am still dealing with sinus issues. They are starting to come back since my last appointment. I have an appointment on the 27th to go back to the dr. BUt I am nervous to go back because of how much pain I felt last time. But I will go and hope everything looks ok. We are still plugging along!! I will let you know if anything exciting happens.

Kari ~ I know your feeling of living in with the In-laws. Rich and I did that in Wyoming for 8 months. I admire you for sticking it out. I couldn't we were ready to rent an Apartment if we didn't find a house to buy soon then.

JenJen~ How are you feeling? Have you broken down and bought a HPT? When is the blood draw??? Wishing you lots of postive vibes.

Jana (Dr. foulks office) called me last night. Blood for FSH levels came back good and I started my BCP this morning. I am wiser and taking them with food rather at night on empty stomach. We go in tomorrow at 11am for my Plan of Care and order meds if I understood her correctly. Hopefully will be able to plan for the trip to Reno better tomorrow. What do you think girls???

Kari~ I'm very familar with the Salina area, my husbands grandma lives in Gunnison and we were actullay down there about 3 weeks ago to visit. He also has cousins in Richfield. It's kinda the middle of nowhere but still has a unique beauty. I hope your sinus troubles go away soon, that's just a senstive area. Hang in there with your in-laws the way things are looking with our economy the lower your house payment the better!!

Karen~Let me know how your appoinment goes. I'm sure they know there stuff but I work at a pharmacy and have managed to keep my cost somewhat low in that department. Or do they include drugs in the study?? That would be awsome. BCP are hard on the stomach. Some people take them at night so they can sleep throught the nausea. Otherwise take in the morning with food it should definately help.

As for me.... I've been peeing on a stick for the last several days, because in the past this has been very accurate for me. So the sticks have showed nothing encouraging. Yesterday I had my day 8 blood draw which they don't give the results to but I called the lab and got the results myself. My beta HcG is less than 1 so I'm crewed. It's a BFN :( I still have to get another blood draw in the morning to confirm but I'm pretty sure it's over for this time around. I'm so tierd of all this. I erased my history because everytime I looked at it I got discouraged. But that was my 5th time I've had a tranfer and I've had 2 cancled cycles. My poor body. If I didn't have my precious son out of all this I would have given up a long time ago. It's absolutey worth all the debt, travel, shots, discouragment, and everything else that comes with this prcoess. I was really hoping that I could start things out right for all of us but it wasn't ment to be. I'm not sure when we will do our FET. I haven't even talk to Dr. Foulk's office yet, that phone call comes tomorrow. Anyway, I had my break down last night and I'm doing better today. Sorry to depress everyone but that's my life.

Jen I am SOOO SORRY!! I can't imagine having that many disappointments. I had the one and it was a very sad time. I wish you the best of luck!!

Karen I am very excited for you. I think I took my BCP at night, they didn't seem to bother me. But my antibiotic mixed with the lupron definately made me sick it took me two days of puking to finally call the Pharmacist and ask him about it. He was very helpful told me to take the lupron and half an hour later take the antibiotic with food. So I say good luck.

As for me they finally contacted me and they want me to sign consents. They are going to send them to me and have me sign them, but I have to go over them on the phone with Ann Marie in Utah. The sad part is my husband and I have been having a feeling that we shouldn't do this IVF. We both had the feeling for about a month and then just the other day we finally discussed it. I just thought it interesting that we both had the feelings separate of each other. SO I will keep you posted but it doesn't look like it is going to be something that we do again. We would do it, but we are religious and feel like God is telling us not to do it. Not really sure why but, we are going to trust our feelings. I will let you know when we have officially decided.

JenJen~ I am so sorry to hear that it didn't take. I had all the stickey vibes going. You are an amazing women. Please let me know if I can do anything for you.

Kari ~ You too are amazing. With both you and your husband coming to terms over this. You have an amazing relationship. Sounds like you two are very level headed and only you know what is best for your family.

I got my plan of care. Janna didn't have my Color Coded Calendar ready yet. I will get that in the next few days after she orders my meds. So that way everything is accurate and matches. I start my injections of Lupron on 3/31/08... Then Projected IVF/ICSI #1 is on 4/18/08. APRIL GIRLS. APRIL> I thought it would be mid may not April.   Rich on the way home kept singing "you are going to be a mommy" I am excited and only good things may come with whatever happens.

Karen~ you are going to be a mommy!! Its's funny how you sit and wait and wait and then all the sudden it's time and it throws you off a little. But I really do have a good feeling for you guys good luck. That's in like 3 weeks...wow!! I really can't wait to hear how it goes for you. It's in Reno right? Are you going to drive? And will your husband be with you the entire time?

Kari~It sounds like you and your husband are playing it smart. You can't go into IVF feeling unsure about it. There is a reason you both feel uneasy. We like to cosider ourselves religous too but these BFN are hard to take. It feels like a punishment. We're told to have a family, stay out of debt, have a savings account, and all this stuff that IVF makes very difficult to do. Anyway.... that's my deal.

I asked when the soonest I could do an FET and they said probably May because Dr. Foulk and Slater were really busy in April with some big conference that he is in charge of and already scheduled FET's. May is a really bad month for us because my husband is having surgery in Pheonix at the Mayo Clinic May 6th on his messed up elbow. So we already have tons of traveling and he won't be much help if any watching the little guy if I'm on bedrest. We have a lot of decisions to make. We really want to get this going again. My husbands almost 38 and feels old plus we want our kids to be close in age. We start doing IVF again for #2 a year ago now and we've got nowhere. But I do feel positive about FET I think my body was in a state of shock from having 66 eggs taken out. So we'll let things calm down and try again!!

OH KAREN!! Yeah April!! That is so exciting!! Yeah you will be a MOMMY!!!! I think that is awesome that he is into it!! My husband would have normally done something like that. But he didn't get into it as much as I thought he would. Oh well, that is the way it worked.

Jen-Oh I am sorry that you have been through so much. I really do admire you. It takes a lot out of a person when that negative comes. I was kind of in my own world when I found out. I just pretty much stayed in my room for a month and only came out to eat and shower and go to the bathroom. I didn't want to go anywhere. My sister in law finally talked me into going to her house for a "GIRLS WEEKEND" full of scrapbooking. That was inevitably what got me out of the rut that I was in. I totally understand. I also totally understand the whole "have a family, stay out of debt, and save money, etc" that is the same thing we are struggling with right now. We know that we were supposed to do our 1st IVF so we ended up taking a loan out to pay for it. So we know it was something that we were supposed to do, but we went into debt to try to have a Family. That is quite the irony. I guess since I felt that we were lead to do it, I just assumed that it would work. It was hard to work through that too. But I have no doubt that I was meant to have that negative so that I could learn some things from it. But what a hard lesson. I can just tell you that I will have you in my prayers!!! I really wish you the best. I hope that they will get you in soon so you can do your FET. GOOD LUCK! Keep us posted.

I talked to the lady today and told her that we weren't going to do it and she just said well if we change our mind to call her. Unless we earn some serious money and I mean SERIOUS money, we just felt like it would make us more in debt. Even though it is a WAY good opportunity!! So I guess I will try to figure out what my next move is. First I have to build a house and then maybe Foster care (my sister gets to adopt the little boy she fostered) or adoption. Not sure and I am not sure why we are meant not to do this. But maybe it will make sense later.
