Itchy Welts from PIO injections??

I feel like i'm such a whiner, but my ass is itching so bad and i now have big inch sized welts in the areas where the injections go. anyone else have this? should i call my RE?

deblawson - First, CONGRATS on a BFP!!

I have heard of this from my friend - she got itchy welts b/c she had a slight allergy to the oil...I would call your RE - they may have a rememdy to make the itching stop and you'll be more comfortable! Good Luck!

First of all, congrats on the BFP!!!

I am getting ready to start IVF#2 with high hopes!
I got huge, itchy welps on my rear as well. They lasted 10-12 days. My nurse said I am allergic to the sesame oil suspension in the progesterone. So, for the next cycle they have switched to an olive oil suspension. Definitely call your RE so they can switch you. As for the itching, I used topical benadryl during the day and oral benadryl when I got home from work (it makes me sooo tired)! Good luck

See if RE will switch you to Crinone vaginal suppositories. Good luck and congrats!
