Happy Friday!! I'll let everyone know how tomorrow morning goes with POAS!

IrishHope - I totally understand "ditching" the holidays with family. We've learned to pick and choose what we want to attend and not to feel guilty about it. And in doing that, it's really allowed DH and I to have some wonderful time together without everyone else. My best friend has 3 kids, and I've always been the "Aunt". I really love those kids. I made them all Easter baskets, so Sunday morning we'll do the beta test, hope to have an answer by noon (AUGH!! ) and go see them for Easter lunch. [I'm really bummed that I'm going to miss Easter Sunday church, but my RE office usually calls right during church. It's just easier not to go this year, especially with the hopefully good news that's coming.] I'm preparing myself to enjoy lunch irregardless of how the test goes.

Also - any of our close friends that know about us going through IVF, we told them that we wouldn't know until Wednesday, so it gives DH and I some time to accept the results before sharing.

angram - This is the place to ask questions!! Yes - sex was uncomfortable for us, especially towards the end of stimming. It's all part of this lovely process. My RE says at least no sex until your beta. I'll have to ask him past that. It's funny. I'm not sure I'm going to know what to do if I am pregnant. We've been trying to get to this point for 5 years. Weird.

rlk - Hang in there!!! I spotted pretty much off and on (and it seemed more like the "on") from the start of stims through day 2 of transfer. My uterus always looked good. I'll be praying for your transfer tomorrow...it's going to happen. :D

Hi all--

Thanks so much for all of the support. I called my nurse again and she said that it's highly unlikely that it's AF--given that I'm on so many meds (estrogen, progesterone, etc.). She said that they won't transfer the embryos unless everything looks good, so we'll know tomorrow at our transfer if it's a go.

Weird, huh?! I've been feeling pretty crummy all day--cramps, tired, nauseous--maybe it's my body showing me what a BFP will feel like?!?

I'm trying to keep up with the PMA. I have to say, it really helps to have you girls!! (okay, fine, that was shmoopy---it's the hormones!).

Nicaliw: Wow only two weeks?!? Time flies!! How many to transfer..we were struggling with the same question. The sage advice on this board has been to do what feels comfortable. If three seems too much for you, I don't think 2 is unreasonable at all. What number are you leaning towards?

J&C: Good luck tomorrow!! I can't wait to hear the good news! Thanks for letting me know I'm not alone with the spotting!! Oh, I tell my husband all about you guys too! Although, I imagine it's really weird for him because instead of referring to you guys as "the young one" or "the one from MA" or whatever...I refer to you as your usernames. Something like, "IrishHope said to...", "Neffi thinks we should...", "J&C commented that..". He always looks at me like I'm crazy!

IrishHope: I've ditched a few holidays and gatherings too to avoid putting on the happy face. Sometimes it's good for the soul to focus on yourself instead of others!

Angram: Well, I might as well be a nun at this point. We haven't had sex for a few weeks because I feel so unattractive (gotta love the bloat) and uncomfortable. DH has been a sport!

Neffi: You're 8dpo!! YAYY!! Do you have an idea of when you'll POAS, or is it something you'll just do when the time seems right?

Okay, I'll fill you in after tomorrow's adventure!

Rlk1-- well Im glad the nurse said its not AF. Is it a lot of spotting? Or do you just notice when you wipe? Yes I am 8dpo....I have decided to POAS 3/29. I would do it as early as 3/27 but I dont want to do it on a morning that I have to go to work. If it was neg I wouldnt want to go...and if its positive I wouldnt want to go! I would want to celebrate...and SHOP! haha...so if I can stay strong, Im going to wait til saturday morning. I might do it 3/28 at night, but everyone says use first morning pee! So we'll see. Im already going crazy! This next week is going to be unbearable! I cant wait to hear from you after your transfer tomorrow!....did they say anyting else about your embies today????

Well, I POAS this morning, and it is POSITIVE!!! I can't believe it. I just keep staring at it. After 5 years of TTC, I've never seen a positive HPT.

We're cautiously optimistic and are looking forward to tomorrow's beta! :D

J&C... Congratulations!! Wow... a BFP!! That's awesome! :D :D :D :D :D

Sorry I have been not posting lately! I had my FET March 19th. Five embryos were thawed to get 4 transferred. I hope this is going to work!! I feel more at ease this time around. BUT I still don't like this 2ww!!

My Beta is 3/31. That's the same as you too Neffi, right?? I'm still contemplating whether to do an HPT next weekend. Are you going to POAS Neffi?? I have to go back to work on the day of my beta and I figured that I would rather prepare myself for the news so that I am not as emotional as I was on my first IVF. Anyone have thoughts on this??

Happy Easter to everyone!!

Hey girls--

Although my news is not nearly as exciting as J&C's, I'm still excited to report that I was able to do a transfer today afterall!! They transferred 2 blasts although there was a 20 minute debate before the transfer--they really only wanted us to transfer one. Tell me we made the right choice (IrishHope...I wish you could have been there to decide for me!!)!! So...the dreaded 2WW begins!! My beta is April 4th (hello...could they make the wait any longer?!?)!

Ann D.: I'm going to POAS before the big call. For me, it'll be easier to take (either way!). It was funny, though. The clinic told me not too!! What are you leaning towards?

Have a nice rest of the weekend eveyone and have a happy Easter!

Cycle buddies in March/April anyone?

Post by angram »

Hi All - lots of family staying with us this weekend, so don't have too much time for personals. Had my b/w and u/s this morning and we're a go to trigger tonight at 7:30 and transfer is Monday at 7:30AM. We have 4 good follies so far, but he's hoping we'll have 5 by Monday. We have a total of 10, but 5 aren't big enough right now. Anyway, we are so excited!

J&C
- Congratulations, that is such wonderful news!!!!

rlk1
- That is awesome, I'm so happy to hear you go to transfer! I also think you made the right decision on 2, maybe they'll be twins :D

Hope you all have a great weekend and I'll post more when my house gets back to normal.
