Neffi - I agree, you should consider yourself pregnant. The lines will get darker and darker over time. An evap line wouldn't have color on it and you wouldn't see it within the first 10 minutes. Try to stop worrying and just celebrate! Your beta tests will confirm everything but at least for now, try to enjoy it! Congrats!

Neffi: Congrats!! How exciting!! I agree with the others--I think it's a definite BFP. I think you can put your mind at ease since you tested with two different brands and got the same results!!! YAYYYYYYY!!

Cycle buddies in March/April anyone?

Post by angram »

Neffi - I would take the faint line and call it a BFP! You are really 13dpER and my RE does a pregnancy test 14dpER, so I think this is great news :D

J&C - Keep the faith, I think your numbers look good so don't stress yourself out. PMA, PMA, PMA

chelly - Yep, all of my meds were covered by this study. My insurance covers $3500 in a lifetime (which was long gone after 9 IUI's) and my DH Is worried about the $$, but my only concern is time. If I have to spend $15K to have a child then fine, it's well worth it to me. I'm just so ready to have a child (or 2 :D ) and I'm a little tired of all the meds and emotional rollercosters.

Got the call last night that our ET is scheduled for tomorrow at 12:30, so we should find out a little before then how our little embies are doing. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the 2 (or possibly 3) have made it these past couple of days and are ready to stick!!

Neffi.... I say enjoy your BFP! I don't know about evap lines, but how is it possible to see a faint line on different HPT brands unless you are actually preggers?? Yipppeee!!! I have not POAS and your last post made me laugh because you said you were going crazy, but I think your news is GOOD NEWS. :D :D

I'm pretty sure I'm going to POAS this weekend. Since my beta is Monday, I just have to prepare myself since I go back to work that day. I don't feel any symptoms except the occasional abdominal pains that are from the PIO shots but I do feel more at ease. I'm trying not to stress out. Keyword is trying.

Ok, so I'm out of my pity party for the moment, and I'm back to a semi-PMA. I'm just praying that that beta keeps going up. Thanks to everyone for the encouragement! :D

rlk - Thanks for the kind words. Cornybaby's story is AMAZING. If anyone wants a good read, go back and read parts of the Feb/March thread. Her story is very inspiring.

Neffi - It sounds like you're pregnant to me!!!! Can't wait to hear the positive tomorrow too. :D

boluwa - My third beta is tomorrow, so we're just praying that the # goes up even more. Thanks for asking! I've never had chest pains through this process. I'd make sure to let your doctor know about it though.

angram - Thanks for the PMA! And good luck with your ET tomorrow. Let us know how you're feeling afterwards.

Hey Ladies!

So I am feeling pretty good about my very faint lines....I had my sister do a Fact Plus test to see what it looked like even an hour later....and NOTHING! So I think even though my positive came a little later....it is positive! I am overjoyed right now! I cant wait to go Monday and have the beta done. I kinda want to call and ask to do it sooner! I wont though. I am hoping for a little darker lone tomorrow!

Rlk1-- how is my 2ww buddy doing????

Ang-- Good luck at ET tomorrow! I will be thinking about you! If there are 3 are you going to transfer all of them?

Boluwa-- I have heart burn today...what are your chest pains like? Are they like heartburn?

J&C-- Im glad you have a PMA! OH I so hope that your number goes up! Its like the worrying never ends!!!!! I have a good feeling about it :D

Chelly-- Yeah we work 7-5...there is no Hyg on fridays...but I work at another office. I work about 46 hrs a week....this is only for extra money until the baby/babies come then I will be working Mon, Tues and Thur.

Ann d-- I totally agree...I could never wait and then find out at work! There is no way I would be able to handle it! Cant wait to hear your + after you POAS this weekend!

So much going on since I was last here. I've had a couple crazy days at work and just got home from a long, long meeting. I've decided not to do the immune testing unless my mom's immunologist suggests otherwise. I spoke with my nurse (she doesn't leave until April). She and my RE explained it is controversial and there is no true scientific evidence. After researching it, I found that most treat with aspirin and prednisone. My RE alwasy uses aspirin and methylpred if ICSI is done. The other tx is IVIG which my mom is having. But, if insurance doesn't cover it it is extremely expensive--like another IVF cycle--and not proven for helping improve chances of IVF!

Neffi-Wow! That's great news. I knew this was your time :) You should celebrate, especially after you confirmed it with your sister's negative!

Chelly-I am in public health too! I had my own practice for 4yrs and sold it to move back to my hometown and start a family. Little did I know how complicated this would all be. I'm actually the director of my clinic, but I did share what I'm going thru with my CEO and my staff. I have to travel to St Louis because there are no REs in my area! So, I miss alot of work during an IVF cycle. Are you comfortable discussing it with your director? If not can you use vacation or sick time?

Angram-Good luck :) Can't wait to hear about your ET!

J&C-keep your PMA. Let us know how the next beta is, but I also think your numbers are still good.

boluwa-How did your appt go? Do you think it is heart burn? This can definitely occur with pregnancy.

ann d, rlk, neffi-you're almost finished with the 2ww!

I finally start my Lupron injections Friday! Can't wait to get started and hope and pray for a BFP :)

Well Ladies my HPT was negative this morning  I dont understand. Even now when I look at it an hour later it still doesnt even have anything. How do you have two days of + and then a - I dont get it! I am so upset! I was reading about the trigger shot, and everything says that it would have been out of my system when I took the first test. I triggered on the 11th and tested on the 26th. Anyway, this is not what I was expecting this morning. I guess I'll see what it looks like tomorrow.

Nefi211 - Don't give up ...I think 15 days after trigger the HCG should be out of your system! I think there is still a big possibility you have a BFP!

Dr. Jen - I had 7 vials of blood drawn yesterday for the blood clotting disorder - my RE said he's not a huge fan of the immune testing either but to ease my fear he thinks the clotting test has some validity so he ordered it...

well we've been thrown a curveball - he is swaying a bit more towards us doing a fresh cycle vs. a frozen - my clinic has a group of REs review each case and their recommendation was to do a new fresh cycle.
Reason being we had our retrieval/transfer and freezing done at another clinic b/c ours had a water pipe break...so my clinic is not 100% comfortable w/ saying the standards used at the other clinic for freezing is up to par so they can't 100% recommend a frozen right now. Ughhhh...here we thought we'd start Lupron Saturday...

We have a call in to speak to the embryologist at the clinic who did our freezing...DH nor I felt strongly either way last night (news was a bit of a shock) but after sleeping on it I am leaning more one way now but will wait to see what the embryologist says ...

anyone have any thoughts/opinions on going frozen now or waiting 4 weeks and going fresh? If the 2nd fresh fails we can do a frozen right away...it's either wait now or wait in June...

hope everyone is doing well - sorry for no personals my boss is here from NYC so I am "short" for time on line...

Hi Team March/April!

IrishHope: Wow, that's a tough one. I guess if it were me, I'd lean towards what the RE recommends. I think I would be constantly second-guessing everything if I went through with the FET after the RE said he felt "uncomfortable" about the way in which the embryos might have been frozen. Also, if it was more than just your RE who recommended a fresh cycle (group consensus was to do a fresh cycle), that might sway me too. On the other hand, waiting a few more weeks is killer. ARGH!! Let us know what you decide!

Neffi: Those HPTs are EVIL!!! I say three positives out of four tests is still a very good indication of a BFP!! What a nightmare this 2WW is. Just a few more days until your Beta confirms everything!!

DrJen: Sounds like there's good reason not to do the testing. Also, it's one less stress--that has to mean something! Lupron on Friday--YAYY!!! Get ready for those crazy moodswings--I became very aggressive.

J&C and Angram: Good luck with everything today. I'm thinking of you both!!

Boluwa: I haven't experienced chest pain either, but as DrJen pointed out, it's probably related to your pregnancy. How are you feeling today?

Ann D: How's the 2WW treating you? I'm so tempted to POAS, but I know how evil they are! What to do....

Nothing new or exciting here. Just wanted to say hi!

Happy Thursday yall!

DrJen- wow, how do you juggle all the stresses of being dental director and clinician and going through IVF?? Fortunately I still have several weeks of vacation & sick time and I think most of my US/BW will be in the early morning, so I think I can fit it all in. I love my current dental director, and she has children so I think she will understand, but gossip runs rampant in our clinics, and I don't want everyone knowing my business. Let me ask you, as director would you want to know what is going on with your providers? I am thinking of telling her I am having some 'medical procedures' done, but not divulging the details. What do you think? I start Lupron April 1st!!!

Neffi- Stay PMA! It's not official until you have your beta, so PUPO! You are nuts for working 46 hours a week!!! I think my hand would fall off if I did hyg like that!

God Bless you all!!
Michele
