Guys..are you all typing expert or have time on ur hand or I am just not too excited..it takes me some time to read ur posts and reply them...anyway catching up again...okay so I got my AF yesterday night..so today is my cycle day 1....
Got a call from my nurse that my test results (tons of blood work+pap) are normal...same as u guys.
Now I will pick up my BCP + labs for more blood work (dont know what tests)so BCP date would be 03-28-08 (Friday).
As far as I know I will only have regular ultrasound and not saline one.
I also will not have any psych. testing.
My cycle will just be like regular IVF with only one change..progesterone gel or ring.

I am feeling very low for this IVF...may be the excitment part will start with the stimulation...I am glad though that majority of the cost is covered by the study.

My history:
ttc since 04
5iui bfn
me 33 dh 37
may-june ivf bfn
august fet bfn
never pregnant b4 nor my husband fathered ny kids.

Lets all pray that we get over this killing bfn thing this time...

Stressbal~ You have been through alot. May I ask why so many IUI's previously? Our previous RE in Colorado was just going to do the lowest cost procedure and work up. Basically he was doing whatever we said without guidance or advice. Our new RE here in Idaho said that with our numbers this is your chance for IUI for IVF and for IVF/ICSI. We didn't have the numbers for IUI or IVF so he recommended for long run saving money and going straight to IVF/ICSI. I just wonder why some doctors just don't tell it like it is first and then leave the money situation up to us. He was more than happy to take more and more money from us in Colorado. Which scares me.

Oh, I am just really dead at work today and not wanting to search while everyone is gone this afternoon. Don't feel bad at all for reading back and getting here that much. Love to hear from you anytime you can..

Hey ladies,

I received an e-mail from the coordinator and she said that the pharmacy made a mistake and she got it all cleared up... Sure enough I am not going to have to pay the $2039.00 in meds after all.

Saturday I got for the mock retrieval and sign consent forms and 1st visit with Dr. I will let you know how that turns out!

Wow, again.....such a lucky person :) Sadly we're part of a select group that is having to front the money for some odd reason LOL Still I guess it's half the price of a regular cycle at my local clinic, so I shouldn't complain....but it would be nice to get in it for FREE.

jngrl~ Awesome price for the meds. NICE.

I am taking Prenatals right now. RE told me to do that with my BCP right now. I took Tylenol (as that is all I can have) for my headaches. Felt better atleast a little bit.

Indieblue ~ Hey glad you found my blog. I haven't heard back from Kyla but that is ok. She may be busy or just stalking the blog. I don't mind either way. She is out of Ohio on the study I think.

Ok, 3 days and I start my injections. SO SCARED. I have me needles class on Monday.

What is your mock RE? Is that when they do the water ultrasoud to see how many eggies you produce on your own?

Is it something different?

I wonder if I should precsription prenatals? Does it matter?

A mock transfer is (from how it was described to me) when they take a catheter and insert it, just as they would for a real embryo transfer. Kind of helps them figure out which way your cervix/uterus is and also tells them what size catheter they'll be using when the embryo transfer really happens :) Mine is set for Thursday of next week :) along with the Saline Ultrasound. Had my 3day testing today, along with that ultrasound...YUCK! I do have a cyst on my left ovary that might hurt my estradiol test results and in that case I'll have to wait till June to begin the cycle :( POOH!

Indie: yep some financial help is also a great help...

JNI: I took tyrenol yesterday for my AF pains and wrote that in the pink diary....what is ur confusion? Also i AM in texas Austin

Karen: The reason we did IUI becoz we did not have any medical diagnosis just the low count...and so doc. thought it was an easy fix...Urs is a first ivf and hopefully last...so the big box of meds would be very scary...but beleive me once the things start moving it will all be very easy...especially the injections part....

Todays update: I went iin for some more blood draw...2 tubes...they will test fsh, estrogen and some other stuff???? and the nurse called too she said that my dh also need infectious screen testing...so here I go take a bcp...and have fun for another two months..oh also Me and DH will take antiboitics 3 in a day...yeeeee....

Yes, but the study protocol says that you can not start BCP with a elevated Estradiol, which cyst seem to do. So I can not start the study until my Estradiol is in check.....if it's elevated due to the cyst I'll have to wait till my April cycle (end of April) and then do day 3 test again....ugghhh!!!! Then not start BCP's till the next cycle which would be the first of June :(

If today's test come back all in the right ranges, I can start BCP's last of April with my next AF :) which is what I really really wanted to do. Just seems like we're stuck in this testing area....and the study is very specific with what you can do, when you can do it...etc. The FSH and Estradiol test had to be sent today to a different lab, so no one called me back :(....guess they'll let me know Monday.

Everytime I go in they ask the same questions for health history too, and I had to have a breast exam today and she had to check me over (like a physical).....very involved.

Stresball ~ Rich and I have to take twice a day meds together for infections that could be passed between us. You are right behind me. You will get your calendar here shortly. I can't wait. Here is to our First IVF and stickin

Indie~ They did a once over for me in the begining when I signed consent forms. I wonder if they forgot here and there on you. So sorry about the cyst. Hoping for BCP end of april.
