regular preg. symptoms - how reliable during FET

Post by motynes »

I was hoping to get your opinion on my wife's situation.

A little history, we had a fresh cycle in July/Aug of last year that resulted in a preg. and we had a miscarriage at week 11. During our first TWW, my wife experience a lot of symptoms such as lots of cm, sore bb's, extremely tired, lots a dreams, cramping on and off and back pain, etc. We got our positive HPT 8dp3dt and continued to get positive HPT until our first beta test. None of the symptoms appeared until after we figure the implant happened.

Well we had numerous issues to get through before we tried our frozen cycle including another surgery.

We had our FET of a 5 day Blast on Good Friday and she started with back aches and cramps last weekend. She has gone to sleep as soon as she got home from work every day last week. Her right BB has been sore all week and tingling nipples. She decided to start HPT on Tuesday after the transfer and got negatives on all HPT's that she's done with the last being Sat. morning (8dp5dt). We decided to stop the HPT's because we were going crazy. Well on the same day her symptoms increased significantly. Both BBs were very sore (right one more so), tired, she gets nuasiated when I make sharp turns in the car, she craves salt (Mexican food- also something she did the entire time she was preg.), cm got worse.

I know all these are side effects of progesterone, but none of these things happened until a day or so after the 5dt even though she had been taking the progesterone for over a week.

Could she be pregnant or do you think these are just side effects of progesterone?

I know that was long, but any guidance would be greatly appreciated/

Mo...it is really hard to know. And you can make yourself crazy wondering. I have always had the same symptoms in the 2ww whether pregnant or not.

Good luck.

I just thought it might be a good sign that the symptoms became more noticeable 8dp5dt. We are still holding out hope.

I really hope that the symptoms mean you guys are going to get some great news soon.

When is the beta scheduled?

Good luck! the 2ww is torture and unless you've been thru it nobody can understand! The symptoms are very "alike" but the only one I"ve seen most get a BFP is the "tingling" nipples...so if that is still going on I'd sway towards a BFP...

Well we got our bfn. Actually we got it on Monday. They had us come in for testing on the estrogen and progesterone levels. We weren't suppose to have our test until Friday. They went ahead and did the Beta without telling us and called us later to tell us to stop taking the meds. Bad week so far.

We are starting another cycle in May with the last week as the tentative retrival.

Thanks for your support

Mo,

I am really sorry to hear your sad news. It is such a tough time for you both.

Best of luck for your next cycle. As they say it only takes one egg. I hope we all get that one good egg soon.
