LOL Chriss, sounds like us. We have to be at the shot class Thursday at 8am so we'll have to leave here at 5:30 at the latest....probably a little earlier since we have to find a parking space..etc. Good luck tomorrow :)

And know that we're not alone, before signing on to do an IVF with this clinic I asked various boards/groups about how far they traveled to their appointments and TONS of people traveled far and wide to get to their clinics for multitudes of reasons (including studies, better success rates...etc).

Praying that it works for both of us this time and we don't have to travel again ;)

Thanks Hope!

Indie, it's going to be worth it for us to make the trip.

Just a quick note everyone, hope that you are well. Just wanted to tell you that hysteroscopy went well. Uterus looks good. No fibroids, etc. New RE was able to get a good look at my anatomy... I have a "challenging" curve to get by when they do the transfers. (We all knew about this, so no surprise) New RE thinks it was part of the previous problems. He got a good look and he feels confident that he can navigate his way. I feel really good about new RE. So all in all a very good day. Thanks for the support and prayers. I am praying for you too. -chriss

Hi Ladies -

Chriss - thinking of you, sweetie. Hoping all went well today and your new RE has got it all worked out!!

Indie - have fun at your shot class tomorrow! travel safely!! Have fun injecting those weird little hunks of blubber! (ewh!) ;)

Sonu - just 8 more days?? Having any symptoms!!? Praying for stickiness for you!!!

Nikki - How you doing, sweetie??? Not too much longer now. Thinking of you!!!

Apdean - Did you have your beta yet?? How are you feeling?? Image

hrobinson - how are you? And the kids?? How are you feeling??

MP/Mia - you are so right, our dh's are so alike! I told him about our 2nd beta numbers today and he was like, "so that's good, right?" - ?!?!!! To his credit, tho, he did say "take care of my babies" when he left for work yesterday and insisted on kissing my tummy this morning before I left for work today. (AWWWW... ) He's talked to them before, but never called them "babies" - always "critters" - yes, my dh calls our embabies "critters" - don't ask. How are you feeling, hon??? M/S ??

kbat - how are you doing? How's the acupuncture going??

Kildean!!! Where are you??!!! We want to hear about your M/S and all the other good baby stuff!!

Hi to everyone else!!! hugs!

We had our 2nd beta today - 3,954! we got our double plus some. :) Go back again on Friday for a 3rd and then U/S next week! Image

Chriss: Glad everything went well! It is great to have an RE that is confident. I wonder how the curve has gotten in the way?? Does he think the embies arent pushed far enough back ito the uterus??

Hope: That is sweet. Yes every now and then dh shows his excitement - it is just not like other dhs I hear about on here who are jumping up and down crying! So happythe numbers doubled!!! That is fantastic!

Indie: yikes 5:30 - my shot class went by so quickly and by the time I did the shots I didnt think I would remember a thing - good thing dh was with me! Before you know it the shots will be so routine!

Hope: weird chunks of blubber??? I didn get to do that at my class - The nurse just explained what to do had a littl fake skin thing that she showed what angle to put the shot in... I want to inject a blubber thing too!!

EVrything is good here - Did I mention how busy I am with this side job I have! I am coordinating a project for one of the school districts and jeez! lots to do! No m/s but I am still awfully picky - dh is being so good about it. I am reserving my tickets for a trip with dh to his home country at the end of May! I am looking forward to it -but sad I wont be able to drink the great wine and go to the saunas!! oh well, next time.

I am super excited that my former accountability partner (who moved away 2 years ago) will be visiting me Friday! She is in the process of adopting from Ethiopia - so we are both going to be blessed around the same time for something we prayed together for!

Ok must finish getting dinner ready!

Hey, don't call my lovely lady humps big hunks of blubber LOL Just joking....do they really have you inject it in to something...gross! My husband gives me my shots....he's such a good husband ;) or maybe he just likes making me feel pain LOL Seriously though, he doesn't mind and I don't mind not having to do them to myself so it works out....I'm glad we've done it before for egg donation, I feel a step ahead in that aspect and I'm not fretting too much about that (thank goodness).

Hope: WOW on that Beta.....great jump!!!

Chriss: Glad you got through the US okay....that's the same as the 'saline ultrasound' right? That's what I'm having done tomorrow. I saw some great ones online, that actually showed dark circles where the tubes came in to the uterus and such....I doubt mine will be so 'interesting' LOL but it's a neat procedure. Be careful if you do a search though, I typed in Saline Vag Ultrasound and it came up with some very sad pictures of a saline ab*rti*n :(, it really turned my stomach....so make sure that you don't click on "pictures" for your search function, just for websites so you can pick and choose which site you want to see pics from. Not that anyone else would want to see another uterus....I'm strange about things like that LOL I even checked YouTube for shot videos (tons by the way) and that made me feel a bit better when I was considering doing the local cycle with PIO shots.

Well, off to bed....gotta get up nice and early tomorrow and shower my big humps of blubber.....hehehe (sorry Hope).

OK, I have to just clarify on the blubber -

We did have little blubbery, rubbery-ish weird little slabs that we practiced the injections with... they actually had us inject the solutions into the blubberiness... the worst part (not that it was bad) but ... there was so much fluid in them from previous injections that they almost oozed... ICK!

They kind of reminded me of those chicken cutlet things some women use as "enhancements" - only bigger.

I knew it was weird, but i figured everyone had them! :) Not nearly as nice as our lovely lady humps! ;) - probably more like mine than yours!!! :)

Have fun tomorrow, Indie, Safe travels!

Chris
Glad to hear your surgery went well. Yes. our BFP is on its way. :)

Hope
Congrats on a massive beta jump!! Continue the trend, huny.

Hope your bumps had a good shower ;)

At my end things are moving very slowly. I feel some stretching, shooting pain for a couple of seconds and nothing for hours. Are these the symptoms?? One more thing, if today is my 8dpt, (I have 2 day blasts), what is the safe day to test?

Praying for strength and direction for everyone here in this journey through IVF.

Sonu -

I dont' know if those shooting pains and then nothing are signs or not, but I had them too.

One thing I did recognize as a sign for me (only cos from my previous pg) was ***SORRY TMI*** that my urine was kind of strong smelling. I don't know if that is true for everyone - I'm sure it's like all the other signs and are unique to individuals.

As far as POAS - I have tested and recieved positives (tho not super dark ones) - on 13 DPO (or for us, 13 DP ER) - Since you did FET and you have blasts - were they 5 day blasts? If so, I think you are on 13 DPO today... But I would certainly wait another day to use FMU (first morning urine).... IF, IF, IF you POAS - For the record, I'm not a POAS pusher! And I'm not urging you do to it, but only offering my opinion as to when I would if I were you - if you are going to do it - simply answering the question!!! ;) :) :)

Oh - and I would use the FRER (First response early response) this early in the game - I tried one that was "compared to" - store brand knock off - and I got a line, but it was not as dark as the one I got on the same day with 2nd MU, with FRER - so stick with the good stuff if you're gonna do it.

Praying for a nice clear pink (or blue) line for you!! Thinking of you!!!!

Hello ladies Well, today was the saline US and OUCH!!! I cramped for hours afterwards Oh and my cyst was still unchanged, she said my uterus was bumpy but they could work with it and she asked me if I bled abnormally, or was on any meds currently other than the iron supplement...ummm NO! Why???? LOL

We did the shot class too, with those blubber things....ICKKKK. They didn't put real meds in them though, just showed us with empty needles. But still, they were strap on things....glad she didn't make me put one on LOL I'll be taking Menopur, Gonal F, Lupron and the trigger shot was something like Norvelle? But we got a hand out on another brand....who knows.

And then the bomb dropped....they had initially told me around 2000-2500 for meds, in addition to the study fees. Well, now it's 3000 for meds....she said 'ballpark' UGGHHHH! I can not come up with money after money. I realize it's cheaper than a regular cycle at a regular clinic but seriously, after the 300-350 for the psych evaluation and the 350 for the male testing (they don't cover Semen Analysis or his blood work!!!!) we're already in to this more than we initially saved up for it. Now hubby is questioning the extra money, along with the transfer (number of embryo's)....so we'll talk it out this weekend (too tired tonight, getting up at 4am has it's side effects LOL)

I'm not sure but I'm going to check around at different pharmacies for the meds, they said that we'll take Lupron, Gonal F and Menopur. Oh and the trigger shot. They only contract with 2 pharmacies and said that the meds would be 'discounted', ummm, most people pay 2500-3000 for meds....how is that discounted LOL

So anyhow, that's my big hurdle for today. After all the test though we stopped by some outlets and had some fun shopping around and walking out those cramps. Then we had a nice lunch together and went back home, still questioning our next step.

We know that if God wants it to be, he will make a way.....just hard to see where all the extra money is going to come from (we do NOT want to put it on a credit card but that's always an option).

So, glad everyone is doing well....thanks for all those prayers and I'll do personals tomorrow. I'm headed to bed :) And yes it's 7pm LOL

Indie -

Sounds like all went pretty well over all today. Sorry you had cramping!!! :(

I don't know which pharmacy they are sending you to - but I do think most everyone averages about $3000 for drugs per cycle.

So you didnt' get out of the psych exam?? Have you done that already or just planning on the $. I know it's a LOT of $$, but this is such an opportunity for you guys!! We've paid around $30K in everything... I know you don't want to put it on the CC, but you are saving a TON of money. I just dont want you to give up on this based on $. God will provide if it is meant to be. Even providing for paying off that CC if that is what He leads you to.

Thinking of you... sleep tight. :) I tried to nap earlier but couldn't... maybe i'll give another try!
