Toilet Paper is out again!

Post by Nikola »

Last time the toilet paper came out I was only about five minutes pg so I decided, bored of being told I look like a beached whale  I'd take the scientific test and find out if I'm ok compared to everyone else!

I officially measure 8 sheets (of white andrex) toilet tissue! I asked my dh to guess how many sheets he thought I'd used and he said 25!! I'm beginning to suspect he is just being mean to me!!!

Let me know how many sheets you all measure - especially my old SCBs! Wibbs, please tell me you are at least the same!!!!

8!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! how mean would your dh be to me, I measure 7 and I am only 12 weeks pregnant (with twins)
I thought I was growing quite a bit, a girl at work is 22 weeks pregnant, with 1, and smaller than me. At least it keeps me slightly positive that things should be okay and something is growing in there.

Lets see your measurements everyone

Hi Ya

YEHP.....I'm 8 sheets of Charmin, but I have to say it's all out front. :o
Told dh you are the same, but carring twins, he said it's all those Fat A**ed danish's I keep eating.

Saw the midwife yesterday and she said all is well, correct size for 20 weeks blood suger ok and pee pee sample, heartbeat strong, told her about the brackston hicks i'm getting already, but she assures me this is quite normal, some people feel them more than others, (luckey oh me :? )just becareful and rest when I get tired.

I Love being like this anyway when I start taking up all the loo roll I will worry.....until then i'm enjoying my bump

Val, come on how many sheets......!!!!!!???????
Take care

 I measured myself with a tape measure last night (it's no longer economical to do the loo roll test) and I measured 46 inches (OMG)!!! Mind you, I only have a week to go,

Girls, Girls, Girls.

Lets be clever about this and economical at the same time.

Set aside a full toilet roll and just use it for measuring and roll it back up. When you measure each week or month or whatever write on the paper where you have got to with the date etc and at the end of the pregnancy what a lovely keepsake to have and put in a box with all the other bits I know we all are collecting for our baby's special keepsake box. No loo roll ever be wasted again! Hands up who thinks it's a good idea

Oh my god what is happening to me? If my DH reads this post he will have me gagged and bound!

It is just a suggestion. I think I need to buy a bigger baby box though :!:

Yes, sorry its 8! Well just under.

What do you think of the idea? Probably best not a full roll like I suggested but half a one. It wont take up so much room in the box.

9 sheets of Andrex at nearly 21 weeks!
Dagny - have you lost the plot altogether now? What do you think your son or dughter will think of you when you hand over their baby box and in it is a loo roll with dates marked on it? lol.

Hi Di

Well, my daughter would think it is a really sweet idea or my son would probably find it useful in his student accommodation when he has run out............. Oh my goodness, yes you are right I think I may be starting to lose the plot. I still haven't returned to work and I am so bored at home my mind is turning into mush

I still like my idea though it's novel and I bet no one else has got one in their baby box. Maybe I should patent it!

Ok I've finished and I am going to go.

Dagny

I think its time you returned to work!!! You are seriously going loopy staying at home. Are you going back?

I'm glad our little experiment has proved I'm not a big fat bloater, in fact if anything I'd say I was quite tidy. DH is now insisting that I show him the toilet paper go all the way round because he thinks it must have come apart without me realising - he is mean!

I had a sneaky go with the white andrex yesterday - have a new roll waiting for this one to run out - DH hates being without and gets a spare out about 2 weeks early - honestly! so I unstuck the first bit and it is 7 for me - ok at 9 weeks and 2 days???!!!!
Are we all using the same brand - I mean are they standard - we do all need to sing off the same hymn sheet or should I say toilet sheet - sorry

Dagny, I've been thinking of you and your loo roll and I reckon its an idea worth marketing - you could have baby designs on stronger loo rolls that aren't fully perforated so don't tear easily. And at the start of the roll you could have a part for details such as your name, EDD etc and then at the end there could be another details part for the babies name, D.O.B, WEIGHT ETC!!

Hi Di

You know that idea is great. I was also thinking along those lines only it was a kind of baby tape measure with the usual measurements as well as places to write things like dates, weights and stuff like that with pictures of bears or rabbits etc. It started off as a bit of a laugh but now I think I may be onto something!

Watch this space!!!!!!!

Hope you are well and everyone else is too.

I was laughing the other day reading this thread and i thought i would try it well either i am really fat (lost 6 pounds since became pg) or i am doing it wrong because i am nearly 9 sheets of andrex. My dh and my sister were in stitches when i told them about it.
I have to agree with Dagny that i will keep the toilet roll and keep marking it as i think it will be a nice thing to keep i have a whole shoe box full of things like that from the past 3-4 years so it might be nice to get a bigger box and start afresh.
