Colleen--love the video! It's so neat to see them learn! I love how he can entertain himself so well. That's awesome!

I have one more week before break. It's a weird schedule this year...so far from EAster. I am taking tomorrow off, though. I'm taking the kids in for their 9 month pics. Should be interesting....

love thew pictures... where did you get them done?? they are so cute... i had gavins done, and was not that thrilled... oh well i loved the black background, and have never thought that they would look that good..

we are ok here .. the kids are crazy because they are on break, and we are getting snow... i'm so done with the snow!! i've had two play dates this week... one was great the other was not so great.... just a completly different type of parenting... my 6yo ds has a sleep over tonight, then we are doing chuck e cheese tomorrow... call me crazy..

gavin is eating more, and i've thrown in more food at night, he is sleeping a little better, but still up typically twice... but that is better. He has started to put himself to sleep... before he almost always fell asleep while nursing.. now i can lay him down and he'll go to sleep, so that is good..

well take care

Colleen--you are a brave woman! 2 playdates, a sleepover, and chuck-e-cheese? You're ready for them to go back to school, I bet! My break starts on Monday....can't wait!

We got the pics done at portrait innovations. They have locations nationwide. We've had pics done there at 3, 6, and 9 months. 3 and 9 went well. 6 was a nightmare, but it was Xmas time, so I'll cut them some slack!

gotta run...I have tons to do tonight.

Hello All!

Sorry I have been missing. I have been working so hard on school and getting a new job. Add to that, my "job" as the director of the BSA's two week day camp and I have very little down time. I will try to catch up on the posts, but I will need a little time. I am glad to see we are still active despite we are all getting busier with our mobile angels.

Makayla is now walking on her own and even trying to run. She is talking some too. She says mum and da when she wants one of us, but that is it. Everything else is just grunts and screams. She is getting so big. Her last appointment (about a week ago) she weighed 18.5 lbs and was 28" tall. She is getting so big and I am really missing her baby stage.

I will be getting new pictures soon. We have just been so very busy.

I hope everyone is well and had a great Easter.

Glad to see the thread is still active altho looks like it is Kim and Colleen keeping it alive!

Kim- Hope you are now enjoying your break and get to relax a little.

Colleen- glad Gavin is sleeping better for you. Hope your taking care of yourself.

We are well, altho things are mad at our house as we are having an extension done at the back of our house. Everything is messy and dusty! Have a lovely temporary kitchen at the mo! Will be moving out to my parents probably beginning of next week when they knock thro to my dining room. Keen to get it completed before Joshua starts crawling, altho think we are still a little way off from this yet. He just rolls every where but with no control.
Joshua is still a good baby but he has been up most nights for the last 2 weeks. Really hoping its just teeth last night he was up for 2 hours but after Calpol seemed to do the trick in the end! He is also not quite as portable as he was and I find he really needs a good long sleep in his cot at least once a day.
I have just been looking into professional photographs today as have one of DD on the wall when she was about 7 months so really would like one of Joshua as well but cannot afford the prices we paid when we had the ones of DD!

Hope everyone else is getting on well. Cannot believe were the time is going too. This time last year we were all waiting expectingly for news of births!

hi there girls... glad to see a few have checked in and are doing well... we are good here... can not beleive that we had snow today.. nothing to measure, but snow in april... I WANT SPRING...

casy- good to hear thatjoshua is doing good, and getting around by rolling... soon he'll be going going and going... has DD adjusted well to having him around? hope that you can get some photos done, maybe you'll be able to find something cheep... if i had the money, i'd get them done all the time... i did tell DH that i'm going to get some good ones done for his first bday... does joshua have any teeth yet, or is he working on his firsts... good luck on the house, and moving in with the parents.. hopfully it's not to long of a stay...

rachael-good to hear that you and makayla are doing well.... and sounds like you are really busy... good to hear that she is walking and trying to run... how many skinned knees have there been? it's hard when they want to go fast, but their legs can not keep up... Gavin is trying to talk... he says mamama and ddd for dad.. he also does a clicking sound... which we were really glad that he can do because there was concern when we found out that he was tongue tied.. he had the procedure done as an infant, so now it looks like there will not be trhe problems with his tounge.. altho he does have a short tongue i hope that it does not impare with his speech.... but as i was saying, he clicks when he wants milk/to nurse... it's cute..

kim-chuck e cheese was ok... there were so many people there that there was a line to get in... the kids had a blast, and i had to completely sanitize them when we got out... there are so many germs... kids are back in school and i'm back on my schedule... kind of nice... hope that you are enjoying your break, and having fun with the kiddos.. there is no portrait innovations near us... i think that i'm going to fork out the $ and do celeberity kids for his 1 year...

well, kids are up from nap... hope that everyone has a GREAT week.. and enjoys your babies

Glad to hear from you girls, Racheal and Casey!

Racheal, I'm always amazed at Makayla! She's like super baby! It sounds like you're back to your very busy self...reminds me of when you were preggers....take care of yourself! We miss you around here.

Casey--Good luck with the renovations. Sounds like it'll be great when it's done. I hope it goes well living with your parents. I know what you mean about naps, though. Mine HAVE to have a good nap at home, or else I pay the price....We dealt with the night wakings too. We've been better for a week, but I think more teeth are on their way, so I have to brace myself!

Colleen--I don't blame you for springing $$ for one year pics. It only happens once! I'm currently trying to figure out what I want to do for the first birthday party. It'll be here before we know it! What are the rest of you gals doing in that area?

As for us, we have two VERY mobile babies. Braeden is crawling up a storm, and Ellie is cruising everywhere. She's so adventurous! They're both talking a lot more. It was too funny last night. We went out to eat with my parents, and the babies were sitting across from each other. They were having their own CONVERSATION! I swear! They just babbled back and forth and laughed with each other. It was too cute. I was hitting myself for not having the camera to tape it. I hope to get another chance here soon...

As for my spring break, the weather's been the pits. Today was the first chance we had to go to the park. They LOVED the swings!

Hello Everyone.... ok so I lied again - I said I would check in more frequently and I haven't... sorry girls.

Well it sounds like everyone is moving right along these days! I can't believe that last year at this time we were creating the list of who we thought was going to deliver first... boy how time flies!

Kim - I'll be thinking about you this Friday and keeping my fingers and toes crossed that everything turns out fine. Hopefully DH is taking some time off to help you w/ the twins. Please keep us posted... Also glad to hear the twins are doing so well... getting bigger, crawling, talking, etc. And did I mention adorable... they are precious!

Colleen- Glad to hear Gavin is doing well also... hopefully he'll continue to sleep better for you - maybe he'll start to only get up once - that would be amazing I'm sure. Gavin's video is adorable... it's so cute that he knows how to drive the truck on the wall!

Rachael - it's so good to hear from you again... sounds like your back to your busy old self again. Wow Makayla is walking already... that's great news. Try to stop back in and keep us posted if you can... we love hearing from you.

Casy- it's also good to hear from you... glad to hear that Joshua is doing well. Good luck w/ the extension on your house - living with your parents. Please keep us posted.... we love hearing from you too.

Nicola- it's also great to hear from you... I'm glad jack is doing well and shuffling all around. Please keep us posted on all of his updates!

Well lots has been going on with us since the last time I wrote... Aubrey has managed to get MRSA yet again - on the day of her Easter bunny picture (which she loved) last month she woke up with a small pimple on her chin (or at least that's what we thought it was). A few days later it got much worse - turned red and purple in color. We ended up having to bring her into the pediatric surgeon (the same one who saw her in the hospital when she was only a few weeks old) to have it drained. He literally had to cut a small hole in her chin and drain all the bacteria out... because he did this after hours in his office DH & I had to hold her down while this was happening.... one of the hardest things I've had to do so far. Thankfully it is all cleared up now... but we did find out that since she has already had it she is more likely to get it again... great! Now I have become the sanitizer queen! She is using a special body wash and has a special ointment that we have to insert in her nose twice a day.... we have to do these things for the next few days! I tell ys if it's not one thing it's another.... poor little girl. Besides that we're doing great... eating like a champ, cruising all around and talking up a storm. We now wave bye-bye - say baba, dada & mama - when asked where the ceiling fan is we point to it - we also can do Aubrey Is So Big!!!!!! She is learning so much.... we can also point out all the duckies & doggies in our books.... it brings a tear to my eye every time she does something special. We're also in the final stages of planning our 1st B-Day. It is going to be an Abby Cadabby Themed Party... she is the new princess on Sesame Street. Aubrey has a tutu to wear... she's going to kill me when she grows up - oh well!

Well back to the grind - work that is! I'm so glad that everyone is doing well... I'll check back more frequently... I promise!

Love Ya,
Tasha

hi there girls good to hear from those of you who we haven't in a while...

kim- we'll be thinking of you, and hope that things go well on friday... you'll be in our prayers... how are the two kiddos doing... ellie attempt to walk on her own... gavin took his first steps... do they "talk" to each other all the time... it's funny to see how twins can communicate without even real words.. glad that they loved the swings.. we were out all weekend.. it was in the 60's we took a bike ride, he loved it. we played on the swings. loved it... he was glad to be outside.. altho i was hoping that he would sleep better with all the fresh air, but not!!...

tasha-good to hear that aubreyis doing better... sorry about the mrsa... did they test her to see if she is colonized?? i know that there are people that have it, and get the infections with a open cut.. he party sounds great... i just ordered Gavin's invites... i got them at snapfish, and love the photo invites... we are doing the cars and trucks things... as he LOVES anything with wheels... he sat on the outside of his wagon and played with the wheels for the longest time... sounds like aubrey is doing well, it's amazing to see them learn, and grown so much every day..

nicola- jack is on the move... it just goes from there... the black and white canvas sounds wonderful.. i've always wanted to do that, just afraid of the cost... maybe i'll get all my boys together..

we are doing good... Gavin took his first steps, and is a very determinded child... he wants what he wants... he is also the most smiley kid around... he always has a HUGE smile... he gets his big mouth from me... i started getting his b-day stuff , and order his invites... i got them at snapfish, i love the photo invites, but they did not have a huge choice... we are going to do the cars trucks thing.. as he loves anything with wheels.. just loves to play with cars....

we got nice weather this past weekend, now they are talking that we might get flurries....come on already..

well, take care all

Yeah I got a notification of a new post.... very exciting! So now that gives me no excuse to stay gone forever....

Colleen - no they didn't test her to see if she is colonized... I'm going to call her doctor and ask them about that right now. Also I saw your message about taking Gavin to Celebrity Kids for his 1 year photos... so I checked them out. I think we are taking Aubrey there for her photos - they look like they do amazing work. Have you gone there before? If so which photographer did you have? I think we're going to also do a family photo while we're there. Maybe we'll run into each other... since their B-Day's are only a day apart!!!! Glad to hear your doing well... Aubrey is cruising around the furniture but hasn't taken any steps on her own yet - hopefully soon. She also loves to swing at the park.. it's so cute to see her light up every time she swings. Well sounds like Aubrey & Gavin have a lot in common - they are both smiling all the time... Aubrey is just the happiest baby, which helps for first time parents. Yeah I heard flurries this weekend too.... no way! I can't go from wearing my flip flops to gym shoes now...

PS - Gavin is a little ham... so adorable!

I hope the rest of you girls are doing well...

tasha-i got notified too....

the neighbors took their son there for his 1st b-day, and said it was wonderful... she had cathy.. there is also a $35.00 coupon on their website for the sitting fee... so print that out... the pictures take a week to get, but they said that they were great... i'm going to ask for giftcards for there for his b-day, as they are not cheep... as i have SO MANY boys toys... i really do not need another ride on toy to save my life.. i'm sure he'll get enough stuff.. I think that we are going to do a family photo too.
i'm going to try and limit the amount that i spend... but i love photos and have a hard time saying no...

i love that they are smile all the time... you'll have to post a photo so we can see how big she's getting...

i can not put the sandals away... i got a couple of cute new pairs... my 6YO ds has a soccer game on saturday... it is susposed to be so cold... it's his first game so wanted to go... but do not think that Gavin will enjoy that too much...

well, have a Great day... and maybe we'll be able to get together some time this summer..

Yeah, I got notified!!!!

Nicola, has he figured out the crawl yet? It's so fun to watch them try to figure these things out....the fun is just beginning for ya!

Tasha--I remember you talking about flip-flops last spring! Time flies, huh? Glad to hear that Aubrey's infection is better. I hope you can keep that away! She sounds like a very bright little girl! Pointing at things....mine aren't doing that at all. I'm with ya on the cruising...Ellie and Aubrey would cruise together! I better work on that pointing stuff--ha ha! Thanks for the words about my surgery. DH will have to basically "take over" for a couple days, which is hard, because we own our own business, and this is the busiest season. Some of our family will be coming over to help out periodically, so he can deal with calls, etc. I think the hardest part for me will be "NOT" picking my kids up! :( Your party theme sounds cute! It'll be here soon, won't it!

Colleen--Yeah for Gavin!!! First steps, wow! Watch out now, mama! I love his pics on the bucket. He's a cutie patootie! The fresh air didn't help him sleep? I'm so sorry....it's gotta happen soon, you deserve a restful night! Are you still bfing? Is he still getting milk at night? His party sounds cute too!

As for us, I'm trying to get things ready for the weekend and my surgery. I have to take Friday and Monday off work, so I'm dealing with sub plans. I also want to get the grocery shopping, etc. done before Friday, so that our helpers (and I) have food over the weekend! I'm a little nervous about the surgery because I don't want to lose my ovary. I'm hoping that things will be okay down there...

The kids are doing great! They are babbling more and more each day! I keep trying to video their dinner conversations, but when they see the camera come out, they stop and watch me! They also like to "talk" more when I step out of sight--like they think I can't hear them! Braeden is a speedy crawler now. I'm planning on taping "baby races" soon! Ellie loves to "find mommy"...I crawl and hide, and she comes and finds me and then CRACKS up! Braeden is working hard at pulling himself up. He gets soooo close, but I usually have to give his tush a little boost. We still have 2 teeth each, but I think more are coming. I haven't planned their party yet, but I have three options: 2 peas in a pod, an American flag theme (their b-day is flag day), or THE DOG theme. THE DOG is an ABC book that my kids adore! It's got really funky photos of dogs doing different actions. They pull it out of our book bin everyday for me to read!

Hope the rest of you are well. I wish we'd hear from some of our other long lost friends....we're near the year mark. We need updates!

Oh, on a funny aside...I was cleaning all my maternity/fat clothes out of my closet yesterday to make room for some smaller and warmer weather clothes....I was SHOCKED at how big some of those pants were! Then DH pulled out some old photos of my at the end of my pregnancy....OH DEAR GOD!!!!!! I've been working really hard to lose those last 10 pounds, so he was trying to cheer me up. I have to say, it worked! I can't believe how big I was!

Hello Girls....

Colleen - thanks for the info on the coupon - I just called and made our appointment for Sunday the 25th - however, since we get out of work early the Friday before Memorial Day I might change it to that Friday - this way I can use the coupon. I'm thinking of doing a casual summer look for our family photo - maybe jeans and colorful shirts w/ no shoes.

Kim - how did your surgery go? I hope everything is ok.... all of those themes sound fantastic for the twins 1st B-Day.... I hear ya about cleaning out the closet - talk about fat clothes... yuck! However, deep down inside I miss being pregnant.... hopefully by next year at this time we'll be doing it all over again.

I hope the rest of you girls are all doing well....

Tasha

PS - I'll post a few new pictures in a few minutes.
