GHOST - pregesterone question

Post by efoy72 »

frantically seeking signs....I am 7 days past FET of 1 5AAA 6 day hatching blast (sounds like a Starbucks order). I am on crinone suppositories. i had my e&p levels tested today and they said to leave everything as is. my progesterone is 17. does that sound like what it is supposed to be at? i kow there is no way to get an indication of pregnancy based on this info., but do you have any feedback, besides chill out and wait for the beta you impatient spastic woman?

thanks.

Nicely put. I might make that my signature... Just kidding.

A progesterone of 17 would be acceptable at my clinic, although it's getting a little close to our lower threshold of 15, so the docs might up the dose. But some clinics use a threshold of 10, and you're well above that.

On the other hand, you are on Crinone, which is supposed to work more directly on the endometrium, regardless of blood levels. In other words, your serum levels might be less relevant anyway because you are on Crinone. We tend to use the injections at this point, so our blood levels are more critical, since the blood is the only way the pregesterone will get to the endometrium from the injection site. Crinone seems to be effective by all accounts I've seen, and it has been around a long time.

No worries. Good luck and keep us posted.
