Here's my story...I'm going to be 39 in July and we have been trying IVF since last June. Our 4th attempt will be in July. Here is my history...

In JUne '07 I had a FSH of 16, they put me on birth and it went down to 12. Cycle profuced 9 eggs, 4 fertilized only one made it to tranferr - BFN
In October '07 FSH is now at 10, cylce produced 15 eggs, 12 fertilized, three 8-cell, grade 1 emmbies transferred - BFN

February 2008 FSH is at 4.7, cycle produced 8 eggs, 7 fetrilized, 4 tranferred: 9, 8 ,7, 6 cell all grade 1-2. BFN
We are trying one last time with COrnell before exploring donor eggs. I also started Accupuncture the third time but only fit in 3- 4 treatments.
My problem seems to be implantation. My Estrogen level plummeted after transfer.
PLEASE any advice, positive reinforcement, stories, etc. are welcomed!!
IVF Attempt #4 - Need Feedback
Hi Jennifer,
My initial problem was male factor, but after 2 IVF's & 2 FET's all turning up BFN, my MD speculated that maybe it was an implantation problem. Each fresh IVF I seemed to respond well, made a ton of eggs, etc. So I got tested for everything under the sun: biopsy to find hidden infection, blood work looking for clotting disorder or an autoimmune disorder. They found nothing -which was pretty discouraging. But, then MD theorized that maybe the lupron was suppressing me too much forcing them to put me on too high a dose of stim meds for me, which for me was causing my uterus to be irritable. That, and even with the valium I would get really, really nervous before the ET. So he told me I had to do acupuncture right before the ET(within an hour) and also changed my protocal to a microdose lupron cycle.
The microdose cycle was SO much better. I had far less bloating & made even more eggs(I think 23, can't really remember). The combination of the microdose with the acupuncture really worked for me. I also made a point of meditating everyday & really got into aromatherapy. I know it sounds silly, but it helped to keep my stress level lower.
Anyway, I want to wish you the best of luck. I had almost given up hope and now I'm over 20 weeks prego with a little boy.

I'm about to start #2, and I've been doing Chinese med & acupuncture for 2 months to prep. ( twice a week, and herbs) I can't recommend it enough with a TCM doctor who specializes in fertility.
I feel amazing & my FSH just dropped to the lowest in 3 yrs.
Take a look at my post...TCM for women over 35.
I'm not pregnant yet, but my feeling was to do this wholeheartedly so i would know i did everything I could.

IVF #2 BFP chem IVF #3 clinic dosing error so had to switch to IUI, BFP!! A Boy!

i swear by acupuncture immediately before and immediately following the transfer. and with a person that specializes in fertility if possible. also, not sure if you are a spiritual person, but i prayed my fanny off and asked everyone i knew to pray for me too. and i may be putting the cart before the horse but i think i am pregnant (2nd time) and we took a gamble with only 1 embryo in the freezer. visualize it happening before you even start, see yourself with your baby, try to be as positive as you can, and when doubt creeps in come up with some chant to get it out of your head. i know that sounds corny and cliche but try it....it only takes one little fighting embryo and your positive thoughts may be just what the dr. ordered. good luck!!!! and if you post a message on this board around the time of transfer asking for prayer i will pray for you too!
