YAY Sonu...congratulations!!!

So happy for you, will you have another Beta next week before the US? I know some doctors do more than one Beta (with the study I'm in they actually do it every week for a while). Anyhow, I'm so happy for you.....I can not believe how many BFP's this thread has! Praise God!!!

Oh and on the note of being pregnant and what to do....well just listen to your body. Eat healthy, take your vitamins and don't do anything dangerous :) And no extreme exercise either....now's not the time to join a gym or start marathon training :) Bottom line....take care of yourself, pamper yourself and your baby :) while he/she is in there. Love every minute of it!!!

Wel, ladies, there's so much positivity around here and we are al truly blessed.

However, my lining check didn't go so wll this morning. After adding more estrogen and acupuncture and waiting another week my lining was unchanged. So, it looks like this cycle will be cancelled. I need to read the small print of my shared risk program though because if we're paying for this cycle I think I might try to convince the doc to go ahead with the transfer with a sub-optimal lining. What do you all think??? Do you think thats potentially just throwing embryos away?

Nikki - I'm so sorry to hear your lining still isn't cooperating. :( I don't really know exactly how important the lining is, so I can't give you an answer about whether to proceed or not... I do know that I haven't had any frozen embies... and they say that only 80% survive the thaw. If you can wait and do it later, I think I would aim for that route. I don't know about your shared risk program, but ours doesnt' count if they don't perform the actual procedure. I mean, other than checking your lining, what have they lost?? You paid for the meds separately, right?? They haven't even touched the embies yet, so no embryologist to pay for that... I don't know, but I hope it doesn't count and you can try again next month. Thinking of you sweetie... Praying God sends you much comfort and peace.

Hi to all my other sisters out there...

Thinking of you and praying for you daily.

Just a quick update on me.

Please pray for my little bean this weekend. I called the nurse this morning because I had two sharp pains, one last night and one this morning, out of the blue. She said she can't do anything because there isn't any constant cramping or spotting present. She said all we can do is wait. And try to relax. I am trying, and praying that God will give me the strength I need to release my concerns and worries into His care, but I am having a hard time. I can't help but remember the last time, when I didn't have any sharp pains, or cramping or spotting, either...

Side note, it's probably just regular m/s, and I should be grateful for it, but my nausea has turned into true blue vomitting. :(

Please pray that I can give this up to Him and let Him carry the burden. He KNOWS how my little one is doing and whether or not she/he will survive...and why. I know that worry is sinful and that it does no good, in fact, can be quite harmful. God is in control... !!!!!

I am also heading into what might be a uncomfortable (at best) situation. We have my DSSs (all 3) this weekend and the middle one (14) who is filled with anger and rage due to his parents divorce (12 years ago) is being nasty and hateful to my DH on the phone and is expecting to be driven to his lacrosse games (1 tonight, 1 tomorrow) 1 hr away. His mother is making things worse, (unfortunately, as usual). Based on experience, when we don't take him to the games (if he doesn't provide a heart-felt apology for his rudeness), then we are likely to see more nastiness. Not exactly a great situation... especially when trying to avoid stress. :(

Please pray for him as well... he is a very confused and angry child. I feel so badly for him, but all of our efforts and attempts to help thus far (me for 6 years, his dad forever) seem to have been in vain. He won't give up the anger (which I personally feel is toward his mother due to her behavior, but is redirected to his dad & me). It's very sad. We have taken him to two counselors which help temporarily, until his mother pulls him out.

Anyway, sorry for this long post about me... I appreciate you guys and i know how strong the power of prayer is. I thank you from the bottom of my heart in being such strong prayer warriors for all of us. God is Good and He blesses us in so many ways... and He doesn't give us more than we can handle... Praise Him!

Thanks Hope.....good advice. My Dh and I have been thinking about it and both agree we want to give the babies the best possible chance of living, so if having a lining thats 1mm too thin makes a big difference in the outcome then we should probably wait. Still waiting to hear what the doc has to say........Dr Schoolcraft is out of town so it'll be a doc who doesn't know me.

Isn't it about time for Alisha's US? Did I miss it already LOL

Hope: Sorry about your morning sickness :( I had it for 6 months and it was bad :( I hate to throw up....and I usually can mentally make myself not get to that point but M/S was rough. Praying that my AMA will help me out with that LOL...although I doubt it. Praying that your cramps go away too....those sharp pains can be scary but you are stretching and growing in different places so lots of sharp pains and muscle soreness is to be expected. I'm glad it's not a constant pain though....I'm sure if your nurse was concerned they would see you back in the office :) try to hand it over to God (although that's hard to do).

Nicaliw: I think that the lining is pretty important, although I've heard of women who transfer within 1mm or so and come out with a BFP...so I'll say to pray about it and go with that :) Wanting to be pregnant does some crazy things to our decision making process. People transferring 5+ embryo's, going through with an IUI although there are too many mature follicles....lots of people take chances after a failed cycle or multiple failed cycles...some have good outcomes and some don't change. So again, I'm not sure what I would do. Is there a reason they are giving you for not gaining that 1mm? I mean...will you have this problem next month too or does your lining normally measure up? If you naturally have a thinner lining...it might never be 8mm? I know that she measured mine last week and it was 6-7mm....she didn't give an exact measurement, so right there is a difference of 1mm. I was thinking, doesn't it have to be more precise? LOL I've even read some that say from this angle it's 6mm and from that angle it's 7.5mm....so again, who knows if that 1mm would make a substantial difference.

Sonu: Hmmm, not sure when you're supposed to count the due date from. Wait...I found this:
http://www.ivf.ca/calcu.htm and this:

http://www.amazingpregnancy.com/pregnan ... s/497.html

On the calculator, someone on another board noted that you have to ignore the first day of your last AF unless it was exactly 14 days before ER. The calculator figures 40 weeks of pregnacy, based on a AF cycle that is 28 days, with ovulation on day 14. For IVF, ER is the same day as ovulation so you can input your ER day as the ovulation date, or count 2 weeks back from ER for your Last Menstrual Period. Oh and that poster also said that if you count back 2 weeks from ER date, use that date when giving your regular OB your LMP date....because giving them your 'real' LMP or AF date will confuse their calculators anyhow and give you another due date all together LOL

Ok Nic...I may sound immature to you, but for certain things in life we don't have an answer and we depend on HIM entirely. In such situations I write YES and NO on two separate notes, fold it and pray to God and pick up one note...and....there I go.....I have my answer from HIM all the time. Just try it. The basic logic behind this is that, all our thoughts are a part of this cosmos...its all here...we just have to connect with it. You will get an answer whatever is best suited for you. My prayers and love for you. Thanks for the wishes.

Hope...This is the most difficult time of the pregnancy when YOU MUST STAY STRONG AND POSITIVE. Every second of every hour, the thought that 'THIS IS GOING TO WORK THIS TIME' should be on your mind. And believe me everything will be just fine. I am praying for your DSS as well....but
STAY STRONG AND POSITIVE and Remember GOD is watching us all the time.

Indieblue...thanks for that lovely piece of information. I want to crown you as the SCHOLAR of our board!! I am very very bad at mathematics but this equation must be solved.

Mia...Very soon you will be realxing with your DH while vacationing. And yes...Congratulations on completing 12 weeks...:D

Chris...In this hussle bustle I forgot to ask you about your mock transfer, how was it? hope it didn't pain much.

Ladies...sending my prayers and love to you all and once again thankyou for all the prayers.

Glad the link helped....and you'll be able to figure out the due date of your baby :)

And yes...Chriss???? How was that Mock? Don't tell me a breeze...I already feel like a baby for cramping through mine LOL

Sonu: Loving the Yes/No decision making....I once used an 8 ball to cement the decision I'd pretty much already made....it agreed with me LOL so that was nice.

Well, my nurse called and said since my lining is just borderline the doc recommends cancelling and trying again but we can go ahead if we wish. He said our chances will be reduced by only 10% if we go ahead. So, my Dh and I have decided to go ahead and take our chances.....so the FET is scheduled for April 18th, only one week away and who knows, maybe some more raspberry leaf tea and acupuncture will add more thickness in the meantime?......YAY

I didn't do the yes/no thing you suggested sonu but now I'm kinda curious but scared to in case the answer is no. Well, either way, we know the chances of this one working are slim......but its still a chance. I plan on praying my bottom off. Any help with additional prayers are greatly appreciated! :D

Nic...Now that you have taken a decision, there's no need for that yes/no thing, but I know the answer...it was going to be YES. We all here believe in the power of prayers. We will pray for you, nic...just go ahead with it.

Praying for nic's IVF miracle!!!

Nic--I think you made the right decision. You've come this far and if your chances are reduced by 10%, I think it's still worth a shot. I will pray for you.

Hope--sorry to hear about your morning sickness. hope you start to feel better soon.

Sonu--CONGRATULATIONS!!!! SO HAPPY FOR YOU

Hey ladies,

Sorry I have not posted in awhile, I have been real busy with work, anyways I had an early ultrasound last Tuesday due to spotting, which only lasted two days, everything was okay, it was to early to see a heartbeat, so I am scheduled this Monday for the real ultrasound!! I'm just so hungry all the time!! I'm praying for no morning sickness.
