Hi all--

So...this will be a bit shmoopy but I just wanted to say how much I appreciate all of you. Sometimes I feel closer to you guys than my "real" friends. Do you know what I mean? I think it's because we've all been through so much and can give each other support that others can't. Okay, sorry for that. It was on my mind!!

Suzhan: How are you holding up? So they said you might have an ectopic too? Are you in pain? I hope you know how much I'm thinking of you and how sorry I am you have to endure this. Good things will come from here on out.

Angram: You have such a great attitude. That's so great that you'll have a girls' weekend this weekend to take your mind off of everything. How fun! How are you doing today?

J&C: YAYYYY!!! How exciting!! That's such great news!! Do you feel more relaxed now (more comfortable with the pregnancy)?

Ann D.: Congrats on your numbers and pregnancy!! YAY!!! I know exactly what you mean about not feeling excited. I feel too scared about everything that I haven't been excited yet either. I wonder if I'll ever feel confident about things. In fact, I'm such a freak that I haven't even scheduled my u/s yet. I'm supposed to have one next Friday but I'm so scared of what they'll see (or won't see). Ugh. I think if I had a "normal" route up to this point that I wouldn't be so worried. Actually, who am I kidding, I worry about EVERYTHING!!! Anyway, enough about me (am I conceited or what?!?). What day is your u/s?

IrishHope: How frustrating!! Can they give you something to force AF to come (like Provera)? It is so amazing to me how AF NEVER cooperates. When we want her to come, she doesn't. When we don't want her to come, she does. What is that all about?!? I really hope it comes soon for you.

Nicaliw: How are things with you? Is your appointment today to see how things look for your FET? I really hope it goes through without a hitch.

Hi to everyone else!! Have a great rest of the day!

Welcome Kimberly! I know catching up is hard, I've been here from the start and I have a hard time keeping up......mostly because there are sometimes 2 days or so that I can't check messages. We're gald you're hear to share your journey with us!

RLK, I know how you feel, I totally rely on this message board as a major part of my support system. When I have a quite moment I love to check in and often get such joy or such sadness when reading others happy or sad news. It really helps to know other people are going through the same thing.

Irish. and Neffi..how frustrating it is wating for Af to arrive. I don't have any words of wisdom except maybe try drinking ginger tea, it worked for me. I hope Af is here soon so you can start moving forward.

J&C congratulations!!!! Enjoy every minute of a well deserved pregnancy!

angram, how are you doing. Hang in ther and stay strong for your happy future.

suzhan, I'm sorry for the pain you're going through. Time will help but it the mean time I'll say a little prayer for you.

To anyone I have missed, I hope all is going well for you and things are always moving towards holdin your new baby.

As for me....I feel as though I have truly given it my best shot to get my lining ready. Its already 6 days past the original planned FET date. I have added acupuncture and had 3 sessions in the past week. I have added more estrogen and fertility yoga classes....stayed well hydrated. I can't think of anything else I can do to build up my lining. Tomorrow morning I will go for another lining check. My hubbie and I have already started discussing what our next move will be if this cycle is abandonned. Trying to protect myself by not being too certain of things. However, if my lining is ready that means we'll be doing the transfer in just a few days which is really exciting. Fingers crossed.

Cycle buddies in March/April anyone?

Post by angram »

nicaliw - Good luck tomorrow, I'm keeping my fingers crossed that your lining is ready and you're on your way!!

ann - I'm so happy to hear all is going well for you and I hope they get you in early next week for your u/s, that seems like it would be a tougher wait than the 2ww. My hubby likes historical places as well, but I didn't give him a choice on this one...said it was beach and margaritas time for me :)

IrishHope - AF is always on time for me, around 28 days, and the cycle before I started stimming I went 35 days! She'll come around for you, I just think our bodies are totally screwed up from all the meds. I'm sending good vibes your way and also hope she comes and goes before your trip to PR!

Hi Neffi, can't wait till we both get started again soon!

rlk1 - Hey chica, it is great to be able to share our thoughts, fears, and dreams with others that understand. This board has been wonderful. I'm so ready for my w/e with the girls, but kinda sad DH is leaving. I told him he had to go, so us girls can chat it up, but it's been a really tough week for both of us and I'll miss him.

kimberley30 - Welcome to the group and good luck tomorrow, I hope your ET is here soon.

Hope everyone else is doing well and ready for the weekend!

As for me, all is well...today was better than yesterday and the days before. My RE has another study (duramed progesterone ring) and I go in tomorrow morning for screening (b/w, u/s, pap, etc), to see if I'm accepted. I hate that we have to do all the tests over again, but it's part of the study process I guess. If all looks good, and if they still have room in the study, I'll start BCP's early May and then move forward with Lupron, etc. If we're not accepted, we'll start BCP's anyway and do another round on our own. I'm just ready for our beach vacation and trying my best to just take some time off.

GOOD MORNING Ladies...

Kimberley30 - Welcome and today will go great as will Monday!! Breathe deep and imagine a little "Jr." in your future...

nicaliw - keep us posted! You have done a great job giving 110% to get yourself ready! That takes alot of work and strength and I hope it pays off for you and that lining is ready! I heard (don't take this as true) but red meat can thicken your lining as well....) anyway thinking of you and hope this FET moves ahead!!

angram - Good luck with the tests and I hope you get accepted! When is your vacation? Time off is so needed thru all of this! I am glad to hear you feel better each day...this is a crazy road but we will make it!! Have a blast with your friends!

suzhan - thinking of you and hope you are healing...we are here for you!

J&C and Ann - hope you feel well!! Keep us posted on every milestone and have a happy 9 mos!!! You deserve it!!

Did I miss anyone?

Neffi - do you know when you'll start cycling again?

for me - AF came last night!! :D so that should mean Day 21 bloodwork on 4/30 and Lupron 5/1...and if all goes like last time I should be thru retrieval and transfer by May 25th or 26th...fingers crossed for a BFP!!

Have a good week next week - I'll be pooside in Puerto Rico!

Stay tough ladies - we will all get BFP!!!

Kimberly, good luck hun! By the way, are you from Birmingham England??? Thats where I'm originally from.

Not good news for me I'm afraid. My lining is unchanged and still not thick enough for FET. Haven't had the official word from the doc yet but nurse suggested we will probably cancel this cycle. I'm a litte worried about that, though, cause the shared risk programe covers 3 fresh and 3 frozen cycles and I'm wondering if this counts as one of my frozen cycles even though the transfer hasn't happened yet. If I am paying for it anyway I think it makes sense to go ahead and transfer the embies and just see what happens. But, then I'm worried thats a potential waste of embryos. What do you all think?????? this is a tough one.

nicaliw - I'm sorry  maybe the doc will call w/ good news. Since there was no transfer I can't imagine they would count it - maybe they "charge" for up to the point you have gotten so far...definately ask. I hope the doc calls w/ good news!!

Happy Friday, everyone!

Kimberley: Welcome to the thread! I'm glad that all went well today at your appointment! So it sounds like your ER will be on Wednesday? How exciting! Keep us posted!

Neffi: Okay, good. I will be sure to stalk you but not in the Single White Female way. Did you see that movie? I guess that reference isn't funny if you haven't seen the movie!

Angram: I agree about the DH thing. Not that I don't adore my DH, but it's easier to chat with the girls when the men aren't around. Are these friends from school, or work, or childhood? How fun. I'm glad that you'll have a nice weekend full of support from your friends! How did your appointment go today? When will they tell you if you've been accepted into the study?

IrishHope: Hip hip hooray--I'm glad that AF came!! Hopefully, it won't be much of a problem for you on vacation. Speaking of, you leave soon, right?!? Have fun in sunny Puerto Rico!

Nicaliw: How frustrating. Are you doing okay? I'm in a shared risk program too, and when my first cycle was cancelled that did not count as one of my fresh cycles (even though I was 7 days into stimming). Hopefully, that will be the case for you too. As far as transferring the embryos anyway (since you asked for opinions!), I think if it were me that I would wait until my lining was more suitable. But...that's because I second-guess everything and I think I would be a wreck during the 2WW wondering if I had decreased my chances. How quickly would you be able to try again? Are you leaning towards proceeding with the cycle anyway or waiting? What does your DH think? It's a lot to consider---let us know what you decide.

As for me, I bit the bullet and made my ob-sono appointment. My appointment is on Thursday and they'll let me know if there's a heartbeat or not----soooooo nerve-wracking!!!
