I haven't seen the December thread, so I thought I would start it.
After 2 chemical pregnancies and 1 ectopic since June of last year, we are finally "really" pregnant! My HCG was higher than expected and rose perfectly, so we were elated. My expected due date is 12/9.
I have my first sonogram one week from today and I'm just praying to see our little sac. We probably won't see/hear a heartbeat at 6 weeks, but the RE just wants to be sure the baby is where he/she is supposed to be (likelihood of another ectopic has dropped 50% because they took one of my tubes). I'm 1/2 through the 2nd dreaded 2WW.
I can't wait to meet all of the December Mom's-To-Be and to share this incredible journey!
Hoping everyone is doing well!
Cheryl

IVF - Aug '09 - BFP!
1st Beta - 313, 2nd Beta - 640
I wasn't sure if I wanted to post over here yet, but since you all have, I will jump in.
I am 6 weeks today. We had our first ultrasound yesterday. We did not get to see the heartbeat, but our RE said everything was perfect for where we are. One little yolk sack. I believe him, because this man does not sugarcoat anything.
We have our next ultrasound next Thursday and hopefully we will see the heartbeat then.
Until then, we just keep talking to our little "Peanut" and telling them how much we love them.
I can't wait to hear about your ultrasounds.
Talk to you all soon,
Kris

Jennie - Welcome! How fun to have the same due date! Did you have IVF or FET? What was your beta?
Kris - Hi again! I remember us going back and forth when we had our betas that were so close in range. How reassuring to see your bean. Can't wait to hear about your next U/S!
I have my 1st U/S next Friday. I will be 6W2D. I'm hoping for us to see a heartbeat before we leave for vacation that day. My RE is doing mine a bit early to rule out ectopic.
One of my dear friends went through her second IVF 2 weeks ahead of me and just found out yesterday that she's having twins. It's fun being pregnant with both her, and my BFF (who is 5 months).
Are y'all as exhausted as me? I feel like I could sleep 24/7. I've also had a few days when I "have" to eat every 2 hours. If I keep that pace, I will be waddling by my due date!
Have a great day!

I am with you Cheryl on being exhausted. I come home from work each night and need a 2 hour nap. I've had nausea on and off. Seems to depend on the day. My belly is also a little bit puffy as well. At first I thought I was just imaging it but when I out a shirt on this morning I realized that I wasn't.
My betas were 114, 454 and 1005. The Dr said they all looked great. I was nervous as so many people seem to have higher numbers. Can't wait for the Ultrasound as I think that is when I will believe this is real!!
We have been tttc for a 2 years. Had an ectopic in January 2007. This was out first IVF.
Looking forward to having some buddies to chat with as this is such the "secret" with family and friends. We aren't planning on telling everyone until we finish the first trimester. How about you all?
Cheryl, I have been more tired. I have been getting around 9 hours of sleep a night, where before I got 7 at the most.
I have a little bit of nausea, but not too bad. Each day is a different experience. My latest adventure is heartburn. I keep saying, "throw whatever you want at me, I love it". Actually, when I am having symptoms, I feel more confident.
We told everyone our first IVF cycle and had BFN. The next time, only close family knew. Once we got the BFP, we pretty much couldn't keep it in anymore, so almost everyone knows. Everyone is praying, so we feel that helps.
I have a business trip Mon, Tues and Wed, ultrasound Thursday morning, so I probably won't be able to post until after my ultrasound Thursday. Have a great few days December Mommies buddies. Boy, I hope we see the heartbeat, that will make it all the more real.

Jennie - Good luck with your U/S on the 21st! This tired feeling is overwhelming. I told my DH that I've turned into our cat - sleeping & eating!
Kris - have a great trip and can't wait to hear about seeing the heartbeat! I'm with you - we have told our friends and family as they've gone through 3 failed pregnancies and the IVF's. But this time the pregnancy feels different...more normal. I too told the Lord to give me every sympton - that I wouldn't mind as long as we were pregnant. I think He heard that prayer (ha!)
I have moved my U/S to be Friday instead of Wednesday. I'm hoping that at 6w3d we will be able to see our bean's heartbeat. We go out of town on that Friday for 1 1/2 weeks. I would hate to worry about it if we can't see it...
Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Kris- How are you handling your Prog & Oil injections when traveling? I have to travel in 2 weeks and was not sure how I was going to handle as I can't give myself these. Also are you flying?
Hi everyone. My name is Tamara and I live in Naples, Florida. My due date is Dec. 14 and that seems a million years away. I have my 3rd blood test tomorrow and my ultrasound is scheduled for the 21st. We had 3 embryos transferred so we are super excited to see how many implanted.
My whole family and group of friends know that we are pregnant as they have been very involved in our whole process. All the positive thoughts are good for us.
Alittle about our process (sorry I don't know all the abbreviations)
Me - 37, Hubbie -38
TTC - 6 years
5 IUI's failed
Diagnosed with breast cancer all plans on hold
2 - IVF attempts w. own eggs?ICSI
1 - IVf with donor eggs - failed
1 - IVF w/ new donor/ICSI - SUCCESS!!!
I am very excited to be part of this group and look forward to sharing with all of you.
Tamara - Welcome and Congratulations!!! Bless your heart for all that you've endured to get to your positive. I'm with you on sharing it with loved ones...they just want to be supportive - good or bad! I think your sono is the same day as Jennie's. How fun to have others go through this with.
My news of the day is that I started cramping and given my history, went in for a sono (my 1st one wasn't scheduled until this Friday). Good news - it's twins! Deep breath in...one may not make it because it's so incredibly small. Put it this way, when looking at them on the screen one is the size of a half dollar and the baby is the size of a dime.
We saw a heartbeat on the bigger one, but not one on the baby. The RE said that he will not worry unless a heartbeat can't be seen on Friday.
I would greatly appreciate any / all prayers for my tiny bean to grow strong and healthy...especially by Friday!
Thanks!

Let me begin with introducing myself. My name is archana and I live in India, a country of vibrant colours. TTC period is 5 years but we embarked on this journey of IVF only last year. We have malefactor issues.
Then we had one session of IUI and then 3 fresh ICSI cycles. None of them took!!! We had 5 embabies sleeping in the lab after our last cycle. We thawed all of them this FET in march and 3 survived the thaw. they were transferred on 3/27/08 and I got a positive beta on 4/11/08 which was 150 and after that I haven't been below cloud 9 .
I have my sonography scheduled on 21, same as Tamara when I hope to hear heartbeat of my little one/ ones....being quite wishful!!
My best wishes to all my co cyclers. I hope to have an enriching and happy next approx 8 months with you guys.
Welcome all newbies!!!! I wish you all a successful and healthy pregnancy.
Cheryl- sorry to hear about your cramping but I'm sure will be okay.
Not sure what is going on with me right now. I spotted on Monday (very light no cramps) and the RE told me it was from the PIO. Today I started again. It was heavy bleeding one time and now just a little. I have slight cramps but nothing major. RE told me I have to wait until Monday for u/s as they wouldn't be able to see anything and they wouldn't want to irritate me with an internal....so I am on bedrest and waiting till Monday. Any thoughts or suggestions are much appreciated.
Archana - Welcome! Thank you so much for your well wishes. My sono is on Friday...my heart just feels that the little twin will have "vanished."
Jennie - I'm so sorry to hear of your pain and spotting. I hope everything is okay with you. Please post as soon as you know. You and your bean will be in my prayers.
Looks like 3 of you will have your sonos on the 21st. How fun is that! Can't wait to see all of the results...prayers are will all mommies-to-be and beans.

Hi,
I am due in december 2008 as well. After a 2 year struggle, one negative IUI, 1 -ve IVF, my second IVF ended up with 14 frozen embryos that could not be transferrd due to OHSS. 3 embryos were transferred on 4/4/08. Beta on 4/15/08 510 BFP!!!
I am very excited but nervous at the same time. Next bloodwork is on 4/22 and ultrasound on 4/29. Does anyone have any symptoms yet. I just have the occasional nausea, some fatigue otherwise feel ok, which scares me again. Guess its too early.
Well, congrats to everyone on their BFPs. Good to have so many people to go through this journey together.
