Dear All,
Just to let you know my daughter Niamh May was born on Friday 9th - her due date! She weighs 7.5 and i am totally in love and awe. i was worried about labour and was prepared for the worst but it was much more straight forward then i could have imagined. My labour started with mild period pain at 7 a.m but didn't get painful till about 1.30 and i was at the hospital by 3p.m - 4 cms dilated. By 5.30p.m i was thinking about an epidural so i got in the birthing pool to try and take the edge off the contractions. i had no intention of giving birth in it but before i knew what was happpening she was born at 7:25p.m! I can't describe the emotions we both felt when we held our longed for little girl but it is even better then i could ever have imagined.
Lots of love to you all and your bumbs and i'm sooo glad to be off the top of the role-call list!
Congratulations and well done on the birth of you daughter. You and your DH must be over the moon. The birth seemed to be quite straight forward which is goog to read. I am petrified about the birth and I am only 18 weeks PG. I like to hear that it is easier for some.
Hope you have a wonderful time bonding with Niamh.
Many congratulations on your new arrival and for finally being off the top of the list (it's me now)!! How amazing that she arrived on her due date - especially after our conversation on the topic last week.
I'm soooo pleased that the birth was straightforward and didn't take too long.
I look forward to seeing Niamh soon (hopefully with my little one in tow).
Will call you soon,
Love Alison xx
