Di - we too had to pay and I think you'll go to the clinic we went to. If it is, it's worth every single penny (and more)-they were lovely.We heard about the video thing and were gutted that we had booked on a day where they used a different room and a different machine Never mind, it was all so different from the booking or reassurance scans - 45 minutes of pure pleasure seeing him wriggle and suck his thumb! Enjoy!!!
I replied on your other post but thought I'd leave one for you here too! I can't believe you are house hunting half way through your pregnancy - you mad, mad girl!!! Its very common though, I guess people suddenly decide they need a bigger house - they thought crossed our minds when we realised we were having two. Instead we are going to extend this one for now, build them a playroom.
I haven't bought a single thing! Although I have stopped throwing away all the free stuff in the magazines. I was so bad, I refused to keep anything. So this weeks Mother & Baby gave me a travel changing mat - very useful me thinks!!
I'm off to John Lewis the week after next to buy some stuff. We had a lot of wedding vouchers from there, so we saved them and thought we'd spend them on cots and things. Although dh is a little p!ssed off at this, he had his heart set on lots of shiny silver things with gadgets - you know the sort of thing! We've promised ourselves one thing each and the rest we'll spend on these two.
Haev you given any thought to what you might buy? Its so exciting just thinking about it and reading all the magazines!! I decided if I could get to the 20 week scan, I would finally accept I was pg and try and enjoy the rest of it and start spending!!!

Hi Nikola,
Our next NHS scan would be about 28 weeks the consultant said - far too long to wait! Plus as I've to be monitored for NK cells if this lastest blood result is ok I've to start having doppler scans every 4 weeks. But we thought we'd blow the expense and get a private scan and video.
Dagny - I'm sure I've heard of people being allowed to video their scan but I think it depends on the policy of the hospital. Certainly worthwhile asking!!!
Zoe - we're going to a place in the West End of Edinburgh - is that where you went. We've spefically asked for the video - can't wait. I was just over 13 weeks at last scan and will be 22 for this one!!!
Jackie - good to see you back, we've all been worried about you. Hope vision and headaches improve. And good luck with the househunting!
