question about injection site.......

Post by MyBoyParker »

Ok, sorry if this is TMI, but all day today, my butt has been itching REALLY BAD!! There is one spot on my left cheek that has been itching, and it's that burning, deep type of itch, that is AWFUL! Well, today when I got home, I looked at it in the mirror, and there is a big red spot, and it's hot and warm, and there is a lump (LOL, that sounds lovely........ ) I know it's from an injection site, but is it something I should worry about???? I'd say it's about 3 in across..........

Thanks!

I am not sure which drug you injected there, but can tell you that where I was injected with the trigger shot, it looks the same..still hurts days later. Sometime we have slight reactions to large amunt of drugs being injected into us at once.

I'm no medical professional, but that sounds suspicious. Has something like that happened before? I remember that "warm to the touch" is a symptom of infection. It's probably worthwhile to have it checked out.

I had the same reaction to my progesterone shots. Red, itchy circles on both of my butt cheeks, and both had lumps. My doctor ended up putting me on the sapositories instead. The pain, redness and bumps took a couple of weeks to go away.

THe only thing that worked for me was heating the area with the heating pad for 30 mins prior.. putting the drawn up syringe in very warm water till I needed it.. Then i would heat an hour after. I swear by this. Before doing this i would itchy so bad I was making it bleed!!

I did these shots till 8 weeks. I didn't want to go on suppositories. Just the thought made me cringe. the heat helps the body absorb the oil much easier.

*HUGS* Good luck!
