hello, ive bought some aspirin and some sanatogen pregnacare but on the side of the pregnacare it says not to take any anti co-agulants with the pregnacare.do you think that aspirin is included,as im sure some people have taken both.thanks
Hiya, I took folic acid and asprin at the same time, but not the pregnacare - not because of the warning as I never read the bit about not taking anti coagulants with it, but because I didn't feel it necessary to take a multi vitamin supplement until later on into the pregnancy. It might be an idea to ask the pharmacist - mind you they will always air on the side of caution - it might be worth asking why you shouldn't take them together. Perhaps just take folic acid whilst you are on the asprin then when you stop the asprin (I stopped by 4mths) go onto pregnacare. Its the folic acid thats the really important one early on, the pregnacare has iron to suplement your diet which isn't really necessary until later in pregnancy.
Remember the asprin shouldn't be taken after 5mths into the pregnancy and apparently shouldn't be taken by asthmatics or people who've had/got stomach ulcers.

I've been on low dose asp, sanatogen pronatal, & heparin (I'll be 33 weeks with twins tomorrow). Neither Mr T at the ARGC nor my obtetrician have worried about the combination.
Just wanted to let you know I was taking Sanatogen pronatal and aspirin, if your unsure phone the clinic and ask, best to be on the safe side you want everything to go according to plan.
Love
Shell.
