Evening all! Wow...busy busy day.
First, STress: Glad you got AF going. Mine still hasn't shown up...but again, kind of glad since today we've not been home and I didn't want to be running to all these appointments and cramping. So you will start stims soon..YAY! I wish that I was already to that point, but I'll get there. Oh and what I meant by I was not raised by my mother....is that I wasn't raised by my mother LOL Sorry....ummm, hmmmm how to explain. Well, she met a new man and he didn't want daughters/step children so she left us at her mothers (my maternal grandmother). After a few years of staying there and figuring out that she wasn't coming back, I moved in with my paternal grandparents and my sister stayed with my maternal ones. At 16 my grandparents retired and moved to Florida and I moved in with my father so I could finish out school here. Now I see my mother once a year or so

So again, it's nice to have my husband there so I don't feel as awkward LOL I never really know what to talk about...etc. TMI? Trying to explain it better....so I wasn't exactly homeless or in foster care or anything as tramatic as what my adopted children went through.
As far as Iron, hmmmm I'm not sure. I take Repliva, which is a prescription Iron that my RE called in for my anemia. It has 27 days of active pills and then some purple ones for 7 days that help with the Iron somehow...but those purple ones don't have Iron in them. I eat about 10-20 prunes a day to keep the Iron from stopping me up, or a bowl of Kashi granola cereal with flax in it, or maybe a few Kashi or Fiber bars for snack throughout the day. It's worked so far

Your body will only soak up what it needs though...with any vitamin I think that is pretty standard. Then you lose the rest through waste. If you don't think you're getting enough Iron, the RE will tell you....I wouldn't worry about getting more unless they said something, Iron can make you really sick if you get an overdose of it.
HandsAndFeet: Welcome! No they won't exclude you from the study for meds...unless they interfere with their meds/protocol. She even asked me if I was on anything at the consent visit so she could write it down. You'll just have to call and ask them about your meds. Each clinic decides on stimming meds. I know mine is a bit different than the other ladies that I've read about on this board as well as the other board (mostly TX study girls). You can find it at
http://forums.fertilitycommunity.com/vi ... tx-53.html and as I said...most of those ladies are from TX in the study, so you might find a buddy or two there

that would be able to tell you more about the TX clinics and their protocol. Welcome again, best of luck!!!
Becca: Aren't those people nice...the ones with just enough information to make them annoying! LOL We get a lot of those with our adopted kids, you wouldn't believe how bold people are....well maybe you would LOL They tell you things about a brothers friends girlfriend that adopted older kids and the kids killed the parents...etc. I just look at them and usually walk away LOL We haven't told anyone (well 1 friend) that we're going through IVF....we didn't mention adoption until we were well on our way and through all the hurdles, just made it easier to dismiss those doubters and not let them get us down early on in the process. Thank you (I think LOL) about the compliment too, I don't really see them as bold....I'm actually the person that HATES change LOL so I see them as slow evolving changes in my life, not bold at all.
KNR: Praying for your safe journey!
Why: I worried about getting kicked out of the study until the RE nurse told us at the shot class that even if a test or something came back 'off' they could still allow us to complete our cycle for the amount paid (in my case 3500). The study sponsor couldn't use our data in that case though, but still she said that the cycle wouldn't be a complete loss

That made me feel a LOT better since I do have a cyst and my lining was a little thin last US. Can't wait to hear about your Beta test

Are you going to POAS? I do think that the dryness and irritation could be caused by the Progesterone ring but I'd ask. It's not listed in the paperwork under risk of the vaginal ring, it actually says discharge would be one as well as yeast infection...but I don't see dryness. Maybe that's a pregnancy related side effect????

PMA!!!!
Well, off to get supper going......nothing new with me

Just waiting on AF!
