Looking for another 2ww buddy

Post by nicaliw »

Hi there,

I'm a little crazy in the 2ww (actually just a 9 day wait) and was wondering if anyone wants to vent and worry with me. I know worrying is not good but we do it anyway, may as well do it together.

Please keep me company.

Hi Nikki! I too am in my 2ww. I am 5dp5dfet. I will have my first blood test next Monday, the 28th. I just read here that HcG takes longer in frozen transfers so that calms me a bit, but I have been obsessed. My husband called me negative last night! EEK! I am trying so hard to stay positive and remember that it's the Lord's will, not mine, that's important here. Hard to do!

Keeping my fingers crossed and hoping for the best!!

Hi Sam and Coco, I'm so glad to have someone to share the insanity with.
You both are testing on the same day, cool! I test on the 27th.
This was my first FET and I think I screwed up because I went ahead with the transfer despite being cautioned against it by my RE because my lining was only 6.9mm :(
I am not expecting this to work but I'm still doing everything I need to do to maintain it if I do get lucky.
How many embryos did you both transfer? I transfered 4 blasts, 2 were already hatching. Interestingly, my RE originally said he would not transfer more than 2 for me because our problem is male factor......now he's evidently willing to transfer 4! Hopefully the doubled number of embryos will offest the poor lining situation.
I already sat this morning and planned out when my next cycle should be. I think June with an early July transfer as long as my body co-opeates. I had a bad experience last time. I got pregnant then miscarried at 5 weeks. My RE expected my beta would drop and I'd do my FET in February. Well, my beta took 7 weeks to drop then I had to wait for 2 periods! I detest waiting and it took 5 months between transfers. I think thats why I went ahead wit the transfer despite the docs advice.
Wow I do a lot of complaining and chatting.
On a more positive note......the embryos looked wonderful
and there is always a chance that one could find a place thick enough to implant. I don't have any sysmptoms yet, how about you 2? last time my nipples were really sore by now. Oh well, maybe the hcg hasn't had chance to get going yet because of it being a FET this time.

Hi Nikki - sorry about your miscarriage - Hope it definitely works out for you this time. Hopefully you wouldn't have to worry about doing another cycle and this one would work.

Dang 4 embies transferred - so you ready for quadruplets?? LOL I hope you get at least one that implant and you dont have to worry about anything. Just stay positive you are very strong woman!!

We transferred 2 8-cell embryos best quality is what I was told by my RE so hoping these would implant and I wouldn't have to worry about anythign else.

Although, this 2ww is making nervouse and anxious - I am keeping my fingers crossed and praying this is it for me and hope things will work out for best.

2ww!

Post by Marin »

Hi all

I am also 5dp5dt (FET)! First IVF 1/08, transferred 1 blast, BFN. Last Jan 1/07- got BFP with clomid and IUI. Never grew, D+E 3/07.

This time transferred 2 blasts... HCG on 4/29 but I dont think I will last past Thursday! When I was BFP before, I got a faint + on 12dpo so Thursday will be technically 12 dpo so maybe we have a chance of a +.

Anyone having any wierd signs? I have woken up at 4AM for the past 2 nights unable to sleep (very unlike me). Also even wierder, having this intermittent vibrating feeling "down there". I have tried to feel where it is coming from but have not been able to isolate it other than to say, somewhere inside/up in there! Otherwise the other signs are all AF signs- big bbs, cramps etc... I usually start spotting around now and nothing so far.... keeping fingers crossed.

sam....I know 4 sounds like a lot and I was a little nervous but those poor little embie don't have the best landing pad in there so I stopped worrying about it. I'll take whatever God gives us. Sounds promising that your embies were top quality! I hope this is your time. Are you having any symptoms? I'm not, except for being extremely emotional all the time. My boobs hurt and I have some aching in my uterus but thats most likely the progesterone.

Hi Marin....sounds good so far, no spotting! I have no clue what the vibrating sensation could be, thats definitelyon I've never heard of before.

Hang in there ladies, just a few more days.

Who has poas already???

Nikki - The only symptoms I have right now is sore bbs, lil cramping, emotional, bloated!!! I have not spotted - not sure if I need to be worried about it. Since they say if you spot that's due to implantation but if you don't spot at all I wonder if it's something to be concerned about?

Have you guys heard anything about not spotting??

I understand you wanna transfer the best and most as possible - and if i were you I would have done the same thing and would have left the rest on god. I hope they do implant and things work out for you :)

Marin - welcome and I have never really heard anything about vibrating down there, but everyone responds differently to everything. But no spotting and cramping sounds promising..

hang in there and stay positive - we are almost there :)

Sam...I have hear lots of times that spotting in the 2ww is a good sign....like you said its a sign of implantation. Maybe your embies are geting cozy? In fact, bleeding like a period almost is not uncommon with IVF pregnancies. I was alarmed to learn this when I started bleeding after my BFP. The nurse didn't seem concernec at all. Obviuosly, that didn't have a happy ending but I have heavy bleeding with clots and cramping....not just spotting.

I'm feel quite reassured tonight because my boobs are finally becoming more painful. They'e reached the point where they even hurt without me pokin them. Last time they did this and I was pregnant. Please God, let us all be pregnant!

Hey ladies!

I have not done a test and don't plan to. I just can't do it. Although knowing before the call that it is negative might be helpful. I hate that dang call! But if I get a positive and then a negative beta I will be beyond crushed.

I don't have any symptoms other than progesterone and estrogen side effects - sore/large breasts, slight cramping, a little dizziness, constant hunger and exhaustion. I figure if this were natural, I would be 9 days pregnant. Symptoms don't really show up that early, right? Besides, HcG takes longer to climb with an FET, I read.

Either way, the Lord could bless us all, so we just have to trust Him!

Oh well let's just stay positive and keep our fingers crossed and hope for the best :)

I get to do HPT on 27th so I only have 3 days left...ugh, wish 27th was today LOL

HI Sameera, I wanted to respond to your posted personally becuase it reminded me of wehn i was in my 2 ww. Everday I went down there looking and praying and hoping for blood so I can deem it " implanation bleeding". I wanted it soooooo bad that i would actually think I see it there but it wasnt!. ( silly ehh?) Anyway. I am now 15 weeks preggo and havent had a drop of blood since my last menstrual in January... And now believe it or not, when I wipe i pray i see nothing but the color of my tissue!... But i did not have and implanation bleeding. Infact 50% of women wont get it....
But for the rest of you mommies2be, I thought i share how i knew i was preggo, i know how reading other stories takes the time away, thats all i did! I had a 6dt and my beta was scheduled 7 days later. Throughout the 2ww i peed alot and had breast soreness and bloating but these are all teh symptons i got reguarly. Ladies you have to remember that your body is gearing up for a menstrual cycle like it always does ( sad right/)and it doesnt know that you have a lil embie in there waiting to implant! so it is normal to have menstrual symptons. Ok back to my story... So I wanted to test b4 my beta so i can be comfortable with my results and not throw a fit in the doc office. So on the day of my beta which was 7dp6dt, i brought me a hpt, stuck it in my pocket and went to my doc took my blood and left. as i left and was in the elevator i was dizzy! and i just didnt feel quite right. But i didnt attribute that to pregnany since i had never been preggo( im 27) any way i ran back to my office and peed on that stick like i was niagra falls..... and that pink line we hate cums up immediately... i waited and waited and bingo! i was indeed preggo. my doc does not give beta results until 2nd beta to assure that they are doubling and this saves you the agony of knowing u have beta then it failing...I called him the next day and told him i took a test and i was preggo and i wantd him to confirm it, and he said he didnt like to do that becuz the # can fail.. I said "tell me dammit" (just kidding) He said my beta was 50!. Needless to say they kept on rising and rising...
So ladies you think the 2ww is hard! wait until your preggo and you re says "ok, no more betas see youn in a month for your first ultrasound!" (uugghh)..
Anyway i ran my mouth enuf. I wish you all well.. Please keep us posted on your results!

Nicaliw, special prayers for you, i remember you from our oct mommiesto be....

Sameera,

Im glad I can share. You are so right that we over analyze everything. but look thats normal to do that but the downside of it is what you put yourself through. The whole time i was on the 2ww i was praying for blood. I would pee when i didnt have to just to see that "implanation bleeding" everyone talks about. And after the 2ww and i was confirmed preggo. I was on the 4ww so we can see an ultrasound to confirm a sac and possible a hb. On that 4ww i was hoping i didnt see blood becuz then that meant a miscarriage. And then after the 4ww I was on the 8ww which is when you are out of the first trimester, which is when you become sure your not gona miscarry.. Throughout all those waits, i was waiting for something bad to happen, becuz thats just how we think. It seems when you are doing ivf you just have this notion that something bad is going to happen. I guess from all the readings we do.. But Sameera, I beat myslef to death hoping for blood then not hoping for blood the preaying for a hb then praying to get to week 10, then 12 then 14.. it just never ended! Then after that its the nuchal test, where they measuer thefat on babys neck to make sure he/she is not at risj for downs or other health problems. My god, it makes the 2ww seem like a kiddie ride compares to what you will go through when you are preggo. And o dont forget about the days you wont feel anyhting and deem yourself having a miscarriage becuz you dont "feel preggo" I had my share of thosw days too. I had sore breat very early like 5weeks, and constipation. No nasuea then at 8ww the nausea came full on and I still have it. SO you see where all my worrying got me.........no where. But its normal to do it. but remember for all the stories you read that end in tragedy remember the ones like mine that dont all....

Girl if you only knew how this ivf cycle was supposed to fail for me becuz all 17 of myeggs stop grwoing.., it would bring you hope. I got preggo off on 1 6dayer..... Go figure.. If its suppose to happen.. it will.

IM DUE OCT 18!!!! You better keep me posted and please feel free to update me ask question or just to talk to past the time away.....I got 5.5 months worht of time to past...heheehee

Mbre, I remember you too! Congratulations on staying prego! I bet you are relieved to be so far along now?

Well, I have some good news of my own. Last night I got a BFP on 2 hpt's!!!!!!!! Yipeeeeeeee. The first one was a dollar store test and I almost dismissed it as negative but as I looked closer there was the faintest 2nd line that you almost couldn't see with the naked eye. So a couple of hours later I broke down and did another one, this time a FirstResponse test. Same thing only much clearer.....the second pink line popped up within 1 1/2 minutes. My DH and I are ecstatic and stayed up late because we were just grinning from ear to ear and couldn't think about sleeping. I woke up super early (5am) needing to pee and feeling nauseous and starving! We thank God for our blessing!
